I was worried when I replayed it as an adult when the remaster came out I wouldn't like it as much as I did when I was a kid but I was blown away by how much I still loved it

I love the weapons, the animations, the look and feel but I cannot stand the level design. I'm sorry it's just ass.
Oh and the utterly useless Nuke weapon and the horrible cliffhanger ending, yuck.

Personally I like 1 more but 2 is still top tier. Excellent weapons, cool enemies, god tier animations and gore, superb music, and awesome locations. Bosses are terrible, though.

To be honest I've never played 1, I've only played 2 since I was a kid. What are the differences?

Turok 1 feels more like Doom/Quake in terms of gunplay and movement and similar to Unreal in terms of level design. It's much faster, there's no locational damage, and the weapons are less experimental/gimmicky (like the Minelayer, Sunfire Pod, etc).

Maybe I'll check it out then, but the weapons in Turok 2 are one of the main reasons I love it, especially with the animations and feels of the blood that the enemies have. I don't think anything for me will ever come close to the beginning level enemies of Turok 2 and the way they react and their blood looks so shiny. The sounds and look of Turok 2 will just always be engrained in my mind

Nah I think you'll like it. Weapons are very satisfying to use. Problem is you start to get the best weapons mid game.
