Can a character be badass even if they do something stupid?

Saiyan saga is peak dragon ball
Cell saga is the worst thing that happened to the franchise before super

You clearly don't even like DB.

Cell saga is great, it's just that the power of the Androids is stupid

Buu saga best saga

Answer the God damn question instead of arguing over arcs

I thought it was supposed to be a dumb rhetorical question

Why would you think that

Of course, haven't you ever played RE4?

What did RE4 do

Cell Saga is the least Dragonball out of all the Dragonball sagas.

Its a mess
Everything before it was great, all of DB and Z, but with the Cell saga it just becomes a mess

Leon's the epitome of a boy scout retard being a badass same thing goes for DMC series

Should I stop liking the Cell arc since everyone hates it now?

>The old man!
no wait
>The teenagers
no wait
>The green bug!

Make up your mind you chink

Even Buu saga? Buu took some really strange turns.

Cell saga was never good, Americans were just the loudest fans.

Buu saga is the most Dragonball out of all the Z sagas you dumb secondary. Dragonball is a Eastern Wuxia fantasy, and Buu Saga was the one to most have that vibe since Piccolo Daimao Saga.

I liked the stuff after Saiyan but before Freiza.
Gohan and Kuririn alone on Namek, hiding from everyone, Bulma doing shit, trying to get the balls without getting in a fight because everyone is way stronger than them.
Whole thing starts going to shit after the Ginyu fight in my opinion. The fight against Freiza isn't that interesting.

I'm still angry all the humans were forgotten
And it became the goku and vegeta show

Editors, not Toriyama. Toriyama kept trying to do something different with villain designs but he kept getting shot down until the villain was just another handsome faced regular baddie.

That's why DB is the best

It makes for a crap story
Like so much about the androids for them to become a non factor in the narrative

If you say so.

Why does nobody like the Cell saga anymore?

No cause it just makes you a massive fuck up, gohan is the definition of that.

No
He also never learns from this mistake
He just gets cocky and then gets his shit rocked

Because it's plot holes: the arc, also everyone is a fucking retard in the arc, goku, vegeta, trunks, the other z fighters, fucking everyone

>anymore
I never liked it, and I’ve always defended the much shat on Buu saga over it.

Buu saga is shit though

Its shit but not cell saga shit

This

Why? Just because it's wacky?

But Gohan did his job and beat Perfect Cell. The real issue was everyone standing around expecting a child to get his first kill when there were multiple people capable of killing Semi-Perfect Cell.

Nobody has ever liked cell arc.

Reminder that DBZ was supposed to end with Frieza, everything after that is pure cash grab

Nah. It's just some dudes being contrarians because Cell saga is popular.

The entire franchise is a cash grab.

The Cell saga is fine, the Buu arc is a war crime against manga.

I just can't take it anymore man. The Cell arc has it's issues, but I still like it, but now everyone hates it and I feel like I'm not supposed to like it anymore

No, because it’s wuxia, and the stakes were also higher.

Important characters actually died during Buu, and once the ball got rolling, it was a nonstop roller coaster of desperate attempts to try and stop him.

Cell Games on the other hand were fucking lame, and it wasn’t even a tournament. Plus the Androids being stronger than GALACTIC EMPEROR FRIEZA was fucking stupid. Janemba and Broly, had they been canonized earlier, both woulda been much better villains than Cell and the Androids.

I like Gohan's transformation since it had been built up since almost day fucking 1 of his introduction as a character. Finally we got to see that latent potential hinted at for years and years; he's my favorite character because of this and I'll always be mad at how they fucked him over. The bad parts come from the fact that I personally hate regenerating enemies to death. It was cool when Piccolo did it since it was new and made the battles feel more intense but they really overdid it with Cell. Buu was even worse imo.

Sure the Father-Son Kamehameha will always be an awesome as fuck moment but getting to that point was a fucking slog.

Dumb americans love it tho?

You can still like it even if it's bad you know, a good chunk of the dragon ball franchise is bad and people still like the it

No they don't.
t. american

>Important characters actually died during Buu, and once the ball got rolling, it was a nonstop roller coaster of desperate attempts to try and stop him

You mean non-stop asspulls and stupidity

Why can't you just like something while everyone hates it?
Why do you feel the need to follow a crowd?

>it was a nonstop roller coaster of desperate attempts to try and stop him.
They literally could have stop him at a dozen different points but chose not to because of reasons. There was no actual tension until Kid Buu went on a rampage.

rent free

>goku telling gohan to finish it off
Thats on you goku you retard. guess who gave Cell a sensu bean

Because of everyone else hates it, that means it's objectively bad, and it doesn't feel good liking something that's bad in an unironic way

>Can a character be badass even if they do something stupid?
admitting to and learning from mistakes is exclusive to badasses. it's mongrels and betas who pretend they don't make mistakes and their prowess suffers because of it.

> Because of everyone else hates it, that means it's objectively bad
> Because of everyone else loves it, that means it's objectively good

when the fuck was this ever true? is fortnite and lol the best games ever now?
people are retards and if you can think different than the blibular brainwashed mess, never be ashamed of it

also cell saga was shit, but only cause DBz went downhill after namek
its still better than anything after it and also a decent point to stop watching dbz firever
its like the third movie in a trilogy, always shit, but you have to watch it

Badasses don't make stupid mistakes in the first place

When I say everyone, I mean the more intelligent people that know what they're talking about

Only gay boys hate the cell saga. We got Android fucking 16 because of it.

more intelligent people either dont watch animes or watch them and dont give a fuck
if you like it, enjoy it, even if its "bad"

That's literally Vegeta's whole character so yes. That's the beauty of the antagonistic rival archetype, you cheer when they're kicking ass and when they do something stupid and get curb stomped.

EVERTONE STOP FIGHTING OVER ARCS AND JUST ANSWER THE GOD DAMN QUESTION IN THE OP

Yes, he's a complete autist living out a power-fantasy and throwing out cringey one-liners all the while chopping up dangerous threatening killers.

Hgfd

>do something stupid
this comes with the bad ass package

I really can’t stand GT apologists

Buu was strongly unfocused as an arc. Just because it blends comedy and action better than the others doesn’t mean it lacks flaws.
It was strongly unfocused

Frieza saga>Saiyan saga>Buu saga>Android saga>Cell saga

Still better than the pile of shit that was the Cell Saga.

>Vegeta lets cell reach final form
>Goku gives him fucking beans
>Gohan wants to torture him more before killing him

Is Gohan really the retard here
