What's this I hear about Bendis ruining my little older brother?
What's this I hear about Bendis ruining my little older brother?
Bendis is writing him, therefore he is ruined.
Shouldn't you be in a grave my man
You had your chance to kill Didio, ya blew it.
What I wouldn’t give for a Johns/Manapul ongoing featuring Conner and a de-aged Jon being bros.
Sigh.
>little older brother
I...you know, sometimes I can't believe I can read shit like this and know its entirely accurate. Fuck's sake.
Clones don't have brothers
>Conner and 10 year old Jon having broventures
This sounds unbelievably great.
Who'd be your ideal writer/artist for this theoretical team up we'll never get
You can't talk to my older little cousin uncle brother dad like that, he's only 5!
Golly gee, Jon, why do you have such a weird family tree? Might want to talk to pops about that.
>Connor trying (key word being "trying") to act as an older brother figure to Jon
>instead they get along better when Connor drops the schtick, and lets himself be a little immature, with a bit of his YJ-era characterization shining through
>Jon manages to talk Connor into pulling off the prank to end all pranks
>shenanigans ensue
They should try and see if they can pull a cameo for Connor in Super Sons. It's officially non-canon now anyways thanks to Jon's age up in the main Superman comics and this sounds like the exact sort of narrative that would work for those comics.
Superbros artbump
Superboys:
Tomasi/Johns/Loeb all writing both in rotation and collaboratively
With Jimenez, Dexter Onions, and Jonboy Meyers rotating on pencils.
Teen Titans :
Damian, Jon, Sideways, Roundhouse, Crush, Djinn, Kid Flash
Glass has done well so far so I'd let him keep the title. Gleason on art.
Disband Titans, keep up YJ but throw Bendis off of it, start a new JLA and make Nightwing lead it. JL would be it's own thing that works both internationally and in space.
More than what was asked but it's what should happen imo.
All of Tomasi's current Adventures of the Supersons series is explicitly stated to take place between the final issue of their ongoing and the BENDISING.
Tom King and Francis Manapul
this new arc is pretty good
Well fuck. No fun allowed then. Can dream, I guess. Or, y'know, they could dump Bendis and his chucklefuck ideas
Can't say I see anything I disagree with here.
>Johns writing
no
>Tom King and Francis Manapul
Fuck no, King would just go for his usual "every superhero needs to have mental issues" route and it would bleak and depressing to read.
Tomasi or Yang and that girl who did the Shazam backup in issue 1
>Fuck no
This. Manapul should be left alone.
Reminder that Rebirth Conner is still Lobdell's Conner, who was cloned from an alternative evil Jon raised by a time-traveling future from the 31 century, New 52 bitchy Lois, and New 52 Superbro. So Conner is partially Jon's clone.
Bendis is the one that brought you back to life, you ungrateful shit.
thats a good thing
How come Conner Kent doesn't look like this in the new comic
I preferred previous one
It isn't.
>calls Anti Montor a bitch and a fag as he murks him
Goddamn that was glorious
Yes, it is. Bendis is keeping Lobdell's continuity.
Says who?
Bendis and his Young Justice comic.
Benis respecting someone elses continuity, good joke. He is pretty infamous of throwing everything that others might have written or where writing at the time about certain superhero to trashbin to do whatever the fuck he wants.
anyone have a scan? this sounds glorious
I'm pretty sure Death and Return got restored to continuity by Superman Reborn.
And dear god all of Lobdell's new 52 revamps of the YJ sidekicks were so horrible, I don't mind Bendis throwing them out.
That being said I sincerely hope Bendis gets kicked off the Superman books and Jon gets deaged and reset asap.
>my little older cousin
FTFY
SO MUCH THIS
AND SO MUCH THIS
Sadly, Manpul seems OK as a writer if he's working with someone, alone - not so much
>Bendis is keeping Lobdell's continuity.
Not that user but it was already undone by Superman Reborn and even though Bendis gives fuckall to continuity, he hasn't undone Rebirth but generally followed it to the degree he hasn't pissed on it
>Connor Kent, the forgotten son of the House of El, finds himself arriving on the doorstep where it all started; The Kent Family farm in Smallville, KS. But upon arrival, he discovers the devastating news; Ma and Pa Kent have passed on, but that can't be right. Connor heads to Metropolis to find the only family he knows he has left, Clark and Kara. Upon arrival in Metropolis, Connor comes face to face with one of Superman's foes, Atomic Skull, and intervenes. But with Connor on the ropes, he finds himself being saved by a family member he never knew he had; Jon Kent, the Superboy!
I'd also toss in some Mon-El.
