GTA V would have been 10x better it focused more on Franklin and Lamar crazy hood adventures. The best part of GTA V was seeing Franklin and Lamar doing hood shit because it felt like San Andreas. Once Michael and Trevor reunited the story went to shit and it became Michael and Trevor acting like an old gay couple and Franklin being the third wheel.

Ended up with no one wanting to join my heists, realizing all the cars were shit and the same shit, and that no matter what, griefers in that flying motorcycle shit are going to wreck you just out of spite.

The problem with GTA Vs multiple playable characters approach was that the protagonist was still just Michael with Franklin's and to a lesser extent Trevor being supporting characters in his story. Especially Franklin's arc basically ended when he moved out of the ghetto. At that point the game only kept him around because it needed him for the ending.
