It's alright. Havent really played anything new since Mario Maker.
I think the new Pokemon looks like complete shit so I guess Daemon X Machina and Astral Chain are the only things I'm looking forward to

>Are you enjoying your Switch bros?
Yes, currently juggling between Xenoblade 2 (replaying on a new save file), Hollow Knight and Slay the Spire (amazing game, even though ascension grind is kicking my ass). Already have Daemon X Machina and Astral Chain pre-loaded thanks to the vouchers, can't wait for them to come out.

Just got Kirby and despite being simple, holy shit am I just in love. A perfect relax after working at the office.

I bought mine in august last year, and i've been enjoying all the great ports it received, i'm playing dark souls at the moment and it's very solid outside of the audio. I hope later models will be hackable, i don't want people who jumped in later to miss out on all the great homebrew!

I'm liking it a fair bit
Three Houses is taking me some time, trying to figure out who I want to recruit since I set the limit of one-per-house for myself to not deprive Edelgarde and Dimitri of their friends
Nah, I'm gonna stick with my OG model

Reminder that this is free to download for the next week. I'm having fun with it

Attached: mario-tennis-aces-cover.jpg (800x450, 98K)

I can only afford one new game for awhile. I'm torn between Three Houses and Astral Chain.

Too bad the online is dead.

Not free on mine wth are you on about

Hard to say, wait for Astral Chain reviews I suppose, that would be safest.
Three Houses has a LOT of content and longevity with its four paths, but Astral Chain will very likely have a solid amount of content as well, and the gameplay itself will be more with its own replayability since you can probably only have so many upgrade resources among the 5 legions
hard to say desu

I hit the 100 hr mark in Tangledeep. I'm not even a huge Roguelike fag but this game is beyond comfy.

Attached: td.png (1689x947, 2.77M)

I got so frustrated with that. I was great until people figured out how to cheese wins.
The simple mode is pretty good still.

do you have nintendo online?

IIRC it's only for European NSO subscribers

>Too bad the online is dead.

Nope.

Very much so. No need for upgrade, I play mostly docked.

Attached: 20190806_133705.jpg (1439x1079, 1.3M)

US and EU gets Mario Tennis Aces
Japan gets Captain Toad

jelly of them sneaky japs

I'm only really interested in Fire Emblem. I think I'll be playing almost always with the switch docked. Should I wait for the new version to come out in my country or should I get the standard right now?

I played last months event and I kept seeing the same 3 names every match, that's pretty fucking dead.

Get the current one if you're only playing docked

On the fence about getting this or the lite. Lite seems like a bit of a ripoff for the amount of features it sacrifices, but I'm also cheap.

Wait

You'll own your switch for way longer than the short amount of time to wait for the revision, wait for it.

>Spent 30 hours in chapter 1 of Dragon Quest Builders
>Still 3 chapters to go
>Astral Chain coming out in 3 weeks

fuck

Can hackedbros and revisioncucks finally get along?

My first Mariko Switch had image retention, but the replacement does not.

Battery life is double, sometimes more than double.

I got maybe 90-120 minutes of DQB2 on my old Switch, I broke 5:30 on my Mariko with 75% backlight and wifi on.

Wifi off would add even more.

The newer switch will run cooler too, which means less chance of bending and it will just generally last longer. Depending on where you live, it may be out already, if not, rather soon, best to wait.

Playing Cross Tag Battle while I wait for the post office to stop fucking up with my copy of Three Houses and I pre-purchased Astral Chain on the eshop with a voucher. I love my Switch and watch Youtube on it before going to sleep.

I just bought a Switch, I don't know what game I should get first though.

games run better handheld than docked

What stuff do you like user?

why did you buy a switch then?

Multiplayer: Splatoon 2, Smash, MK8
Single player: BOTW, Bing Bing Odyssey, DKCTF, Bayonetta 2, Xenoblade 2, feth
Multiplat/indie: Ys VIII, Hollow Knight, Steamworld Dig 2, Golf Story, Slay the Spire.

