The more I hear about the Packers drama, the more I side with McCarthy (other than him missing team meetings so he could get a hj in his office).

if anything, I think the blame lies mostly on Ted Thompson for being a senile fuck who didn't sign any free agents for like a decade. The internal friction was obviously bad, but if the teams were still decently talented I feel like things wouldn't have gotten to this point.

I've heard good things about Perez from people who kept watching AAF after week 4.

Yo you should 10000% invest in a tankless water heater. It's absolutely the best purchase I made for my home. You're going to need a dedicated electrical 240v outlet for it but that's pretty much it

How does it work? And please explain using only football terms

My favorite is Old Bay's autobiography

The Giants will make the playoffs this season ... if they trade for Russell Wilson.

Do it, Dave Gettleman.

Call the Seattle Seahawks and offer your two first-round picks for Wilson.

Make John Schneider say no.

Attached: cgLZeCfc.jpg (680x680, 142K)

>trade for Russell Wilson
Just draft Kyler. He's cheap and young.

Basically it heats up the water as it passes through the heater. It's on-demand heated water.

In football terms uh, it's like, fuck idk

Russell Wilson and his agent, Mark Rodgers, know what the Seahawks know: to keep him in Seattle, the team that drafted Wilson in 2012 will need to give him the NFL’s richest contract for 2020 and beyond.

The 30-year-old Wilson is the winningest quarterback in NFL history over the first seven years of a career.

Looking for a starting estimate on what Wilson’s agent is likely asking for in average salary for a multiyear extension? Start with $34,325,000. That’s the average of what Wilson would get with the alternative of signing nothing and getting consecutive franchise tags.

That’s the route Kirk Cousins took with Washington a few years ago... Last year he signed the first fully guaranteed multiyear contract in NFL history, for $84 million, with Minnesota.

Last year Matt Ryan got a record $94.5 million guaranteed at signing in an extension with Atlanta. Ryan, 33, got another $5.5 million guaranteed from the Falcons last month, from a contract clause adding to his pay for 2021. So that’s $100 million guaranteed within the first year of signing for Ryan in Atlanta.

Wilson is three years younger than Ryan, who has yet to win a Super Bowl.

Then Aaron Rodgers, 35, re-set the market with his four-year deal last summer to remain with Green Bay. It averages $33.5 million per year, with $98.2 million guaranteed. Of that, $78.7 million of Rodgers’ money was guaranteed at signing,Rodgers’ other $19.5 million became guaranteed this spring, applied to his 2020 pay. So that’s $98.2 million guaranteed within the first year for Rodgers.

Wilson is five years younger than Rodgers, with as many Super Bowl rings.

The trick Seattle is trying to pull off? Fitting $34 million-plus per year and at least $100 million guaranteed for Wilson, perhaps all up front, into the team’s overall financial plan for 2020 and beyond.

I know it’s a fun meme to say Peyton was wasted on the colts, but they still won a super bowl and went to another. Truly wasting a generational talent means failing to win a championship with them.

This. The nanners wasted Smeth. The Colts are wasting Luck. Peyton was fine.

>Smeth
>generational talent
holy kek

I stand by it. Smeth would have developed into elite level talent if he was in a good system from the start. People forget that Brady was a game manager when he started his career.

twitter.com/NYGDaily/status/1113972183875899394
There is no GM worse than Dave Gettleman

They need a real GRINDER, like that Andre Dillard kid

brady wasn't a generational talent, he got to where he is through hard work and insane competitive drive. smeth was just an overrated, overdrafted mid level QB from a small school

Mahomes has shit footwork and uses nothing but arm strength to launch a ball. This is going to be his Achilles heel as he gives up games late because his arm is exhausted and he can't get the velocity on it. As he gets older it will only cement his legacy as a regular season demigod and the Chiefs will have to fire Reid and get a defensive guru to try and win a superbowl with Mahomes.

Christian Wilkins

With the twenty sixth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select:

DT Christian Wilkins, Clemson University

The Oakland Raiders are now on the clock

Smith used to have an ARM and a good deep ball until he broke his shoulder playing behind the worst O Line in football. He's also way more athletic than Tom Brady ever was. The Niners were so bad when smith was drafted they had the worst WRs, OL, and RBs. It was pathetic. Arnaz Battle do you remember him? Or how about fuck I can't even think of their RBs name but he was ass too.

