Atrocious Controllers, pic related i used to have.

what the fuck is that

a good controller :^)

I'm pretty sure I had the same one. I don't recall it having two dpads/analog sticks

Manlytears, step away from the controller

It took me a fair while to understand this is meant to be an N64 pad

this and the n64 and the dreamcast

Attached: 411yvOQXRvL.jpg (500x443, 19.28K)

That start button is putrid

>manly tears holds a n64 controller.jpg

hahaha that joke has never been made before
10 intenecs for you my friend

No is not mate.

SOUL
Soul

didn't know you still posted here shortstuff

This BUT specifically the dreamcast's dpad.
What is this exactly? I feel like it's a handicap capable controller.

How is the ds3 specifically worse than it's predecessors you xnigger?

NTA but the dualshock 3 is the worst dualshock/sense controller by far. The build quality is poor, the battery life is awful, the triggers are poor. It's a straight downgrade from the dualshock 2.

Attached: jj.jpg (1800x975, 473.03K)

the dualshocks always felt like dvd remotes to me

Christ that controller is the size of an n64 who the fuck let this get past the obvious joke concept art

This piece of shit is horrible thanks to the comically oversized "slider pad". Even if you somehow got rid of that the circuit board is arranged in a way that makes the contacts super far apart, requiring a mammoth D-pad. Only good thing I can say about it is it's a great PCB board for modding, I took a cheap shitty one and used to make an arcade controller.

i think the boomers that made this trash just wanted to hop on the video game crash but its more amusing to just say they hated children

i had some derivative n64 control with a needlessly thick middle because why the fuck not

What the fuck

.....What?

all controllers are aids & fagot.
you use a mouse & a keyboard or you are an npc failed abortion

My assumption is that this is trying to be an arcade stick, for a console which has very few fighting games (probably a grand total of two that were remotely worthwhile).

>keyboard is entirely derivative of typewriter layout
>mouse is made as an easy way to navigate files
>these are somehow superior for playing videogames than the gamepads made specifically to control videogames

The first Dualshock 3 revisions (not SixAxis) were solid. But the later A1 and A2 revisions (especially those that started releasing around the superslim PS3) were indeed cheap dogshit.

here's your controller bro, let's play some smash.

This is actually genuinely not that bad to use as just a straight GCN pad. But with it so spread out, it feels weird not having a duplicate Z button on the left shoulder.

I never thought about it that way before, but I guess you are right.

I feel like the person who designed that controller had more fun with it than the people who ended up owning it.

Is it dumb that that thing actually looks really comfortable? You could just rest it on your lap with your hands at the natural should-width apart. Get a pillow to hoise it up just a little and your wrists are at a perfect angle. I'd get one if they weren't $200 on eBay.

*breaks after 12 seconds of use* nothin' personnel, kiddo

>the battery life is awful
It has a longer battery life than PS5 and PS4 controller put together, and you can google that.

>we want the cronenberg audience

Attached: existenz pod.jpg (275x183, 9.17K)

how do you even operate this thing?

Not my actual pic (mine is clear blue instead), but same thing. The analog "balls" are basically just the caps of a regular analog stick but without the actual stick part.

dualshock if he castrated

your bait didn't work, kek

Wtf is that thing

Attached: 1614545071721.jpg (336x384, 20.87K)

so uhh... did the analog work?

Beyond evil

Attached: 666.jpg (394x379, 51.02K)

christ god kill it

Admittedly I haven't actually used mine. I got it for less than a buck in a "junk controllers" bin though. So that's probably not a great omen.

You've clearly never used this controller.

Fucking deodorant sticks for analogue

Are those like rubberized trackballs which spins freely?

No. They snap back like regular analog sticks.

Yes. And the opinion of a clueless console monkey is irrelevant.

Probably a controller meant for fighting games that you lay on your lap.

>your opinion is irrelevant
>to prove it, I'll reply to you so you can validate my opinion!

Attached: (YOU)!.jpg (1649x931, 131.8K)

getting nikocado vibes from this

its a shame the 64 has like 5 fighters. its controller seemed tiered for 6 button fighters

someone had a look at the shitty n64 controller and said; I can make this even worse

Attached: glov.jpg (1000x750, 53.17K)

lol the fuck is with those extra useless face buttons?

if that slide stick/dpad had microswitches like the ngpc i bet it would be a great controller

That's not how it works you absolute retard. Your take on mouse/keyboard is enough to classify you in the consolemonkey category talking about shit you don't understand.
Keyboard is made to have access to an absurd amount of keys in very little time with ease, allowing for maximum Performa and personalization. Mouse offers the upmost precision for anything fps/tps related. Now KYS

>"maximum Performa"
>he says while dropping letters in his manifesto

Attached: 1629428776657.png (461x461, 225.96K)

>all this butthurt
>because I play video games on a different computer box from you

Attached: baby grinch.jpg (236x282, 17.19K)

Looks like a modded N64 console that had the controller components integrated into it and the output is at the top. All this was done for some reason

There are advantages to using a joystick for movement direction, but ya, other than that, controllers are shit.

I have no idea how to hold it.
