>complete everything >time to fight the big bad baramos >it's impossible even though i've been grinding metal slimes for an hour with fast forward and save states >my characters all 30 except for my sage >search how to beat this faggot >people posting they had trouble beating him with a team level 38+ HOW THE FUCK DO YOU EVEN REACH THAT LEVEL?
I mean I swear I was easily over level 30 with really grinding or even finishing the main quest.
Cooper Hill
How the fuck? I was 25 at Baramos Castle and how to go grind Metal Slimes on the island below Greenland until 30. My Sage is still 15. They made the bosses way overpowered in the SNES remake so you've gotta grind like crazy.
Juan Ward
I beat him around lvl 29 tho, just as my sage and cleric hit 0 mp. sage made it easier tho with defence boosts and that fire/ice resist spell
Logan Rodriguez
It’s been forever, I know I used some type of items instead of MP, did 2 sages I think, this was back on the original NES.
Logan Brooks
Oh and as far as for the level, I was young and just fought everything while I explored, didn’t know any better. And you know there’s so much more than Baramos, right?
Anthony Davis
>original NES What I thought. They fucked the difficulty on SFC.
>people itt think the nes version is the same as snes
Owen Rodriguez
Why did they give all the bosses in the old dragon quest games a shit ton of hp when remaking them? For example, the final boss of Dragon Quest 4 takes a few minutes in the original but takes over half an hour in the remake. What the fuck?
Kevin Carter
Wait, what? Since when are remakes making old ass grindy JRPG even harder?
James Torres
2 did it because malroth lost fullheal I had no idea 3 and 4 did it as well, I guess they liked it, dont enemies give ore exp and gold in the remakes? maybe it was for balance
Nathaniel Edwards
I haven't played the snes version but you should be fine at level 30, I barely beat him at level 30. The people that are struggling at level 38+ are talking about Zoma, not Baramos. Baramos is NOT the final boss.
Thomas Stewart
All of the dq remakes made the bosses hard as fuck. Because grinding metal and liquid metal slimes for 5 hours is fun!
Levi Hill
I don't remember grinding but I was 38 at the end of the game on my save, and I was right around your level at Baramos.
I don't know what to do other than grind more. I have a Warrior, Mage level 30 and Cleric turned Sage that is 20 and just get shit on. His fire breath that hits the whole team just wrecks me and I can't heal fast enough.
Carson Roberts
Do you have healus?
Zachary Ward
Nope. Just Healmore. Healus isn't learned until lv 34.
Camden Long
Spam Snooze (sleep) and Fizzle (anti-magic). Baramos resists these (they might miss a few times) but isn't immune to them. It's pretty much the only way to beat him without Multiheal. Make sure to cast Accelerate (agility up) to make sure your party always take their turns first and Oomph (double attack) on your attacks to keep your damage output high. If any spells wear off, re-cast them immediately. Baramos isn't really difficult so much as he is a casual filter to make sure the player uses buffs and debuffs. >but what if I'm not using spell casters Why would you never have a Priest (white mage) or Sage (all mages in one) in your party in a JRPG unless you specifically were doing a challenge run?
Aaron Collins
Yeah, you may just want to grind for a bit if you keep dying pretty early into the fight. You have barrier, right? Be sure to use that to protect from some of the damage.
Christian Reyes
I did everything you said and I have a mage and a sage. SNES version.
Brody Mitchell
>barrier ok ill grind to 32 to get it and maybe his fire wont be as big of an issue
