So how did they do? Any stand out portrayals of characters? Did they do good with Mister Negitive and Doc Ock’s origin stories?
So how did they do? Any stand out portrayals of characters...
they did good
Despite their gameplay being ass, they did good for MJ and Miles.
Yes. You will like their version of Miles. Just as good as the animated version, maybe even more flawed.
Its a pretty looking open world game where you play as spiderman.
Idk it's not on Xbox cause nips hate money.
Mister Negative’s origin story is completely different but it’s the case of the game version being the better than the comic version.
Doc Ock is really well done and accurate.
For me personally I liked Peter, JJJ, Miles, and Ock the most.
>not being able to afford both consoles
>the year 1009.5 x 2
The game is 10/10 both in characterization and story. The only bad part of the game was the DLC
>this games JJJ is literally just Alex Jones
"I DON'T LIKE SPIDERMAN PUTTING CHEMICALS IN THE WATER, THAT TURN THE FRICKIN FROGS GAY!"
Anons, I don't wanna be that guy but if you like this game and Spider-Verse what you really like is actually just Dan Slott's run on Spider-Man.
The main game was fantastic, the DLC was shit.
What a retarded statement. First of all, this game pulls from various decades of Spider-Man material. Second, Dan Slott occasionally had the okay idea, but for the majority of his run and mostly his tail end of it was shit. Thankfully Chris Gage wrote this game and actually made Martin Li fucking interesting for once.
No, not even close. Miles isn't bad, but movie Miles is so fucking ahead of him it's laughable.
Overall, the writing isn't great. It's okay. There's a lot of characters saying things because they have to - responding to "I work alone" with "So do I... at least, I used to" and cliche shit like that. However, the characterizations (separate from the scriptwriting) are strong. Peter is funny (in-universe, at least - he doesn't crack too many good jokes here) and passionate and at times angry and sad in general he shows the wide breadth of emotional range a well characterized Spider-Man should show. MJ does a bit of "I'm MAD at you because of YOU being SPIDER-MAN and I don't NEED you to take CARE of me" but there is an impressive moment in the DLC for her. When she finds out Black Cat may have had Peter's child, she's initially cliche relationship drama angry, but she actually calls back and says she overreacted and Peter isn't at fault at all for something he did while they were broken up. Norman is well characterized as the smug sociopath he is.
The game has the slimy veneer of Dan Slott's sticky fingerprints all over it, with tons of Slott-era elements and tropes being used (Mr. Negative, the FEAST center, Doc Ock dicksucking, Peter being overly shit on, etc.) but for the most part it's just a veneer and isn't too objectionable.
>Dan Slott's run on Spider-Man
>anywhere near the quality of Spider-Verse
motherfucker you BETTER be talking about the comic Spider-Verse and not the movie.
MJ should have been a nudist
Fantastic. Doc Ock and Peter were stand outs. And they even made Miles not awful too! The only character I didn't like was MJ, plus her levels were a fucking slog. Other than that, great game and great adaptation.
Slott didn’t write this game. He was only advised on Mister Negative since he created that character. Everything else was Gage.
>Ock dicksucking
Did you not see how hard Norman rekt him in the end? It was the Virgin Ock vs Chad Norman meme
>Slott didn’t write this game. He was only advised on Mister Negative since he created that character. Everything else was Gage.
Gage is Dan Slott's fucking co-conspirator. Recall that Gage wrote this bullshit.
Norman did indeed wreck him but there was still a lot of Doc Ock being Too Good, if you feel me. They laid it on a little thick.
No he isn’t. Slott only influenced Negative and anyone who thinks that Slott’s Ock is retarded.
What do you mean by too good. Morally? Plot armor? I’ll argue with you on both. Expand and explain.
>No he isn’t. Slott only influenced Negative and anyone who thinks that Slott’s Ock is retarded.
Gage is a shit writer because the dialogue in this game is boring as fuck. There are memorable events in this game, but almost no memorable lines.
Doc is a little Too Brilliant and also Too Kind to Peter. They really want to sell us on Otto Octavius like he's not going to turn into an 8-limbed sociopath.
