Crash sold extremely well throughout the years. He's easily within top 30 or so best selling franchises. And he's much more of a household name. Without the connection to Nintendo, Banjo would have no legs to stand on. At least when compared to most game series. It's the same boat as Bayonetta.

Phoenix Wright would have a moveset unique to anyone else in the Smash series! He could utilize his friend Maya's Magatama as a grab, or even toss vital evidence at his opponents to secure the innocence of his client! His playstyle in Smash wouldn't have to be based off of MvC3 per se, as Smash's unique platform-fighter genre and other mechanics, alongside Sakurai's attention to detail, could allow Phoenix even more variation in his moveset! If you can't grasp this reality, try drinking some grape juice to wash away your sorrows. And do make sure to look out for Ace Attorney 7, announced as an exclusive for the Nintendo Switch this upcoming Tokyo Game Show!
