What the fuck is Roger Moore's problem...

What the fuck is Roger Moore's problem? Why does he even bother reviewing non-Pixar/indie animation if he just hates it all and thinks anyone who likes them are emasculated and suffering from arrested development?

>Roger Moore

The James Bond actor?

It's actually Sean Connery
it's just SIGNED by Roger Moore

Oh come on, the HTTYD franchise is retardedly overrated and its themes are largely coming of age related, it's pretty fair to consider its adult fans manchildren.

I find his reviews entertaining. Whenever you try to challenge him and tell that no, animation doesn't actually work the way he says, he says he knows plenty of old school animators personally so he knows better.

>No kidding, six minutes into it, I go track down the studio’s representative at the screening, who had overseen other showings of the film in our market. No, that’s just how it looks, he assures me.

99% sure he's just making shit up

I only remember this franchise because of Polyle's Astrid abuse comics

I'm pretty sure he just wants to be "that guy" who must criticize anything new and popular. But that's what critics do. And that's why I could never be a critic, you have to pretend you don't enjoy anything and be extremely cynical.

No you don't, plenty of critics exist who are positive or even-handed. But if that's how you interpret it, you're right, it's not for you.

No excuse for it if you don't have an editor. Sensationalism has no place in reviews and belongs in the realm of clickbait buzzfeed pieces.

>What the fuck did you just fucking say about me you little bitch?

What's he talking about here? The framerate at which the Spiderverse characters move? I haven't seen the movie. Does he think going for a stylistic framerate choice means your studio is shit?

Yes I'm pretty sure he's talking about the frame rate as he compares it to "60s TV anime".

Spider-verse doesn't use motion blur and uses the smear technique from times long bygone. If Bond only listens to industry expertise modern 3D animators of course it makes sense he'd believe that motion blur is quality and a lack of motion blur is not.

He's goddamn fucking retarded. Miles being animated on the twos and Peter being animated on the ones in the forest scene was kino as fuck, he made a huge fucking deal about something that ultimately reveals he has no critical eye for animation because he's too busy thinking about what a meming shitlord he's gonna be to people who raise objections to his classy knee-jerk opinions.

I like how he has never actually made anything, been a part of anything, or contributed to anything, only chat with other people who have. But that makes his own judgment mean more than everyone else in the world including those same content creators.

Nah, movie critics are typically massive fans for classic stuff like noir or they pretend to only like Shakespeare adaptations. If a movie consists of something more than 2 hours of sad crying in black and white with depressing music then it's "Typical Hollywood shit" to them. And the thing that pisses them off the most are any movie that might have merch attached to it. They tend to view most major Hollywood flicks and Disney movies as nothing more than 2 hour long toy commercials and they instantly hate everything about it for that reason alone.

it's okay to dislike low framerate
i just prefer it. probably because my eyes are shit.

what are the movies that he actually likes?

>you have to pretend you don't enjoy anything and be extremely cynical.
Not anymore or all the popular movies would be shit on. Critics used to have the image of elitists snobs now they're all fanboys