It was pretty good and got me to like Mister Negative. I'd say the biggest (non-DLC) downside would be Mary Jane "I can handle myself, so let me engage in crappy stealth missions and end up needing rescue" Watson.
I'm kind of eh with Miles here. He didn't really do much for me to really care about him. I don't dislike him, he's useful and stuff. But eh.
Yeah, why are the DLC stories so bad?
The dialogue was one the best things about this game. It all felt very natural and intuitive.
>little too brilliant
Like how he couldn’t solve the neurological malfunctions and even succumbed to them and improved it?
Like how his Sinister Six plan failed miserably?
Like how he had long heart to heart talk with Peter about how he should give up the project but only a few seconds after he saw Norman’s speech on the TV and decided to go back to it? Very brilliant.
>Too kind to Peter
Well yeah that his redeeming factor at the start. Otherwise you will get a 2 dimensional villain. Ock was set up as a father figure for Peter which why it hurts so much that Ock went a path of darkness.
Not even a Miles hater, but Miles wasn't good. He has no story arc. He's a cool kid before he meets Peter and he's a cool kid after he meets Peter. Peter has almost no impact on his thoughts throughout the game. Honestly the bait and switch with the spider just made me want MJ to get bit.
>No memorable lines
Thats a lie
>"EVERYTHING YOU HAVE IS BUILT ON LIES!"
>"I dont know what to do" "Yes, you do...."
>"You got it! You got my joke! I'm so happy I could stop fighting"
Etc. You can stop being a contrarian asshole and make a valid criticism like the shit DLC story
>Ock was set up as a father figure for Peter which why it hurts so much that Ock went a path of darkness.
But it doesn't, really. I know he's gonna be fucking Doc Ock because he's fucking Doc Ock - it takes any investment I have in liking their relationship and makes it feel manipulative.
>"EVERYTHING YOU HAVE IS BUILT ON LIES!"
How the fuck is this a memorable line? This could be in basically any piece of fiction and be just as applicable.
>"I dont know what to do" "Yes, you do...."
I don't even remember this but again, it's completely nonspecific to Spider-Man and might as well be placeholder first draft dialogue.
>"You got it! You got my joke! I'm so happy I could stop fighting"
This is one that I actually did remember this and really enjoyed. I remember laughing when Peter just lands and says "Yo Adrian, it's me, Spider-Man."
didnt care for mister negative but not really saying it was poorly done. i just dont care for that character.
doc ock was fun and interesting though i wish he turned evil sooner in the game.
if anything though, I cant wait for harry osborn venom.
It's the delivery
ITS ONE OF THE MOST EMOTIONAL SCENES OF THE GAME YOU SHITPOSTING DUMBASS
Oh look, you actually remembered one. Congrats, you're not a goldfish
>It's the delivery
Like I said. Not the writing. The voice acting was overall pretty good.
>ITS ONE OF THE MOST EMOTIONAL SCENES OF THE GAME YOU SHITPOSTING DUMBASS
Oh was this when May died? Eh, it was alright.
>Oh look, you actually remembered one. Congrats, you're not a goldfish
Sorry I have higher standards for dialogue than Christos fucking Gage
>Despite their gameplay being ass
look at this retard
>"YOU KNEW?!"
And he was absolutely right about everything from the very start
The game was amazing and as a longtime Spidey fan I actually feel bad for liking the game version of some characters more than the classic 616 versions, but the game just did them so well I can't help it. Ock was 10/10 and my favorite villain in the game, watching him descent into madness and slowly but surely become a villain right in front of Pete's eyes was really great and well done. The final fight was more emotional than I expected from some capeshit video game, but they really nailed it. Best Spider-Man video game I've ever played, and I've played almost all of them.
I want to see how they'd treat old Sergei in the inevitable sequel.
