The internet has become nearly completely normie/jewified it will never be as good as it was when only fringe nerds knew how to use it and made it great. It has been going downhill for decades and its decline is only increasing in momentum.

>Is internet culture dead?
The internet culture as you knew it, save for some scattered walled gardens. There is a new internet now, and the invention of the smartphone killed the old one.
:wojakWithered:
I miss it all so much

good question
any clue what board is responsible for that one?
It's not all bad.
Not always that bad or dead, just that they ran out of idea, user.
Do you think the internet could become fun again? Governments could pass laws to break up tech companies/undo the internet ad info harvesting economy (extremely unlikely).
The culture could be good again somehow. We could have a sort of meme golden age, a culture shift against social media like what happened to cigarettes, or maybe it'll fun to be a metaslave.
I'm personally hoping for some sort of "Internet 2." Not another internet so to say, but some kind of technology which makes the current internet obsolete. Once this "Internet 2" becomes the norm, the current internet will basically be a wasteland. Advertisers may leave and user counts will dwindle. Then we, the meek, shall inherit the ashes. What if metaverse manages to make normies completely, dystopian leveles of addicted to vr-based social media. I suspect, however, that if this unlikely event were to happen within my lifetime, then the big new thing would kill anything even close to an imageboard. Kind of like how nobody uses forums anymore.
Oh well. The world is dying, anyways.
a lot of that is done by bots, i think.
i dont think that a meme pixel board game is the right place to gauge the state of the internet.
exactly what I was thinking, since when was a reddit pixel game the forefront of internet culture lol
Yea Forums
we are currently working on turning some streamer fag into yotsuba
