I think it would have been better if his go to aliens were Ben's lesser used ones.
Agreed. Same with Kevin. Seeing ‘edgy’ version of the aliens Ben is using is so lazy.
Choose 10 aliens for Albedo to use that Ben usually forgets he has
In UAF I'd give him:
Blitzwolfer
Snare-Oh
Frankenstrike
Wildvine
Eye Guy
Ditto
Nanomech
Ripjaws
Grey Matter
And Human form Ben as his 10th
But in a way, he did.
Omniverse made it so that he only transformed into Ultimate forms of the aliens Ben had.
Dante?
He was the laziest and most redundant villain the series ever came up with.
A few of the same aliens, a few of the old ones that ben couldn't access at the time, and a few new ones. Would have been a good sprinking
Yet he was also one of the most fun.
BRING ME CHILI FRIES!
He was pretty funny. But I didn't like the fact he had a omnitrix too
Why does he look like Dante?
didn't know there was a DMC cartoon
Sasuke is shit no matter what show hes in
I feel like he should’ve been “the replacement Ben” or, a “competent galactic Ben”, for when Ben is busy with other situations
Since Ben took off the Omnitrix to life a normal life, Albedo recognized “holy shit, he cannot do that due to how horrifying this universe is” and built his own Omnitrix, equipped with the best aliens he saw fit for the job. However, two things factor into his turn to evil
Stolen glory: Ben gets dozens of awards for his work, and constant stress about the job causes Albedo to snap
>The Superior Ben 10
I'd watch it.
Dante from Devil May Cry was in a cartoon?
Same
I have never watched been 10 and just with that pic I can tell that's an eeevul version of the MC.
why is that trope so common?
You can’t give Albedo GreyMatter - his whole schtick was that he was stuck in human form and couldn’t return to his Galvan origin.
>Kevin Eleven
>Albedo
>Eon
I don't see why Ben needed to have 3 evil opposites in his rogues gallery.
Was Eon even considered an “evil opposite”?
I mean yes, he was definitely evil. And he was technically an alternate timeline Ben. But the similarities end there.
He didn’t have an Omnitrix, he couldn’t transform, or use alien powers. He did his time travel thing, and from what I recall, he seemed to have a bigger beef with Professor Paradox
Literally thought this was supposed to be a stealth Devil May Cry thread
I have having trouble choosing one that Ben wasn't using at the time or wasn't covered by one of the Amalgam kids
I liked that OV made ultimate aliens exclusive to Albedo, way better use of that concept to differentiate them beyond the color palette and helped drive home that Ben didn't need them.
I’d actually rather see him with a mix of Ben’s forgotten aliens, and a few that Ben DOESNT have. Not even just ultimates, but species that Albedo could have picked up scanning the seedy underbelly of the universe. You know he’s got to have some shady connections somewhere
That kind of already happened with the nemetrix,
Not really - the nemetrix was composed completely out of feral “predator” species, which is why it had to be worn by a dog. If Albedo tried to use one of those, he /really/ would have gotten fucked in the head.
I’m talking more along the lines of what we saw in Incarcercon, or some of the more exotic members of Undertown. Maybe a transformation of whatever species Syphon was. That could have been pretty cool.
him having access to the Ultimate aliens when Ben doesn't is a good call
he prefers power
Ben prefers creativity
sure
Ben ended up beating him with Atomix though
Isn’t Atomix canonly Ben’s strongest alien that isn’t AlienX?
Yeah, pretty much
So then the fact that he beat Albedos “ultimates” shouldn’t come as that big of a surprise
It was more of an argument against that guy’s claim that Ben’s more about creativity, because he used his alien that was all about power against Albedo rather than a more creative one
That's what they basically did in Omniverse. He could use Ultimate forms while Ben couldn't. DESU I prefered that change.
>Not really - the nemetrix was composed completely out of feral “predator” species, which is why it had to be worn by a dog. If Albedo tried to use one of those, he /really/ would have gotten fucked in the head.
This is something that I found pretty weird. Where is the line for which species is sapient and which isn't drawn? Vulpimancers are feral. Canonically, the Omnitrix has dolphin dna. So what's up with that?
Just go with Ghostfreak
Ben didn't use him regularly again until OV
Depends on how much control his gravity alien or magnetism alien have over there respective powers.
They could easily be stronger.