But I'm comfier on a tv with a pro controller

Golf Story is a switch exclusive

I just got a switch (old model) as a gift... without a game and right now I broke. What I can do in the meanwhile? And let me repeat you: it was a gift.

>mk8
CTR

Download free demos from the eshop. I recommend DQ Builders

I'm going to say this every Switch thread, but fuck me I am so god damn happy Disgaea 4 is the next Disgaea getting ported to this thing. It's my favourite, it's the biggest in terms of content, has some of the best mechanics in the series, and has my favourite cast in the series including one of my most beloved characters

I'm legitimately so god damn excited for it.

Attached: 4cover.jpg (925x962, 162K)

Alright then I think I'm gonna wait until the revisoned version it's out, I've been really itching to buy one soon since three houses looks pretty nice, hopefully this way I'll be able to grab a copy of the game at a lower price too

Warframe is free and doesn't need Nintendo online subscription.

I'm happy you're happy user

I can't decide what classes I want my house to be (BLUE!) and it's stressing me out #FireEmblemProblems #Kony2012

Mines getting repaired right now should arrive at the repair center tmmrw I was on the later chapters of fire emblem and my joy cons decided to start disconnecting all the time while hooked to the console
Probably like another week till it gets back to me I hope they just replace my console and give me the new model
It sucks man

Just bought Fire Emblem. Never played one before so hope its fun.

I'm looking at Tales of Vesperia, Disgaea, Zelda BOTW, Smash Bros and Mario Maker.

I also plan to get Civ 6 at some point even though I own it on PC

mainly for smash

I was hating on the new The World Ends With You port because i wanted to play it on TV and the docked controls are fucking heresy. After i got over it, the handheld controls are just fine and the updated game is fun as fuuuuuuuuuck.

I got a free copy of BoTW and im thinking of throwing it away.

send it to me instead?

>After i got over it, the handheld controls are just fine and the updated game is fun as fuuuuuuuuuck.

How quickly did you get over it? Kinda want to play that again on the big screen.

Someone tell me about the games in the Capcom Beat em Up Collection, I'm interested in the mecha one and I've heard of Final Fight but don't know much about the others.

The only way that’s happening is if you get the vouchers.

It's also fun as fuck once you git gud

This thread is now not comfy. Fuck the switch. It is cringe and bluepilled.

Attached: D3ED6642-CDBA-4C06-AF10-7FF17D4250C3.jpg (567x477, 36K)

I've had mine for a few months now and it's pretty comfy, haven't bought too many games for it but I've enjoyed the ones I've played like SMO, Bayonetta 2, and Splatoon 2. It'll probably be my only current gen console for a while after the PS4 becomes obsolete.

As a veteran FE fan, it's piss easy, so it's probably just right for a first timer. Other than that, I'm really enjoying it, too.

Attached: join the black eagles.png (1280x720, 971K)

Well if you got it mainly for Smash that sounds like a good place to start unless you want something a bit more structured, though I thought World of Light was pretty cool as well as playing multiplayer but your milage may vary on that one.
I'm still confused as to why you can't play it just like the DS version in handheld mode controlling both of them except it's just on one screen seeing as you can do co-op in this game. Did you ever try playing co-op with yourself? I heard a few people say that was the best way to play it.

Yeah been enjoying the shit outta Dragon’s Dogma and Ninja Warriors Once Again. Fire Emblem Three Houses is good too but it’s not exactly the kind of game you can just pick up and play so I haven’t gotten the time for it lately.

Also no, ain’t even gonna bother with the new models. I have no use for the lite version and while the longer battery model sounds intriguing you just know damn well they got a “New/Pro” version just down the lane. Already gotten burned that way with the 3DS, not gonna let that happen again.

The online is truly dead, but it's fun couch co-op. And yeah, Battle Circuit is rad.

