that's why I'm waiting for the 4080, I don't play enough games to even justify a GPU like that but it will last me a long time at least
I plan on doing open loop cooling with a vertical mount when I build a new computer to help avoid that issue
there really should be more liquid and hybrid cooled cards now that they've gotten so huge

ive never had proper water cooling but i want to eventually. i had a shitty thermaltake 5.25" pump radiator reservoir combo thing back in the day. im pretty sure it was worse than the air cooler it replaced

my 3070 has an led logo that's too bright
so put on like 15 layers of blue painters tape to block it out
both side panels are off the case and the front panel is cut in half
it's the cheapest case on amazon with no cable management and im not using modular power supply so it's a nest of cables too. looks ugly as fuck no one would ever steal :)

Expensive and ultimately shit. If you keep your nose to the underground you can still find some good doom mods, indie games, etc here and there but that doesn't need an expensive gaming PC at all. All the AAA games that require a new console or expensive PC have all been pretty shit with zero good MP to make the purchase of a game even worth it. I was a much bigger gamer when every shooter that came out would have a bustling MP scene for at least a year or two, now good MP shooters are practically dead.
