So I've been thinking for a while about some of the cases I've been in the last [x] years I have been alive and I have been wondering, what position is your favorite and why?
Mine's defence, it provides the most risk and pressure since the case going well practically hinges on your competence and has the most reward in regards to those HOT, THROBBING OBJECTIONS and that STEAMY PURSUIT. Thoughts?
My favorite position? Mission- Wait, no, you're talking about AOV. Uhhhhh, smugposting prosecutor, obviously, nerd. I fucking love ruining the hope of the defense attorney and watching their spirit fucking crumble despite all of their asspulls.
Alexander Walker
Least favorite is judge, no offence to any "Judge mains" out there but judging is effectively saying you are uncomfortable in a position of risk or not confident in your ability. Not saying all judges are like that but that's how a lot of the strike me.
Angel Allen
fuck off lupa
Brody Martin
>Sadistic prosecutor. I mean that's fun and all but prosecutors rarely get that dopamine rush from finding those thick contradictions and making the entire courtroom damage emote.
Asher Reed
Judges just want to masturbate and get drunk
Angel Baker
I get a constant dopamine high of watching them smugly think they've found a real contradiction and then fucking destroy their souls when I bring up some ezpz logic to dumpsterfuck their lives directly into the depths of hell, making their case even harder.
Connor Foster
You mean watch Netflix and get drunk. Never.
Josiah Carter
>dfns, you don't realize that the defendant merely phased through the wall and therefore managed to be in two places at once.
I sure hope the leaps in logic aren't too wide and too deep.
Wyatt Sullivan
>Never. THEY FUCKING LEWD THE ATTORNEYS ALL THE TIME. I SAW A JUDGE THAT WAS PRACTICALLY BEATING OFF WHEN HE HOSTED AN LSP CASE ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME YOU QUINTUPLE NIG-NOG FOG-MACHINE QUIT OBSCURING THE FUCKING TRUTH
Angel Kelly
It's more like, >Defense, are you certain that this action had to take place at this time? Allow me to clarify this, for you. Your client committed both of these actions, but the timeframe isn't clear. They didn't need to be in two places at once; They simply did one thing at one place, and then another at a different time. There was no possible way they could've done it simaltaniously, you are correct, which means that they must have planted it, thus proving the crime was premeditated.
Luis Carter
Everyone who comes onto AO does so with the purest intentions and only that. There is no such thing as a degenerate on AOV.
Julian Lewis
i am not experienced enough to say what position is my all time favorite to be in but i like the defence bench as a whole because there you get to, and need to, connect evidence and testimony into one coherent, believable story that does not include the defendant killing the victim, and i think that's fun
It's all fun and games until the detective breaks the case with logic breaking last minute evidence.
But kudos to you user, I agree that defense provides the most optimal challenge possible.
Jaxson Garcia
>literally movie game >Yea Forums praises it Well, I guess it's okay when it's japanese.
Nicholas Scott
Personally I like being a witness, as it offers the most freedom in what kinda dumb goofy bullshit you can do. So long as you actually saw/did something and can recount the entire story in 10 statements or less, the rest is all up to you.
Jaxon Butler
Judge can be good if they decide to be judge and not a passive bitch who eventually drops the verdict. A good judge can prevent circular arguements that go nowhere from happening, and end the case at any time. There was some shitty Batman case and the first witness said he didn’t see the defendant and the judge immediately ended the case with a not guilty. Both sides have penalty bars too, not just defense.
Basically Judges can be great if they don’t get distracted from the case and have the ability to think for themselves
Ethan Garcia
>movie game Obviously, this guy has never played the vidya multiplayer server where you got people out for fucking blood
Thomas Wood
They *can* be great, but most of the time it takes someone who is hyper competent on both sides or at east decent with a mix of good neutrality to be a good judge, which is why it's so rare.
Luke Sanchez
Mooooovie game? I don't follow.
Jackson Young
the "movie game" is the tutorial for the online experience, just as Starcraft's campagin is a tutorial for the multiplayer, just as Half-Life is the tutorial for Half-Life Deathmath.
Never tried out AAO as I'm not very into online games and quite frankly scared I'll fuck up but I'm really bored so is it worth getting into in the current day? Where does one start?
Actually I’d recommend downloading this client and connecting to AOV instead. More content to use than base as well, and as far as I’m aware, aov is the only Yea Forums AO server. Download is a few gigs though.
Uh, things you should know is taking a co role regardless of the server you join for your first case and don't be afraid to mess up.
Ryder Hernandez
Funny thing. No one has mentioned stenographer. Basically the best role.
Brayden Gutierrez
I do not understand this game. Who makes up the cases?
Thomas Bennett
how is it best role if you don't even get to play?
>Who makes up the cases? Yes but memes aside, it's a community effort. first everyone decides a rough idea for a setting, then the witness players make testimonies and the detectives make evidence, and the lawyers have to connect them together.
Jacob Nelson
That sounds complex. Is it known ahead of time who the killer is? Or is it just something that kind of appears naturally from the contradictions?
Ryder Martinez
>That sounds complex it really isn't. the whole thing is basically Ace Attorney themed improv >Is it known ahead of time who the killer is? in most cases no. in some, one of the witnesses will try to play the killer. in some others, the whole case is pre-set from the start by a third party, who acts as a sort-of Game Master, dictating who of the witnesses knows what and who acts how