Alright Switchfuckers. I bitched about this in the Smash general, but much to nobody's surprise, I basically got the equivalent of "Works on my machine ;^)". Should have known better. So I've been through countless controllers both first and third party, and EVERY SINGLE ONE has had some fucking input, or drifting issue. It's especially horrendous in Smash. I've returned more to the store than I can count. Currently, I'm sitting on a Joycon that drifts up on left stick. A pro controller that drifts left, resulting in shit like Dr. Mario's tornado starting to go left then right when held right the entire time, or up B's just popping off in the opposite direction. A GCN controller that has the right stick in hard up tilt literally 90% of the time, causing the camera to constantly be moving in certain games. Is it just me? Does anyone else have this much trouble with Ninty garbage? Nintendium my ass.

Attached: 1551481025049.png (680x453, 82K)

I've got one set of joycons and two pro controllers, and the only issue so far has been drift on one of the latter (drifts down). Whenever the drift starts I shake the analog and blow on it and it goes away for an hour or so.

Works on my machine ;^)

Attached: 1374403756785.jpg (400x300, 22K)

I was mainly thinking of just playing by myself, but I might try get my friend on board, there's an idea. Guess I'll check out Battle Circuit second then, thanks mate.

Wait until a sale, it's a neat little package but not worth full price

Yeah it's on sale right now actually for a tenner. I would like the nip physical, but triple that is too much.

How does that works?

I bought a Switch today but the games I ordered on Amazon got delayed and won't arrive until tomorrow or Friday.

Attached: 1564936736844.gif (480x458, 252K)

You could always play Tetris 99 while waiting for your games, provided you payed for an online subscription like a good goyim.

Cool I didn't know it was free! I just fund out you have a free 7 day trial too so I will just play that and NES games until I receive my package.

Say, I don't get digital unless is the only way to get it, a 8G micro SD card would be enough to keep me for a while? Micro SD cards are expensive over here and I happen to own this 8G card, I don't remember how I got it.

Made some more progress in my new game of Zelda BotW. Took some more screenshots in handheld mode. 353 korok seeds so far.

What is the meaning of this?

Attached: EA2PGBHUcAAxjDY.jpg (1280x720, 140K)

Define a while, the switch has 32gb internally (minus whatever it is for system stuff and formatting) and that lasted me seven months or so with Bayonetta taking up like 8.5gb of that. Put the microsd in after you've filled up most of internal storage, cause it defaults to downloading stuff to sd.

How much warframe needs?

>Microtransaction garbage
No thanks, MK8DX still the best kart racer.

Quick google of Nintendo's site says 17.6gb, but idk if that includes updates or not which I would presume it has had. I thought I remembered seeing it listed as about 30gb on the eshop but maybe not.

Shit, that is like half of the default space.

Finally went back and finished Mario Odyssey and I honestly forgot how much fun it was, I feel like I took the game for granted on release. Fuck the darker side, though. That shit was a load of fun and also horse shit

I really tried liking the Switch. Games run like total ass and are frankly hard to play. This is coming from a Ps4fag.

>ps4fag
makes sense. Games run fine if you're not playing multiplats. What do you mean hard to play?

Theres a ton of free to play games like Fortnite and Warframe

Just got a V2 yesterday? Downloaded Cadence of Hyrule? What else should I get bros?

>actually bought the new revision
I hope you didn't already have a switch bro

Nope. Still was rocking the Wii U and 3DS. My first Switch.

what type of games are you into

If your in the US try calling gamestop and ask if they have the revised switch in the red box. I got mine two days ago.

Anything but sports and hardcore JRPGS.

fellas whats the best doom game on the switch?

Xenoblade 2 is so damn good, also been considering a replay.

Only free for a week

does it have better story than 5? player 1,2, and 5 due to being a very late comer to the series, but 5 had by far the weakest story of the 3 I've played.

Homebrew doom 1 and 2.

