Act 6 pretty much sacrifices all narrative intrigue for an absurdist meta-narrative clusterfuck. Hontestly the best way to read act 6 is to just ignore all the intermissions post act 6 act 6, this also cuts the length down by like, 90%

The worst aspects of the fandom essentially hijacked the comic. As other people have pointed out Act 6 is where any semblance of a reasonable narrative is thrown out the window in favour of shipping, pandering, and meta nonsense. Essentially abandons the idea of it going somewhere to keep the story going as long as possible to keep the money rolling.
I'm not sure when it started getting that way though. A lot of people say it's as early as Act 5. But for me the turning point was when Hussie tried to get in on the Kickstarter craze with Hiveswap as was more or less robbed by the developers he contracted to make it for him (It's rumored that they embezzled the Kickstarter money to make King's Quest). That was the point I noticed thing started taking a nosedive.