>why are the DLC stories so bad
Because Hammerhead isn’t really a great villain, he was good in Spectacular Spider-Man, but he’s certainly not at the top of any lists, that and the game totally replaced Silvermane with him. For me the DLC failed at giving us any worth while villains, however, the stories being told were great watching Yuri get corrupted and seeing this universes version of Black Cat, however, I was very disappointed that Sable had such a big role in Silver Lining after already having a huge role the main story
They made miles way too ugly in the game
>Just as good as the animated version
Nah. Into the Spider-Verse Miles is leagues ahead of game Miles.
At least Rio was still a milf
One of the better Spider adaptations in general, it's super entertaining and the story is good and Spider-Man-y. And the game is really fun to play, you get the sense of being Spider-Man. I don't have high expectations for video game adaptations of anything, but I think they did about as well as they could have.
Everyone looked ugly in the game, but Miles was super offensive b/c his character model looks like he's 35 in some shots. But like again, even Peter looked dumb and ugly
All pretty good minus the aunt may stuff, wish she was just dead at the beginning of the game.
well thats just how black people look in real life
All the Miles shit felt tacked on(as expected) and ruined the pacing of the game, also MJ was a cunt throughout the entire story
It's been compared to the Arkham games, with good reason. However, the last 3rd of the game gave me so much nostalgia to the first Infamous game.
>Plague outbreak
>Quarantined metropolis
>Criminals have overrun the city
>Absolute apocalypse situation with citizens sleeping in tent cities and supplies running low
>Superpowered freaks running around
>Conspiracies and secrets being unveiled as you progress
>One hero has to clean up the mess with the help from his human friends
God damn did I love Infamous. Wished there was more tie-in comics or a full blown graphic novel since its obviously a source of inspiration based on the cinematics.
Or even a fucking remastered edition. You'd think they'd have done it by now.
Miles was the worst part of the game. It made no sense that Peter took such an interest in him just because his Dad died. I'm sure Spider-Man has seen a lot of cops die but he didn't go and befriend their kids.
It's because he wants to fuck his mom and he knows the first step involves getting Miles out of the house as often as possible.
the game reminded me that yuri lowenthal is a good voice actor and people who don't like him have only heard his work in weeb shit.
Normally when I here Yuri I only hear the hundreds of roles he played. Just shows he did a top notch spider man. The whole voice cast was great in my opinion
based
>the audible heart break and frustration in both that scene and May's death bed.
Yuri is top tier when he has his head in the game.
>"YOU JEW?!"
Jesus, Gage. Next time Raimi offers to ghost-write, just turn him down.
It was okay, story, writing and character wise. Only okay, I wouldn't even say "good." Spider-Man has like no quips in-story, just automated ones during combat + phone calls. Overall everyone is just way too serious from start to finish. It feels way too trapped in the shadow of Raimi, with the orchestral soundtrack and realism.
The best part of the game's writing was definitely the JJJ podcast. It's like, it's okay to have fun once in while!
IMO Spider-Man as a brand works way better when it's heavily stylized, something ITSV got right obviously. More cel-shading like would have been fantastic. This ultra-realistic Spider-Man just feels too generic and isn't memorable at all. Like it's only been 6 months and already this game has been largely forgotten by anyone but hardcore fans of Spidey. It just didn't do enough to stand out from the rest of the by-the-numbers AAA games release that season. Like in 10-20 years, someone else is going to try to tackle the "Raimi-ish video game reboot of Spider-Man on modern hardware" angle, and it will be pretty much the same result: A forgettable video game.
I hope the sequel goes more hog-wild with the symbiotic stuff, it's an opportunity to really give the game some personality that it sorely lacks.
The one thing this game gets extremely right and deserves credit for: the swingin'. I spent something like 30-40 hours on the game completely ignoring the main story just so I could fuck around and swing. Spider-Man's movement around the city is almost perfectly tuned (tho there's weird collision issues with wall-crawling depending on which building you decide to crawl up). The rest of the gameplay is so-so, button mashy combat, forced stealth sequences and minigames, nothing too engaging. But hot diggity damn it felt good to swing, and games are generally in a good place where the core movement itself is really fun. It turns mundane tasks into fun spatial challenges.
>it's not on Xbox cause nips hate money.