Well not being into JRPGs might be a problem since that's where the switch really shines, at least as far as third party games goes. Stuff like Monster Hunger GenU, Tales of Vesperia and recently Fire Emblem.
Besides those the games that I enjoyed the most on switch are:
-Taiko no Tatsujin (really great rythm game, maybe the best on the system)
-Puyo Puyo Tetris (really good version of tetris that has puyo puyo mode aswell, there's also Puyo Puyo Champions which is just puyo puyo but it costs much less)
-some shmups like Gunbird 1 and 2 (aswell as other Psikyo shmups) and Ikaruga
-the Diablo III port is really solid if you just want a mindless looter
I'm obviously not mentioning first parties since those should be a given. Smash, MK8, Mario Odyssey, Zelda and maybe Mario Maker 2 are probably the best games of the system. And besides those Bayo 2, Hyrule Warriors and DKTF are really solid if you didn't play them on WiiU.

The two games that came out of left field and ended up being 10/10s for me were Mario Rabbids Kingdom Battle and Golf Story, highly recommend both. MRKB is constantly going on sale with the dlc for cheap.

what's wrong with the revision? I was considering it since I play more handheld mode so that battery life was attractive.

Nothing wrong with getting the revision if it's your first Switch, but dropping 300 dollars on a second Switch just for marginally better battery life is a bit foolish.

Haven't bought a new game since Smash which I didn't really enjoy (wanted it for online play but it's shit). I got Three Houses with the voucher and I'm really enjoying it. IDK if I'll use my other one with Astral Chain or maybe Luigi's Mansion 3. I'll wait for the reviews.

Is the new model worth the upgrade? Wish the new model was given more push in marketing maybe there would've been deals to trade in old models so I could justify getting one.

Playing Raiden V
It's got some good ideas but it's so visually distracting for a shmup it's surprising how they ended up releasing it like this, not to mention no Tate or double/dual mode.
Sadly I had hoped there would be more shmups on here but it's hard to justify buying some of these at the prices they have

Playing pic at the moment, taking a break from FE3H.

youtube.com/watch?v=NteidGHXV7U

God the remastered music is awesome in this game.

Yeah, it's only for a week or so. They already had that demo or whatever.

Where did you get mountaneer and knight armor? Which one should i upgrade? I upgraded my hylian armor 2 times, can i degrade it?

Loterally just got a Switch on the weekend with Mario Odyssey and its actually really fun

Plan to get BOTW next to see why Yea Forums love/hates it.

Any other games you can recommend? I'm a boomer who didn't play consoles since the Gamecube and like games I can drop in and out for an hour or so

I sold my old one for $240 to some craigslist chump so it only cost me ~60
Pretty happy, switch used 15% battery for an hour of fire emblem, old switch could only do two and a half before dying. And the fan doesn't run constantly now its dead silent

the fuck are you talking about
get good faggot

Bayonetta 2 and Donkey Kong Country are good fun. Mario Maker 2 is great and has a good community making decent levels, there are regular threads here on Yea Forums even. Hollow Knight is great the new Fire Emblem is Real good.

Is Disgaea 5 worth $20 digital?

Attached: 1564955510436.gif (498x280, 1.9M)

Stopped playing World of light halfway through, Finishing it with my boy the gov is making it fun as fuck.

I should really play as someone else to fight dracula, but fuck it, I've gotten close a few times.

You can't unupgrade armor. I'd recommend upgrading the climbing gear first since its 2 stars set bonus reduces energy consumption when jump-climbing, thus significantly boosting climb efficiency. IIRC all three pieces of the climbing set are found in shrines, the bandana being in the rift between the twin peaks on the road to Kakariko, and I think the pants or the shirt are the reward for finding the shrine from the three trees riddle in Hateno, though it's been years since I've played the game. Can't recall where the third piece was, but it was also in a shrine.

Why would you get a Switch if you had no idea what to get for it? The only thing worth it is the exclusives; multiplatform games run better on other consoles and the rest of the eshop library is just shovelware garbage on par with the Wii U eshop.

Just bought the revised model, no store had it but gamestop, but the first gamestop I went to had some guy tell me they cannot sell them yet and that there's no release date available. I go to another gamestop and the guy sells me it. I can see why these fuckers are going out of business.

I have a bandana, is there a reason to upgrade it though? Does it also upgrade climbing speed? If not, i could just change clothes when climbing and change it again when fighting. Is hylian armor good or are there better ones with better defense? I also have the royal guard one but it has worse defence.

