Nick Cave is too big

Just tell me your favorite songs by him and his best sounding songs and I'll check them out.

O'Malley's Bar

the birthday party was better than his solo stuff

I'd recommend the stuff he did with Birthday Party before anything else. The best stuff is on the Mutiny/Bad Seed album (which is really just the band's final 2 eps) especially the 4 songs off the Bad Seed ep. Also check out the albums Prayers on Fire and Junkyard after that.

AND THE MERCY SEAT IS WAITING

Papa don't leave me Henry

I've hardly heard all his stuff but I really like No More Shall We Part, in particular Oh My Lord.

the good son (song)

Oh my Lord is great. Thanks

mercy seat
the weeping song / the ship song
do you love me
stagger lee
(are you) the one i've been waiting for
supernatural
i need you
those are all typical choices because i wouldn't really listen to a nick song without their full context, it's hard even picking 5

ITT people pretending that "Where the Wild Roses Grow" isn't Cave's greatest song just because it was popular back when.

Kylie Minogue?

Cabin Fever (and the rest of From Her to Eternity) is a good example of his earlier work which is pretty different from his later music and may be more your preference if you don't care for his later melancholic/melodic sound.

Mercy Seat and Red Right Hand are his only good songs. Yea Forums is lying to you.

for you

dig lazarus dig

Knockin on Joe

song of joy

The whole Good Son

listen to everything unironically
but start with Murder Ballads or Tender Pray

Just listen to let love in, tender prey, the first born dead ,murder ballads, push the sky away and skeleton tree

Fuck it just to everything

Boatman's Call doesn't do it for you?