>nips
Nigga what in the actual fuck?
I cant even believe doctor octavius was voiced by rigby from regular show.
it actually irked me that the cops were like "YEA WE ARE EXPANDING OUR SURVEILLANCE STATE SO THAT WE CAN CONSTANTLY WATCH EVERYONE AT ALL TIMES AND KNOW CRIMES AS THEY HAPPEN" and Spidey is just "hrm, sounds great, let me help you repair and install your big Big Brother watch towers!" Like the whole game is treating this like a good thing.
I'm so glad the game at least had infowars JJJ to call him the hell out. JJJ unironically spent the whole game being right about everything.
Best suit
>Yeah, why are the DLC stories so bad?
Because it is almost by definition an afterthought
Comics Spidey is way more woke
>they did good for MJ
I thought people hated how they handled MJ? I haven't had a chance to play it yet, but the general impression I see is that they completely got rid of her "fun loving" characterization for a Lois Lane clone
Adaptations are able to take a bad thing with some good ideas and improve on it. Your argument is terrible.
>you get the sense of being Spider-Man.
Which review site do you work for?
>tfw when you realize the the plot of the game was all a heavily remixed and bad end version of the Sinister Six and Master Planner arc from the Ditko era ASM
It's not that shocking. Those two stories inevitably show up in literally every Spidey adaptation.
I was still happy about it and especially that it was retold so well.
>Like it's only been 6 months and already this game has been largely forgotten by anyone but hardcore fans of Spidey.
Isn't that what happens with most games though? I don't see much people talking about Red Dead Redemption 2 or Super Smash Bros Ultimate anymore neither.
no its not, miles has an old person face its really weird
It's also not really "forgotten" if Sony is moving full speed ahead with a sequel due to the wheelbarrows of cash it brought in
JJJ was absolutely based and made perfect sense most of the time. His segments during the Devil's Breath outbreak were great.
>tells civilians to stay in Manhattan instead of trying to break free since a quarantine is the best way to keep the plague away
>tells everyone to do their part in order to help whoever they can, because the only way to keep through this is by working together
>shits on Silver Sable and Osborn multiple times
>actually congratulates Spider-Man after he defeats Otto and saves the day
They did a great job at portraying JJJ as a competent reporter who lets his hate boner for Spider-Man get in the way several times
>Gameplay, especially swinging, is great, seriously outdid themselves
>I wish crawling had been implemented more somehow, but I'm not sure how they'd do it
>Combat is a much improved version of Batman's beat 'em up style, again, very good
Now here are my issues:
>Characters are bland, Peter feels like a Mormon, MJ is nothing like MJ, Miles is dull and too nerdy, not cool enough
>Too many sequences where I don't get to play as Spider-Man, killing the momentum of the story
>The sequences where I play as Miles and MJ are boring asf
I just want to elaborate a bit, Peter never felt like he was struggling in the story. Sure, he lost his apartment, but he found a place to sleep within minutes. MJ also should have been more like her character in the comics. There is nothing shameful about being an ultra-good-looking super model. Just because she's hot and feminine doesn't mean she's lacking any character.
I've read all of the Miles' Ultimate Spider-Man, and I have to say it felt like they really castrated that character. I don't want Miles to be a thug life kid, but Into the Spider-Verse nailed that character perfectly.
Every supporting character was kinda boring. Idk what it was exactly. The only adjective I can think of to describe them is "Mormon". Every character, especially Peter felt like a drab piece of cardboard.
Still, I'd love to point out how fun the actual gameplay is, because they nailed it on that front.
This is the wrongest post I've seen in awhile.
Oh yeah, and JJJ was perfect. I wish I had spent more time swinging around listening to him.
I liked the actress and character Yuri, but felt it was a bit weird how Spider-Man flat out asks her permission to do his superhero thing at points in the story where it seemed obvious for him to do so. The most heinous time this occurs is in the first mission at Fisk Tower when the police are literally entering a warzone and Spider-Man wastes precious seconds so he can get the police's permission to jump in and do something. I know it was because he didn't want to sabotage the investigation, but idk, felt fucky.
