Denmark is pretty based. However, good luck getting in. Me and many friends personally think we won the lottery solely because we were born in Denmark.

I'm German and I'd suggest Denmark, Netherlands, Austria or Sweden. Haven't been to Finland or Norway. Switzerland is great but unaffordable. Scotland is also nice.

If I had to pick a city, I'd say Copenhagen or Utrecht, although I prefer the countryside. (In the Netherlands, anywhere is within 10 km from a city basically so you have none of the downsides from living in a rural area).

Germany is also a decent place to live in terms of jobs, infrastructure, work-life-balance, etc., but it has the most fucked up national-masochistic culture and despicably embarassing politicians, although I'll admit others are catching up on us

In case you haven't realised it yet: Western Europe is going downhill ... fast. Major economic crisis expected still this decade and we're probably looking at civil wars with the next 15 years in several Western-Europe countries, starting with fights in France.

Lots of clashing cultures living together, general population becoming more and more poor, gap between rich and poor is getting more massive by the day, governments deep in debt, every government at this moment focuses on short-term politics because they realise there is no point in long-term plans anymore.

Seriously, avoid Western Europe. Czech Rep. might still be reasonably safe, people there live fairly good as long as you stay in the city, Norway also but they are hesitant to take in new population. Bulgaria is also expected to profit from the decline of Western-Europe and is already looking for investors, we're looking at a boom there in about 8 years so going there now gives you first row tickets.

Other than that: Canada is still a good option. If you have money, Mexico and Chili are considered good havens as well for the future. South-Korea is also look at economic growth.

Strangely enough, several northern-African countries are expectes to rise in wealth as well within the next decades: Egypt first and foremost.

Best countries in Western Europe to live in, rated by percentages that I pulled out of my ass:

1. Switzerland - 92%
Pros: richest country on earth, awesome nature, high salaries, strict immigration rules (although this can be a con for some people)
Cons: people can be close minded and not open towards foreigners, extremely expensive

2. Luxembourg - 89%
Pros: nice nature, high salaries, strong economy. Relatively cheap petrol for European standards.
Cons: near Walon Belgium, the biggest turdhole in W-Europe. High house prices

3. Netherlands - 85%
Pros: liberal / libertarian attitude, people are honest and direct, everyone speaks English, very well developed, good healthcare and education system, legal weed.
Cons: crowded, high house prices, no nice nature, rains a lot, too many immigrants in large cities, hospitality staff can be very rude

4. Austria - 80%
Pros: awesome nature, strict immigration rules, people are quiet and keep everything tidy and neat.
Cons: people can be kind of conservative and close minded

5. Germany - 75%
Pros: can't think of many specific pros, but in general (western) Germany is a good place to live. Many nice cities, some nice nature
Cons in general: slow internet, everyone pays by cash instead of card, roadworks everywhere, too open immigration

6. UK - 74%
Pros: good economy, far from Russia and other troubles, people are good at queueing unlike most of Europe
Cons: house prices around London are insane. Bad weather.

Belgium, France and Italy: wouldn't recommend. Nice to visit, terrible to live in.