Garrison Hearst was a beast.

It wasn't Garrison Hearst. He was done around the time marriucci left.

Smith was athletically gifted, that's true. It's also true that he was in a terrible situation. He still wasn't a "generational talent". Would you actually argue he was the best QB prospect in his time?

>Luck
>generational talent
I say this as a colts fan. He is a very good quarterback but the people who were hyping him to be as good as Peyton or Elway were beyond deluded.

lol dude just because you ruined him with Ryan Grigson putting out the worst rosters in football for years and years doesn't mean he didn't have the potential to be a HoFer. sour grapes right here

He was definitely better than Rodgers going into the draft

Another GRINDER, this time it's Byron Murphy

Yeah, I just looked it up. Kevin Barlow. Thank God for Gore the next year.

With the twenty seventh overall pick, the Oakland Raiders select:

CB Byron Murphy, University of Washington

The Los Angeles Chargers are now on the clock

At the time of the draft? He was absolutely better then Rodgers. Don't forget Rodgers got to ride a bench for a few years and got in to fights with Favre in the QB room.

I don't mean just in his draft, I mean in his generation. If you take a ten/fifteen year slice of all the QBs drafted contemporary to him, would you really say he was the best prospect of the bunch?

It was Kevan Barlow lmao remember that chucklefuck?
It was him and Rodgers and the consensus around the league was that smith was the more athletic of the two and he was younger and had graduated college early with a degree in economics. Nobody was that surprised when he went number one overall the only thing A Rod had tying him to the pick was that he grew up near San Francisco. He got lucky he wasn't picked by SF he would have been broken like Smith.

>NFL tells teams to not contact AAF players
>They still sign some anyways
Will there be fines?

They need a replacement for that old man at QB...

DREW LOCK

No idea I'm not a lawyer, my guess is that there is some type of language in league by laws that makes these teams think they can argue their case. Or they don't care and think the player is worth the fine.

So Tyrann wasn't an upgrade?

my Broncos already stole him

And you're not listening to what people are saying. If Alex Smith was given a fair chance to develop the same way Rodgers has its very possible Smith would have multiple owls.

You're not listening to me, though. I'm not even talking about Rodgers, I'm addressing the idea that Smith was a generational talent/prospect at QB. He wasn't. Everything you've said can be true as well as him not being generational.

I only see Gregg Jennings talking shit about him.

Who is the gayest athlete, Aaron Rodgers or Finn Balor?

Yes. He was. Then he had to get shoulder surgery, and was ruined during his early years. And he never lived up to his promise.

(You)

Aaron Rodgers
Tom Brady
Drew Brees

These are the top 3 qbs drafted in the 2000s. The argument is that Alex Smith could have developed into something on par with Aaron Rodgers since they were taken in the same class. This would make Smith a generational talent. The guy put up some incredibly efficient seasons even with a throwing arm with multiple surgeries on it. The fact that he stuck around as long as he did and made it out of the situation he was drafted into is impressive. Most people are out of the league two or three seasons into that mess. Niners squandered him.

I don’t pretend for a second that Grigson didn’t do Luck a disservice by putting together patchwork o-lines and teams, or that lava I was anything but a retard. That doesn’t mean Luck is a generational talent.
Luck had the chance to have an 8/10 career and will have a 5-6 instead because of Grigson actively doing his best to impede him, I agree. But he had the chance at an 8/10, not 10/10.

In terms of prospects you can throw Matt Stafford in there too. He should have been elite, but the Lions are garbage.

t. aaron rodgers

ah yes, the legacy of Aaron Rodgers, the most talented QB in the NFL. "he broke even in the playoffs"

Smeth would have won at least 3 owls in Green Bay.

When is the last time a #1 overall QB was actually good? Will Baker be the first in ten years?

2009 - Stafford - overrated though not quite a bust
2010 - Bradford - bust
2011 - Newton - overrated, slightly above average but not worthy of a #1 pick
2012 - Luck - same as Newton
2015 - Winston - bust
2016 - Goff - overrated, system babby
2018 - Mayfield - ???