NIS is an... uncompromising developer.

The games definitely seem worth the investment, but it can be hard to tell if some gameplay features were supposed to be learned through trial and error, or if they just assumed you'd look it up online.

Short answer, it's definitely worth the money, but probably not worth the time.

So is shit like me pointing Up+B for recovery but getting a side B and falling to my death drifting? It only tends to rarely happen. Thought it might just be me holding it slightly to the side but I swear I'm pointing exactly up.

should I buy mario tennis

Go into the configure analog stick menu and watch the dot, if it's off center on its own then you have drift. Also make sure it registers movement correctly

What's up with all these 2hu games on sale? Are any of them worth it?

The act of browsing a story for games you know nothing about and finding out if they're good by playing them is fun in and of itself.

You can do the same thing on steam, but laptops aren't quite as portable as a switch.

Isn't it free to play soon? Wait and see if you like it first.

Splatoon 2 is perfect for you

Just ordered 3H from Amazon and will arrive next week. Can't for my exams to be over so I can vidya all day and night.

I've always wanted it

It sucks because my left joycons drifts. At least it works for a while if I spray under the sticks. I finally bought a pro controller for this reason. Every time I’m enjoying playing a game, I have to think in the back of my mind of its eventual malfunction. It sucks. At least my decade olde gc controller is reliable as hell

Unironically this sold me on astral chain
That voucher was far too tempting

>Forgetting MHGU
Get that shit user

Saw one at Walmart the other day and am considering getting it tomorrow if they still have it in stock. Don't know the release date for the updated ones in the states so I guess it's out now. Will probably give the one I have to my sister. She probably won't mess with it until Animal Crossing comes out or unless my brother wants to play local.

Attached: IMG_20190806_070237393.jpg (1920x3840, 1.95M)

I bought the physical copy of Guacamelee 1+2 yesterday. The fiance and I were playing for a couple of hours. We beat the first dungeon. The battle system is fucking solid as hell. Anyone know how the second game is compared to the first?

Attached: amiib.jpg (1765x1547, 194K)

Most gear that come in a set of three gives you an additional set bonus when wearing all three pieces with each pieces having been upgraded at least two times. As mentioned, the climbing gear's bonus is reduced stamina cost on jumps while climbing, the Shieka set gives you faster walk speed at night, etc. Other than that, upgrading gear just boosts their defence stat. The armor set is one of the rare ones that gives no actual set bonus, but it is the set with the highest base defence (except for the torso that gets outclassed by Link's blue tunic when upgraded high enough - which requires a ton of rare material, making the armor set still the best defensive option for most of the game)

>downloaded dq11 on pc
>pc's been randomly rebooting after some minutes in most games
>been reading great things about fe three houses
>xb2 is too anime but combat and exploration seem interesting
>Only one voucher left
I hate being poor. Don't care or already own the rest except for those 3

XB2 is old enough that it'll probably go on sale come Christmas time (even BotW had a sale once), FETH is too new for its price to go down for a LOOONG while. That being said, XB2 is the only game of the three I've actually played personally, and it was fucking amazing (but then again I'm a huge fucking Xenobladefag that had put 200 and 600 hours in Xenoblade 1 and X respectively before picking up 2, which now sits at 450 hours, so your mileage may vary)

what can you possibly do in xenoblade 2 for 450 hours?

Only austistic niggers who never played the game or don’t realize how BOTW makes other games seem outdated overnight is the issue.

tropical freeze.

Same thing happened to me.
>You got 3 Houses? Nope sorry can’t sell it to you til Monday
Ok whatever
>Go to the mall couple blocks over and notice they have a GameStop too
Do you guys have 3 houses
Yes! And have a free poster dude!

Just why tho?

Play the damn game

Playing Labyrinth of refrain.
so far so good I guess, just unlocked the goth neko girl.

I don't like overly long games anymore. It's just padding for the sake of it. Can you beat the game in a normal amount of time, say 40-60 hours?

