This is something I've been wondering, too. How much does doing certain token negotiations effect the final attraction? For example, I solved the final attraction by using the article clipping that Alice gave me, but it felt like that was only something I got for getting him the 20 Reko Tokens he asks for.

If you save up enough tokens, can you trade the Sacrifice to someone else? I never bothered saving up tokens. Also, can you use the 200 token machine?

That's how I beat it too so I don't know.

Danganronpa if most characters weren't lol wacky. The deaths in this game are hard to get through in comparison to Dangan and part of that is the characterization. DR culprits/victims are usually either annoying, assholes, or so alien they're unrelatable.

Keiji's a goner. Q-Taro is probably gonna die too. I think Gin will be safe because they won't kill that kid off unless there's some twist with him and even then I still don't think they'll kill him off.

If you spared Reko, then I can see her surviving due to her will to live for Alice and Nao plus she will probably continue being filler so she should be safe. If you spared Alice, then I feel like he might end up dying because he's just going to go back to prison even if he escapes unless the real Sou really is still alive. If you spared Kanna then, she can go either way. Dies or survives. If you spare Sou/Shin, then he's probably gonna die.

We also have Sara's dad to deal with now and we know he's either a participant(unlikely) or the final floor master(possible) due to his collar on his neck. We also can't ignore Miley and the possibility of the real Sou being around. Then we've got Rio Ranger and Safalin as well along with whatever other shit they could introduce in this final chapter.

In an ideal world you'd end up with the route you picked determining who can potentially live/die in the final chapter. For example, let's say if you go with Sou you'll have to choose between saving Keiji and Gin since they both voted for Kanna, and perhaps on-top of this if you saved Reko she'll sacrifice herself to save Gin or something allowing you to save Keiji.
In reality that's probably too much work for a one-man team to manage.

DR's biggest story advantage over YTTD is that a killing game > death game. DR has a simple, adversarial ruleset that doesn't change. Tension results in murder, the class has to find the blackened with an investigation.

YTTD is instead like a card game with roles randomly and automatically assigned. All the puzzles and logic stuff is thrown in around the killing game, but really it's not all connected to who has what card. Which is all that matters. Given the way the game is set up, there's not much the characters can do to directly investigate the sole thing that matters in the main game. YTTD the characters focus entirely on the mystery of their captivity, but the game they're in lacks the same punch because it's very limited how much they can play the game.

DR's concept is flat out dumb because the killing game is a joke. It's a bunch of idiots killing each other and getting baited by a bear. The YTTD characters are a lot smarter and more relatable. The DR characters are also one note gimmicky jokes for the most part with awful designs.

In DR, I often had a tough time empathizing with the characters. Sometimes they felt kind of cartoony.

But 8 of them died(candidates and non candidates) leaving just 12 at the beginning of this game(well 11 since we didn't know about Alice until chapter 2)

And now we're done to 6 participants left: Sara, Keiji, Gin, Q-taro, Reko/Alice and Kanna/Sou.

We could have a 7th if real Gin never died.

This. Game started off 20 people. Then after first trial 8 died(presumably) and we start off chapter 1 with 12 characters(11 since 1 wasn't introduced till chapter 2). Then after chapter 1 we went down to 9 characters. Then after chapter 2 we went down to 6 characters.

So if it keeps going with 3 characters die a whole chapter, then we'll end up with 3 survivors or something.

I'll just repost what Ive said in other threads: The game masters plan is obviously about Sara surviving, its probably something retarded like conditioning her to be the next host of these death games since the current host is her father and they've outright said this is all about her. Killing Kanna makes Sou fucking mind break Sara, and she will probably become even more twisted when Sou does more madman shit and starts killing people which will just end up making Sara a good host. Letting Kanna survive makes Sou fill her full of hope, so she won't be the host.
If these games are all being ran over and over and over again with AIs, why would they randomly give Sou the percentage numbers in the live version of the death game? They obviously know he will do his mad man shit like he has done because their counting on it. Killing Kanna is what a leader of this death game would do because they'd be keeping the useful asset and kill the one who has no value. I'm a Ginfag but Q-taro is definitely a great character. Why would you even hate him. While she's an evil bitch, she seems to somewhat value rules since she didn't really cheat during her run as floor master. It's about who has the higher chances of winning. Sou's was lower than all the other candidates so it looked like he was fucked. And since they ran many simulations, the ones who had the higher chances must have done well in those games.
