Oh boy, looks like the adventure's about to begin! Any predictions?
Stand Still Stay Silent Thread
Onni flashback is gonna be horrific and justifies onni crying all the time, according to tuuri.
Onni needs hugs.
>inb4 Kade fuckery
I'm looking forward to seeing what the Kade looks like, if it actually exists.
We see it on the cover and the first story pages of the arc. Though it's fully cloaked and only its red eye is visible.
I do not want to see what's under the cloak.
Huh, I never even saw that and it's right in the center.
IF that's it
I think it's a safe bet, obviously, but there could always be twists. Figuring on it being granny Hotakainen
>Onni has to kill his own grandmother.
The suffering train never ends and I love it.
>implying there's anything "alive" left to kill
A kade is probably #1 worst case scenario for this world. Even the ghosts had their limitations. This thing is presumably unbothered by sunlight and can use magic of its own
Hell, it doesn't even need to recite spells to do magic. It only takes a single glance for it to kill.
Source?
First story page of the second Adventure.
And general lore behind kades and their "evil eye."
Question I've had looking at this page a bunch of times
Is it supposed to be walking through the forest or is it "sprouting" from the ground there and then fading away again?
I think it's walking.
Sleep infected, troll
too bad he won't get any
Trigger warning
No Greenland?
Guess not. The good news is it's just a fan map.
Now kiss
The author stated that Islandic ship have scouted the Greenland coast. They noped out due to polar bear beasts. They're big, fast, and tough. Also they swim.
>predictions
They won't be ablet o get through to him most likely because he will create some sort of a magical barrier.
>polar bear beasts
o fug
I guess I would have thought it isolated enough to be safe but if infected bears swam there then yeah shit's probably fucked
Why aren't they fucking
I would bet more on the azores, really.
Considering growing fruit in greenhouses and shit. I'm surprised they didn't mount a military expidition to cleanse a more southern island for farming. Its logical, not to knock Minna too hard, but it should be a thing.
don't post that shit ever again,
I was a retard and it was a wip anyway
And I'm still a retard who can't let go of the idea, so don't reignite my autism
This. We're finally gonna see what the fuck went down in Saimaa 11 years ago and it's going to be horrible.
>Newfoundland so close to mainland all safe
Hahahhahaaaa yeah no
Wonder what their kids will look like.
>Mikkel's size with Sigrun's attitude
ABsolute MAYHEM
Pure chaos is what they'll be.
>Saimaa
Please Minna use Olavinlinna in your story it would be so cool
Reliable transport might be an issue, and greenhouses are very efficient. The problem is lack of soil but they probably solves that by now.
Genuine Viking Genghis Khan
Cleansing takes a lot of resources and effort and also time
They had those famines in the early years but by now they seem able to feed their populations so there’s not a significant pressure for more farmland
The Swedes would be more interested in reclaiming their old mainland territory instead of new islands. It connects to their other land for easier defense not only for newly cleansed areas, but extra secured space between the high population territories and silent world borders
Wouldn't lack of trees over a huge area be a problem? Or do they plant them back in the reclaimed territory only leaving the areas bordering silent world bare?
Something something sea beasts making long sea travel next to impossible, but we all know it´s just because minna wants to focus her story on a specific setting.
I was thinking more on the lines that the azores is a place were there likely would be survivors. Only practical transport is by air to two different islands, which are small enough to be contained and reclaimed easily.
>Finnish backwoods niggas holed up in ancient fortifications
they've already pointed out how those danish forts are excellent places to stick around in (provided they're not haunted), surely the finns would know the use of that
The infographic says that in time forest will grow back (if that's what the area is like). Iceland has no forests for example so you wouldn't have that popping up. But they do consider the erosion by defoliation; in the pages talking about the hunger they mention that simply herding more sheep isn't viable because if they consumed all the grassland it would lead to soil loss and other ecological issues
So they don't seem to do much in the way of actively replanting anything but crops, and let the natural plant and animal life return. They also build fences, maintain burn scars they keep continuously barren, and post sentries to watch for new trolls wandering in from outside
Emil said Mora hadn't had an outbreak in decades, so building up layers of cleansed land seems to be pretty effective until the moment you step out from patrolled areas like taking a train ride