The transition between playing as Spider-Man to playing as MJ or Miles or even Peter were so stark it was painful. One moment I'm swinging across the city experiencing some of the most thrilling gameplay ever, the next I'm slowly walking around a museum, taking photos of art pieces as a character I could not give less of a shit about. Like, at least make her hot. I know how that sounds, but I don't care.
Great:
Combat
Suits/Collectibles
DLC
Good:
Story
Controls
Side missions
Okay:
Music
Chasing segments
Bad:
Peter and Miles look uncanny compared to the other characters
I want a spiderverse miles game now
they did good
this was a solid foundational game for the inevitable sequels and I have 100% trust in Insomniac
They did absolutely terribly
Every character except May is utterly wrong.
>Tfw we never got an Into the Spider-Verse Movie Game
>No sections where we can play as All the Spider People
>No Running from Prowler section
>No Doc Ock Boss fight with Gwen
>No Scorpion Boss fight as Ham
>No Green Goblin fight with Ultimate peter
>Tfw we never got an Into the Spider-Verse Movie Game
You could always play the video game that inspired the comic that inspired the movie
>what you really like is actually just Dan Slott's run on Spider-Man.
You fucking moron.
How come this game makes Yea Forums furious?
I have and honestly need to find a copy of it for myself.
Noir's section will always be my favorite
>I don't see much people talking about Super Smash Bros Ultimate
m8
at any given time there are at least 10 Smash threads up on Yea Forums
Does any game not? Yea Forums is nothing but reactionary teenagers getting mad at some SJW conspiracy.
Oh I see the problem, your gauge for popularity is Yea Forums. Also, it makes sense that multiplayer/competitive game would "stick around" longer than a narrative single player game. Once you beat Spider-Man you're pretty much done.
What? The gameplay is the best any Spider-man game has been ever. Sure, it lacks some of the more detailed aspects to the webbing that the Spider-man 2 game had, but that was just little things like wrapping around objects. Everything from the speed and momentum is there as it should be.
106058559
You're a fucking idiot who doesn't know what he's saying.
Probably a problem with motion capture for young characters.
The last third really reminded me of Arkham City.
Because its exclusive to playstation. It's funny how the biggest most popular name in video game systems is niche on the video game board.
Also a few things like super jump should've been there from the beginning.
Yea Forums is largely retarded.
>Games has "ugly" characters
>"Reeeeeee! Fucking trannies!"
>Game has toy-inspired aesthetic
>"GODDAMN UNINSPIRED LAZY CASH-IN! THEY PROBABLY MADE THIS IN 2 WEEKS!"
It's pretty great, Websliinging got automated, so its inferior to the old S2 game. Also they made go from being the most iconic gf in comics to a fuck ugly biach, but w/e
Other then those two things the game's great.
That doesn't look like an old person at all.
fucking tourist, Yea Forums for the most part loved the game. Though MJ looked like a horse
>tourist
Retard, I've been there for ages. And plenty of people still shit on the game for the most idiotic of reasons.
Original poster of that wall of text here, that guy you just responded to wasn't me, I don't go by Yea Forums popularity, just games that people are still playing/talking about in general.
and I disagree, single-player games of good enough quality still have lasting impact. Like, say, BOTW and Hollow Knight seems to have never left to me, the games stay in the (gaming) news and still get social media buzz. (And I've never even played either.) Meanwhile Spider-Man PS4 seems to have came and went in the matter of a month. It's not a terribly memorable game. Don't get me wrong it did some things very right that are commendable, but it definitely a by-the-numbers bid budget game release designed to be consumed and forgotten in a short amount of time.
My argument was that they could have went for something more stylized and unique to really have left their mark on the history of the Spider-Man brand, in much the same way ITSV did, instead of making another forgettable game.
>Though MJ looked like a horse
As has been pointed out in this thread, a number of characters looked really weird. I think it might have been an issue with the engine. The sequel will probably be next gen, so hopefully it will be much better.
