I felt like it was a waste of time, Oddworld was done to me. They made my favourite game and some really fantastic stuff but it just seemed finished. If they ever manage to get back to the level they were at back then it would be a bloody miracle.

That looks like in-game currency to me senpai. If there were at least 2 types of currency then I'd be concerned, most F2P games have at least two: one you earn in-game for free that does fuck all and one they tease you with that you have to buy in order to win the game.

if anyone wants to play oddworld 1,2, get retroarch emulator and use the beetle psx hw core, which is based on mednafen, it's by far the most accurate emulation, epsxe looks fucked up on all settings

tools, distractions, weapons, bombs, it's cool imo cause it will mean a higher complexity ceiling which means 100% runs might be quite tricky to figure out, since i'm sure some puzzles will only have one solution if you're going for a perfect run

I like Stranger's Wrath quite a lot, don't know why it got tossed aside so hard compared to the Abe games. As far as shooters go it was unique and fun. Actually, the more I think about it the better I think of it.

Steef and Live Ammo check out for me, they look classic Oddworld. The enemies were boiler-plate and repetitive, sure, and the little goofy dudes you end up helping are really simple in design. That is basically their whole deal, though - they get beat up and bullied by everyone else because they're innocent simpletons.