>Cam and Luck aren't actually good
when will brainlets learn that falling short of astronomical hype =/= terrible QB

Rivers would have won at least 0 owls in Green Bay

I said they’re slightly above average. Still not worthy of a #1 pick.
Luck isn’t even the best QB from his class (Wilson). He might not even be the second best QB (Foles)

peyton manning.

Newton and Luck are good their teams are very bad. At least the panthers D has and identity but they were great like what 1 year?

>Foles being better than Luck
if you don't think Luck would have won an owl on that Philly team you are braindead. and your initial contention was "actually good", not "worth the first overall pick". i'd wager 90% of first overall picks are not the best player in their draft class.

Baker is too accurate of a passer to be a bust unless something stupid happens and he gets Teddy Bridgewater'd.

Eli won two Super Bowls and was more recent, so I think you could say him too

>Luck on garbage colts teams could muster 8-8 when he actually was healthy.

Colts record with a healthy Andrew Luck (16 games started):

2012: 11-5
2013: 11-5
2014: 11-5
2018: 10-6

You're the biggest bullshitter in this thread. Also
>actually comparing last year's Colts to the fucking Legion of Boom

Here's a list of QB's drafted with the first pick, the second pick, in the rest of the first round, and a selection of QBs picked outside the first round.

Attached: draft-qbs.png (2393x2664, 2.33M)

I said when he was on garbage teams. All of those teams were either stacked on offense (2012-2014 when he had motherfucking Reggie Wayne to throw to), or stacked in defense (2018).
2015: soft bitch, had a losing record for the games he did play. Colts finish 8-8.
2016: played 15 games. Went 8-7. Colts finish 8-8.
2017: sat out season because he’s a soft bitch.

maaaayyyybe one, but his peak was never where rodgers was in 2010. smeth would have been a mess dealing with mcarthy's bland as fuck offense

The "stacked" 2018 Colts allowed 21.5 points a game. The merely "good" 2013 Seahawks allowed 14.4 points a game. A literal touchdown difference in defensive quality and you have the balls to say that the two teams are comparable, my fucking sides.

While we're at it, let's look at the "stacked" 2012-014 Colts.

2012:
22.3 ppg on offense (18th in the league)
24.2 ppg on defense (21st in the league)

2013:
24.4 ppg on offense (14th in the league)
21.0 ppg on defense (9th in the league)

2014:
28.6 ppg on offense (6th in the league, due to Luck throwing 40 TDs)
23.1 ppg on defense (19th in the league)

Meanwhile, from 2012-2015 Wilson had the number one ranked defense EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Even in 2016 they were the 3rd best. When they fell to 13th in 2017, what does Wilson do? Oh that's right, he missed the playoffs. Sad.

Oh, and how could I forget the Seahawks team rankings in Wilson's "Super Bowl" years?

2013:
26.1 ppg on offense (8th in the league; attempted the 31st most passes in the league while attempted the 2nd most runs)
14.4 ppg on defense (1st in the league)

2014:
24.6 ppg (10th in the league; fewest passing attempts in the NFL, second most rushing attemots)
15.9 ppg (best in the league)

Based lad thanks for arguing my post for me with that retard.

Attached: 1552501452237.png (368x425, 249K)

>trying to argue that Luck is a better QB than wilson by showing that the Seahawks offense was superior to the colts offense
>when a QB is the position that determines if an offense is good or not

Wow, incredible how you pretended to look at my post but actually didn't, and then made this whopper of a reply. In 2013 the Seahawks attempted the second fewest passes in the NFL. Russell Wilson had barely 3300 yards, and in today's NFL that's nothing. Even taking away Wilson's rushes, they ran the ball more than they passed. He had basically nothing to do in that offense except hand it off, check it down, and not throw picks.

In 2013, Luck threw the ball 570 times, close to 200 more times than Wilson. The leading rusher in terms of carries on that team was Trent fucking Richardson. He carried that entire offense.

My arguement is that Smeth's potential peak was much higher than his actual peak due to how bad my nanners were. I maintain that we got more wins out of drafting Smeth that would have gotten if we drafted Rodgers.

You can say that Smeth could have peaked higher, which is true, but 2010-2014 Rodgers is like a top 3 QB stretch of all time. I seriously doubt he'd do anything close to that, let alone surpass it.