But it isn't automated, you still have to hold or release the button to keep your web going or fall back down to the ground, and do everything else like jump or zip. Only thing that's really automated is running over objects, but so what?
>really have left their mark on the history of the Spider-Man brand, in much the same way ITSV did
Ironic given that ITSV was way less successful/well reviewed. Outside of places like Yea Forums, you'd have a really hard time finding people who remember that game.
marketing is OP man, the game's industry is just really good at getting a bunch of people to turn up and spend sixty entire dollars (plus DLC!) on a video game the very day it releases. I did too, because it just so happened to come out on my birthday. Wasn't a bad time! But yea, SM PS4 was a fabulous success and ITSV just did okay.
That said, the comparison isn't all that fair. Video games are the single most profitable entertainment industry and it's not even close. Like, GTAV is the single best-selling product of all time.
fucking hell I'm sorry I put the thread title in the wrong field, no go away, FUCK
Could have been the engine. I felt they made her ugly on purpose though. I had a friend walk in the room while I was playing.
>mj currently on screen
>friend, "who's that girl"
>"it's suppose to be Mary Jane"
>"Is something wrong with her?"
>i lel
They tried to make her intelligent and independent but they made her a bitch instead.
There are a ton of male writers who only know how to write two women: "super hot love interest" and "bitchy/naggy mother figure"
It would have been a lot better if they didn't reveal Mister Negative's identity until the last moment
How would they have done that though? No one else has taken on that moniker, so it'd be kind of hard to hide him being Martin Li.
Have two new characters.
Make a scummy one who you'd think would definitely be a bad guy for the normies to be mind blown
That just seems like a very cheap bait and switch tactic.
It's essentially the same thing they did with Doc Ock
>make a game about Spider-Man
>force the player to play as MJ
what the fuck? Why is this allowed?
Not really. They didn't try to make it seem like Doc wouldn't turn evil, just that his descent into villainy was more complex compared to a lot of other incarnations where he just snaps for very little reason or solely because of his ego.
Doc was definitely the highlight of the game for me. The guy who plays him knocks it out of the park. I also really thought Peter and Aunt May were really well handled.
The best part of the game though is the webslinging. The combat is ok, but the movement options are really what helps keep player interest.
My only problem with MJ was the fact they gave her zero ass. Paddy McDoyle was clearly making some of these models.
That was the best Otto in so many years. Norman was good, too, though obviously we'll get more with him in the next game. Even the rest of the Sinister Six were entertaining, if a bit underused.
Their portrayal of Mysterio was complete and utter bullshit. They turned him into a fucking joke and robbed us of what could have been a creative boss fight. I am so fucking sick of this "classic spidey villains are jokes because they aren't edgy and dressed in black" meme. Fucking Insomniac.
Uh... that wasn't really Mysterio.
Wait, do you think that was Insomniac's interpretation of Mysterio? It literally took place at a costume party
Then who is ths?
Weird. I wonder if they could hire someone to do the same thing for Martin Li.
Literally some random person at a Halloween party. Mysterio will probably show up in the sequel.
There's a chance, but will he look something like classic Mysterio or a boring power armor guy? That's what has me worried.
Most that could probably have been done would be Li brainwashing one of his men to act in his stead, but then that would remove any point in his "business trip" and letting May have run of FEAST.
The armors for the Six weren't all that bad, and it made sense since Doc was the one who upgraded their original gear. The real importance for Mysterio is that his fight is surreal as hell and plays to his trickster/illusionist ways.
>read a comic about spider-man
>one or two pages focus on MJ
What the Fuck!? Why is this allowed!?
Not quite the same thing. In a game, you normally expect to play as the main character from start to end, whereas reading material you don't really have that kind of guarantee. Still, I never was too bothered with the MJ and Miles sections since they were short, and very easy for the most part.
That’s the point, it’s storytelling, rather than just show us a cut scene of Miles running away from Rhino or MJ being held hostage, we got to play as them through scenes that weren’t even five minutes long. I do agree about how storylines are usually played out during games, but I really liked that with this spider-man game they treated the story the same way a comic would have, plenty of spider action broken up by short pages of Peter, MJ, Miles and the rest of the cast. The complaints against these scenes is hilarious to me because it’s these are scenes that are over before you can even form a proper complaint to put into words.
desu, my complaint about these scenes is how easy they were. They put zero effort into trying to make them fun or challenging in any way.