Guns gore & Cannoli 2.
>never played it
play it once and youll never go back
>muh micro transactions
real money not allowed, get what you want by playing the game.
>play Xenoblade
>no one fucking warned be about the brit voices
>hear them in my sleep

Got a cracked shell on my Left Joycon so decided to just do a full Shell swap on the Switch. Anyone have any case recommendations based on pic related?

Attached: Classic-NES-Switch.jpg (1500x1500, 99K)

Not exactly video game related in the sense of a store but as someone who used to work in a food chain there are just instances where a person will uphold certain "rules" or "orders" to not do as much work. I know whenever someone brought us a free birthday coupon that would cut the entire meal cost I would ID the person if they looked sketchy just to save myself from making food. 9/10 the person was a fraud abusing the system and I would keep on doing nothing with a smug look. They probably didn't want to bother in the long run.

>And yeah, Battle Circuit is rad.
Oh shit user, you weren't kidding that was rad as fuck.

Been enjoying Risk of Rain 2 on PC, so Im thinking about nabbing RoR1 on Switch as well as Slay the Spire. Hows the Switch version of each?

the fuck are you talking about?

Ayy glad you liked it my dude

I 100%'d the game on NG (all sidequests and merc missions, S-ranked all rare Blades, beat every superbosses), then on NG+ I S-ranked all of the NG+-exclusive Blades as well as cleared all DLC content (all the new sidequests and Blades, every challenge in Challenge Mode), then I cleared Torna 100% in both NG and NG+, and I'm now in the middle of 100%ing NG of both the base game and Torna yet again on a new save file.

Simply clearing the base game took me 80 hours, and I was doing a lot of sidequests, salvaging, buying out shops, maxing every town's development levels, etc. If you don't care about side shit you can probably easily clear the game in 60 hours or less. It's just that there's a lot of post-game and side-content.

No. I'm incredibly bored with it. The RPG selection fucking sucks. Recommend me something.

Grandia HD collection drops in a couple weeks.

Well... even though I have Diablo 3 on PS4 and only played for an hour or so, my wife bought me it on switch. Seems like the place to play it because that’s all I’m playing right now.

Also, she got our daughter Yoshis crafted world, so, it’s prtty awesome to teach me 4yo about gaming...

Still finishing BOTW & MARIO odyssey.

I like multiplayer in my gaming room (PS4) and wi ding down with the switch for wholesome family fun.

Post below you...

>literally buying a new system for slightly better battery life
why though

All fucking normies must fucking hang

Oh shit. Googling it suggests it's a switch exclusive? That's actually pretty cool.

Tell me;
Why should I not get a pro controller for my switch?

Where will we get our Switch related news now?

Attached: 46694582.jpg (473x334, 23K)

You absolutely should

Normie, what in the fuck gave you that idea.
You’re so far off the plate it makes you the normie.

Your schizophrenia aside, BOTW is a great game. Its pretty different from a traditional Zelda so I wouldn't say its a good representation on what to expect from the series overall, but if you're looking for an open world game you could pour a lot of hours into I say go for it.

BotW is a good first Zelda in the sense that it threw practically every Zelda conventions established by A Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time out the window and tried new things. That being said, I'd still recommend emulating ALttP or Link's Awakening for your first Zelda.

It's a better first zelda game than windwaker

The Wii U pro is better.

You have wife and kid

You are normalfag

You will die.

Does it work on the switch?

Any 3D Zelda is a better Zelda game than Wind Waker, first or otherwise.

Ok, so I was born in 82... only ever played the first “Zelda” and BOTW was and is pretty fun. I bought my first Nintendo since the 64 and it’s been an absolute gem. I’ve discovered I like wholesome gaming, on the couch, on work breaks etc.

Yeah right...
And you know nothing about my journey.
All down son.

Only if you buy a dongle like the Magic-NS adapter.

You are the definition of a normie and shouldn't be there in first place.

You know nothing of true pain. Of true suffering. You’re like little baby

Don’t at me again

Not him but do you wanna talk about it?

This post gave me a dejavu.

