Hussie and the fiasco of Homestuck ending sparked my interest in drawing, and Zoophobia made me wonder if it's too late to get into the webcomic game. I'm definitely older than Viv was when she started but younger than Hussie was when he started Homestuck (not sure about Problem Sleuth). I've been trying to draw more frequently and am starting a webcomic soon, still writing out the plot (because one thing I did learn from Hussie was that you can't just have a beginning and ending in mind; the path there is fucking important)

The point of military spending is twofold:
1. To maintain military dominance over China. This is a necessity if we want to use China as our primary manufacturing slave nation.
2. To maintain optimal inefficiency. Yes, inefficiency. An efficient military is useful, but a hypercompetent one is dangerous. The military serves as both a sword to foreign nations and a breadbasket to its people, effectively employing and helping educate millions of Americans who might not have had a chance at success otherwise. The StoneToss/RedPanels guy is very obnoxious to me because of the amount of political proselytizing in his work, but I can't even say he's the worst member of the "comic exists solely as a vehicle for ideology" camp of webcomics. ST is more offensive for what it represents (IE, cheap, low-effort pandering and attempts at stoking outrage to get pageviews) than anything about the comic itself, as the art and writing are bland and disposable. It's clearly a mercenary enterprise and I can't say much more about it than that. Something like nu-Sinfest is more aggrevating because it seems like Tatsuya genuinely believes the hateful, misanthropic nonsense he spews and is aggressive about selling it to his readers. You can tell the ST guy is just just him cynically whipping up these Adam Ellis tier doodles and presenting them to the world in pursuit of social media infamy, whereas Tats' work has an unpleasant evangelistic tone.

Putting aside the more overtly political webcomic authors, I'd like to nominate Ryan Schomer of "Least I Could Do" fame as the all-time worst. He's a miserable scumbag with a horrible personality who creates a comic that like him has no endearing qualities. Fuckley and Knobson are at least fun to make fun of, but Schomer has only ever inspired dispassionate loathing in me.