What's the master planner arc?
The Bar With No Name was a HUGE letdown. Maggia goons fagging up the place? Where's White Rabbit, Boomerang, Big Wheel, The Spot?
That wasn’t the Maggia, that was Yuri in full on Wrath mode before she got her costume and theme
What the fuck are you talking about? The entire fucking point of that location is seeing villains drinking. It was a great chance to have cameo C-D listers show up, and they wasted that by having italian assholes run the place. Nobody said anything about Yuri's autistic rampage
Ah, I read “fagging” as “fragging” as in frag-grenades. That was my bad. Yeah, it would have been nice to throw in a few character models there for villains that we might see in the future, or at least have them mentioned. It was a real let down, you’re right.
>The real importance for Mysterio is that his fight is surreal as hell and plays to his trickster/illusionist ways.
It's possible they just rip off the Scarecrow levels fro Arkham
Do that and mix it with the Scorpion scenes in the game. Honestly they should have replaced Scorpion with Mysterio.
But, imagine fighting a Mysterio who is large enough to walk between the sky scrapers of NYC, having to web swing up to the fishbowl to shatter through it. I fucking want this so badly.
>However, the last 3rd of the game gave me so much nostalgia to the first Infamous game.
My favorite part about the last 3rd is that it actually feels the same quality as the other 2/3. Not a lot of games can do that.
That suit, Vintage Comic suit, Big Time suit, and both 2099 suits are my favorite to swing around in.
Scarlet Spider, MKI spider Armor and the Spiderverse suit do it for me. I'm a sucker for the more defined abs he gets in the spiderverse suit.
I don't think Miles was never cool, save for maybe the Spiderverse version. This version is the best for me because its like Peter got himself a little spider brother. I can agree with MJ but aside from the stupid shit she says and does occasionally she not to unbearable.
Also Peters struggles a lot in this, and is constantly being fucked over for doing the right thing or what he assumes is the right thing, so he gets a pass n that regard.
I have to wonder if this person even played the game, given that the game makes it painfully obvious it's not the real Mysterio in that Halloween party.
Unless you also thought the guy in the fake Lizard suit was the real Lizard?
Could have just been bait, though usually baiters try to fish for more (You)s by doubling down on their ignorance somehow.
>I don't want Miles to be a thug life kid, but Into the Spider-Verse nailed that character perfectly.
To be fair, Spider-Verse had to make up several elements about Miles' character in order for him to work.
Between the Scorpion mission where Peter is drugged and the first fight against Mister Negative, I feel like they could make the best Mysterio fight we've seen in a game if they don't screw things up.
Though the entire time I did that Scorpion mission, I did find myself thinking "Why didn't they just put Mysterio in this game to begin with?"
Maybe tied down from Marvel since he is supposed to appear in Homecoming?
my nigga over here
Quick question; Is Insomniac Games now 100% owned by Sony? I thought I remember seeing a news story about that last year.
You probably know it as this story
>it would have been nice to throw in a few character models there for villains that we might see in the future
The reason they don't do this is probably because they haven't decided what those character designs will be yet, and don't want to lock themselves in
No
>Despite being Sony's frequent collaborator and having been previously located in the same building as Naughty Dog, Insomniac has never been part of the SIE Worldwide Studios.
They've made some non-Sony games fairly recently
The stealth sections with Miles made me like Miles less.
You have to think back to all the times in superhero comics where the hero actually gets in the way of a complex plan, Pete's been active for 10 years so I imagine theres been a lot of times where he's probably harmed an ongoing investigation by charging in head first, but I see what you're saying I don't think Spider-man would have risked lives like that
It would be easy to say that the reason why the costumes changed between games is because the Sinister Six and their new duds inspired the costumes criminal community to upgrade their own gear as well