Ghostfreak is dangerous and really not worth the risk when Big Chill covers most of his powerset but without the drawback of your body potentially getting taken over by an angry alien warlord.
Lodestar and Gravattack were some cool fuckers, and it's a shame that Ben spammed Feedback so much instead of using them more
Didn't Gravattack once increase his gravitational pull to the point he accidentally created a blackhole?
To be fair, Feedback’s pretty powerful
He didn't use Feedback that much after he recovered him. One alien that is pretty much wasted potential is Clockwork. If Maltruant is anything to go by, Clockwork can be all of the main villain stands from JJBA rolled into one.
To be fair I think that was when he was fighting a Time Beast who could manipulate time
Better Evil Ben incoming
Dark Matter is goat
Can't tell if this is something from DA or legit.
pic was from google images, because only autists like the reboot, but reboot Kevin is legit
It is, his Dark Matter’s pretty cool
>Omniverse ends on a high note and teases a cosmic roadtrip arc
>instead of getting that we get a half-assed reboot
Literally why
They decided to give Kevin's an omnitrix in the reboot, he got the blueprints in dream so it's implied someone is using him as way to fuck up Ben, might be Vilgax or Albedo, specially because Kevin tempered with his omnitrix giving him more savages or mutant versions of his aliens, the show crew said this is going to backfire eventually, so Mutant Kevin might still be on the menu
I'll forgive the reboot if it ends with nu-ben resetting the universe with Alien X
So what, they share aliens? Since Ben's says he can select those and suddenly Kevin has them
Well, so far it seems Kevin has counterparts for Ben’s original line up, in addition to his Loboan form Bashmouth. But Ben no longer has Overflow, Grey Matter, Wildvine and Upgrade
In the reboot, Ben can only have 10 aliens at a time. So everytime he unlocks a new Alien, one of his old ones gets locked.
I dislike this but at the same time I feel like this is what Kevin should've been all along
Not true, when he unlocked Gax, that was his 11th form, he just keeps rebooting the poor Omnitrix
I think Maltruant may have been enhanced, we don’t have any “good” Chronosapiens to compare him to, but when Ben 23 went Upgrade on Ben as Clockwork, Maltruant still beat them
This one even has the same color scheme.
It's also possible Ben is simply inexperienced with Clockwork and a real chronosapien that has lived for billions of years was out of his league.
Vulipimancers aren’t completely feral though. They have a sense of “self”, and a complete language. It just doesn’t translate because it is too complicated for current universal translators.
The same goes for dolphins, I suppose. In Ben’s universe they are considered to be sapient, and have enough intelligence to be a candidate for whatever guidlines the Omnitrix has.
It’s possible that there are other species out there that would have qualified for inclusion into the DNA bank, but for whatever reason they haven’t. Maybe they haven’t been scanned. Maybe Myaxx’s scanner mosquitos were all destroyed before they got a chance to send enough data. Maybe there is a limit to the number of species a planet can donate. I don’t know, and it hasn’t really been addressed aside from the meta idea of “we don’t really want to go too deep into this, and also hitchhikers guide to the galaxy lol”
The Omnitrix only scans the dominant sentient species on a planet.
And from what I remember, only the Milky Way has been scanned so far.
*Wahoo*
Chili Fries
*Jump cancels into Fourarms*
How did Ben even compete?
By being pure smug.
I only watched like the first season of the original Ben 10
why the fuck is Dante from Devil May Cry in it
god, that was probably the worst part of Alien Force, in where he opens up every dialogue with "Hey I'm Ben, savior of the universe, want to not fight me?"
By not having edgy Ultimate forms in Omniverse
I legit thought this was an edited shitpost. This character design is fucking real? Got damnit Dante!
If you watched later seasons you would have seen the official stamp on the logos
>Designing Aliens that won't be made into popular toys
This is why you're broke.
But that isn’t entirely true - as it is canon that it has not only Human DNA, but also dolphin and lab mouse as well. It was a shout out to hitchhikers guide to the galaxy from the writers, but if there’s more than one species that has roughly human equivalents on a planet, how can the Omnitrix determine which is the dominant one? What happens if you get to a planet and it’s got one species dominating land and another dominating water? Or two land based species currently at war? It gets kind of fuzzy if you restrict it to only the dominant one.
>When you realise the Ultimatrix was just Majin Form
Dante?
You laugh but Dante with an omnitrix would be far from the most bizarre weapon he's ever had.
Just give him his devil trigger back.