83 here, just got back into games after about a 10 year break. So much goodness to catch up on.

I don’t want to talk to you.
Explain

Depends on the game. Games get downscaled when being played solely on handheld to conserve power, along with being put into a weak power saving mod. Some games may take being played on a lower resolution as a higher FPS boost despite getting forced into a power saver mode.

Excited for Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition by Square Enix on the Nintendo Switch.

Smash has gotten me into Dragon Quest.

I’m too drunk and it’s too late for me to know whether post like this are ironic or not but I hope you enjoy your dragon quest thing

Go outside

thanks bro

>replacing Switch housing
Any other interesting ones out there?

That looks pretty cool

I was born in 85 and the Switch is my first console since the 64 (pretty much stopped gaming when I went to college). I played every Zelda game from the beginning to MM and really wish they'd bring all the one's I missed to Switch.

been playing a shit load of switch in the month or so. it started with mario maker getting me to pick up my switch again and decided to pick up a fire emblem and loved it and decided to finally play thru xenoblade chronicles 2 and its great so far as well

noticed ys viii was on sale so i picked that up

when did everything go so right?

I miss it so much bros. I played it every day almost all the time. Never played anything like it before or since. I just want the feeling of reaching the towers for the first time back. 215 hours. It's been almost ten months. Just ran out of things to do.

I think I'm around 240 hours. When I got the motorcycle it was like a switch got flipped and all of a sudden the game wasn't fun anymore and I haven't picked it up in probably 3 months.

It consumed me for 120 hours. Once I got all the shrines and beat Ganon I was done though, maybe for good. The magic of exploration is gone and now all I can do is enjoy the memory. What a thrill it was.

Anyone buy a new Switch yet in the red box or see them in stores? I get paid next Friday and would like to buy one then, just hope they'll be in stock by then. Already bought Three Houses, can't wait to play it. Got it fro $50 at Target.

My switch is in the shop and I got drunk the other night and pre-ordered the pokemon edition of the switch lite (never even played a pokemon game before). Not sure if I'll keep it or sell it (assuming it goes up in value). Isn't the "new" Switch exactly the same but just uses a couple new parts they developed for the lite?

I did the $50 Target deal too, what a deal. I could sell it on offerup for about the same, might do that after I beat it then pick it up used a few years down the road when it's cheaper.

>Isn't the "new" Switch exactly the same but just uses a couple new parts
Longer battery life because of a more efficient chip. You've never played a Pokemon game before? What's your problem dude?

I was in high school when it came out so just never got into it.

ALttP is boring by today's standards.

No it's not, fuck. Feels like shit to hold, bad joystick placement,.

Well now that you're more than likely retired Grandpa, you should play best gen, gen 7. Bust one out at Lillie for me, gramps.

Fire Emblem Three Houses is really damn good so far. I'm surprised at how good the game's writing is, the gameplay is fun and the cast (in Golden Deers) at least is lovely. I wasn't warm on the school setting at first but it really got me to like and care about the cast more than previous Fire Emblem's did, little touches like your units having a line for their reactions to killing their first person and every character commenting on what happened after each major month's battle really makes them feel alive, plus their interactions with eachother in general make them feel way more like a team. Also Byleth is better than Robin and Corrin by far

I never even got the motorcycle. DLC wasn't worth it except for the map history.

I've owned my switch for 2 years now, dropped it like 3 times to the point where the joycons are loosely connected to the sides. Never once had drift problems.

Claude is best boy by the way. I was expecting him to be a scheming dick but his development into a leader and the way he treats you like an actual friend as the game progresses made him grow on me a fuck ton.
how are the other routes in comparison?

Trial of the sword was one of the highlights of the game for me

I don't have one. Are they not making a new one in the vein of like the ps5? Just a revision? What are the new things in it? I plan to play it docked or like handheld from time to time.

Is jumping in now even fun if you didn't watch/play it as a kid?