>Luck is a selfish ballhog to the detriment of his team
Yes yes and Carmelo Anthony is better than Lebron

>Carmelo Anthony is better than Lebron
Melo was unironically better than Lebron this season tho

You can type out all the buzzword talking points you like, but your original retarded idea that Luck and Wilson have had comparable team situations over their careers has already had more holes poked in it than your mother after Happy Hour. Just quit while you're only a little behind, m8.

Lol you've lost dude give it up. Your comparison doesnt even make sense. How is luck being selfish? He should have given it to 2.8 ypc Richardson more times? Like what the fuck are you even trying to say?

Clearly he should have thrown it more to some of these fine fellas.

The dolphins scored three points in superbowl 6, then the next season they went undefeated and won. You have no argument against this.

Dolphins didn't have to deal with Jared Goff at QB

Different era. Low scoring was quite common under those rules and there was no salary cap. You could mug receivers all down the field. This Rams situation is totally different. They're already a different team and on top of it memevay was exposed very thoroughly under the current rules 3 or less point games are quite rare and the pats D isn't even loaded with generational talent. You got styled on by Van Noy and you'll never live that down.

Neither do the rams

The NFL should improve parity by removing the salary cap for teams that finished last in the divison the year before.

Wasn't Todd Gurley hurt for the SB?

The NFL wants more high scoring games they should have a "make it take it" rule

I would be okay with this if it only happened after TDs not FGs.

Nothing was ever reported. Its Rasm cope. Even after the game nobody said anything about lingering soreness or anything. I kinda think he's just a choker they managed his snaps the end of the season and postseason quite well.

no if you score a field goal you still get it back but if you score a td on that drive you have to kick off

They sort of are starting that. They're giving each team the chance to have the ball at 4th and 15 once per game instead of a kickoff. So instead of doing an inside kick after you score you can do that.
It's because they changed the onside kick rules a few years ago, so now onside kicks are almost impossible to recover

>Don't be the problem

What did he mean by this?

if you compare things as vaguely as you do, you could make anything seem identical.

you have no argument.

>constantly neuter kickoffs.
>now it is functionally impossible to recover onside kicks.
>there are people who want kickoffs taken away completely.

fuck that, bring back kickoffs.
>"b-but muh player safety."
they knew what they were doing when they signed that six-figure minimum contract.

Based. Nigger I'm not paying you to stay healthy I'm paying you to kill other niggers

people who make terrible posts suck their own cocks, you only make terrible posts, therefore you suck your own cock. you have no argument against this.

>Be white supremacist
>Be retarded
You aren't paying them anything because you're a worthless NEET, and a good business tries to minimize injuries to their employees

Cringe but redpilled. I don't know why they changed the rules for how to line up on onside kicks. Who looked at the onside kick conversion rate and said, "that needs to be lower"?

Doink Doink cunt
The bears lost and will continue to lose for decades more to come you fucking cunt

Why is Devin White being projected so high. He's super athletic but he's basically as raw as a HS LB. He's fine when he has a straight line to something but asking him to angle properly, read plays, or shed blocks consistently gives him problems. He was basically a non-factor against Georgia and Alabama, yet he's somehow supposed to produce right away in the NFL?

combine + youth + upside

teams feel they need these super athletic ILBs because of how freakish TEs are getting, his stock is a good example of that

That's the thing though, he isn't that great in coverage. Devin Bush is considered to be the coverage LB and he's a mid first projection even though he has better instincts than White.

200 IQ draft pick

Look up the combined winning pct of the teams the Dolphins beat to go undefeated.
I don't think they faced a team with a winning record until the playoffs.

Muh sideline to sideline speed. They saw how sexy Roquan Smith's speed looked this year and want that, even though White is not close to as good.

Bush is definitely a better player at this point, but White is more projectable. His athleticism at his size is what is so tantalizing I’d imagine, people have also said he interviewed extremely well.

He is 6 foot even and under 240 lbs.
How are teams enthused over either?

And yet, that's nothing related with the Rams. Dolphins made it like 50 years ago?, Well ok, but that is not prove at all the Rams are going to make it next season. It's just a vague and unfounded comparison.

roquan isn't really comparable, he isn't an athletic freak and is much lighter
roquan is a true will linebacker, with the best instincts out of any linebacker entering the draft dare i say ever