>best gen
>gen 7
if you like playing games with excessive amount of handholding then sure? Just play gen 5 since the series peaked at BW2 and has only gotten shitter with time, especially with the new one

Hero's path was great, and I probably would have had to go online to find the last dozen shrines without it. There were pretty substantial areas that I'd found out I completely missed (like a 3rd of Hyrule Field, since I typically never just followed a road most of the time). I can't remember if the Korok mask is part of the DLC, but if you actually want to find koroks it's essential (I think I got a little over 300 and it's really not worth it unless you have literal autism, but if you're just wandering and fucking around there's no point in not wearing it; it's basically like the shrine sensor but for koroks). The quests leading up to the motorcycle are a decent expansion, and have slightly bigger and more difficult shrines than the regular game, and Trial of the sword is like an extended Eventide island and is probably the best challenge in the game. Master mode sucks, though.

definitely a pro controller game, it's fantastic and it feels like real tennis, I was able to put my real life tennis experience into the game, I'll definitely make use of the discount and buy it, best tennis game ever made

I thought Master Mode was fine. You'll most likely replay the game anyway so why not make it harder?

I didn't think Aces was worth $60, is it worth $40?

this kid is a faggot lol

What's a decent game I can buy digitally that isn't balls to the wall expensive?
I was thinking about Stardew Valley -- a friend told me not to bother without mods though. I'm waiting for A Hat in Time too.

test

Both Blaster Master Zero games are excellent.

Probably not, it is kind of a baby game, by which I mean it is designed to be easily beatable by young children. It's more about walking around areas again and again to collect all the things and talk to every npc than actually have exciting battles or obstacles that take thought or skill to overcome.
I'm not shitting on pokemon, but you need to understand the target audience to understand why it is the way it is.

Golf Story is the best switch digital exclusive imho

I was questioning myself before trying it, definitely worth the 40$, not 60$ for sure

Thanks, that's pretty much what I figured. I do like the look of the pokemon edition switch lite, though.

i sold mine for other things i couldnt afford at the time, while also putting 50 bucks down on the switch lite because i would much rather have it portable anyway. but then i literally just realized now that when i play mario odyssey i wont be able to do all the great maneuvers... fuck me

I waited forever for Golf Story to go on sale and when I finally got it I remembered that I had golf on the NES and never figured out the actual golfing mechanics, and even with the tutorial still don't understand them in Golf Story. I've honestly never had a game make me feel as stupid.

thx

It's simple enough, the only thing I had to look up was how to putt an extra long distance (hold R), that was never explained.

I haven't loved a game system this much since the GameCube. Hell I think it's better than the GameCube and almost as good as the Super Nintendo

trusted brand. i own many brooks products including this

Does anyone have that “switch games tier list” I know it’s bait but I forget what the switch has to play

nintendo.com/switch/tech-specs/

Model number: HAC-001(-01) - Available starting in mid-August 2019
(product serial number starts with “XKW”)
Approximately 4.5 - 9 hours

NINTENDO WON

>forget what the switch has to play
I bought a 400gb card thinking it was overkill and had to start deleting games a couple weeks ago because there's so much. (Granted, the only thing I deleted was NBK 2k19, which apparently is the biggest game available and I only bought because it was like $3 during the E3 sale.)

>NBK 2k19, which apparently is the biggest game
Why the fuck is that game 32gb

Fuck if I know. I started one game and got bored 5 minutes in. I remembered spending a lot of time with NBA Jam back in the day and figured there was no reason not to pick up a AAA game at 99% off (that was before I saw how much space it required).

$3 too much

I loved Xenochad 2 and i am playing Fire Emblem RN but the wait for Rune Factory 5 is killing me man.

Thinking of hacking mine but got almost all games I like already legit so don't know if it's worth it

I recently hacked mine and it’s been going ok only problem is it is a bitch to find games (nsps) I tried this tranny discord but damn those faggots are so far up their own ass, not only that but you have to donate to get first party gamss. I just want a reliable site

Yeah, I'll probably never play it.

>Normie
fuck off faggot

Just got it and was bored after 10 minutes. Tennis is honestly too repetitive a sport to have a whole game out of. I loved 64 as a kid but I think that was enough.
