How long does it take for this game to become fun?

How long does it take for this game to become fun?
Just completed the first castle with all the tedious tutorial stuff and was hoping the gameplay would take the lead, but it's just still annoying hours of talking, pressing x and watching shitty animations.

Do people really have such shit taste seeing this as their goty

If you don't enjoy the talking bits quit now.

>bought a fucking vn with some gameplay
>complain about how it is vn
nigga you only have yourself to blame, do some research next time

If you haven't enjoyed it by now you won't change your opinion. Quit now.

Are you playing on safe and using normal attacks or something? This sounds like something a game journalist would complain about.

it peaks at next dungeon, if you dont like it now you never will

I'm playing on hard. The gameplay isn't the problem, it's basic but I like it. It's just that after 14 hours I experienced 2 hours of actual gameplay, and the rest is just fucking reading

It doesn't really change. More than half the game is a visual novel basically.

>time management isn’t gameplay

Surprise, it doesn't. It's a VN with a shit story. Tricked you!

>fortune teller

Honestly if you're past the first Palace and you don't like it, you never will, may as well drop it now. As much as I love P5, I definitely think it's not for everyone.

I should've known that Yea Forums doesn't like games and therefore loves this crap

just stop, you know you'd rather be playing FIFA or some shit so just play that instead

stop playing

It never stops being a tutorial because every palace has a gimmick that isn't even a gimmick

Would you stop posting this bait?

Haven't played fifa in years, but in defense of fifa, it has gameplay

Game opens up after the first palace and you get to do the time management sim.
It stays a psuedo visual novel the entire way through though. First palace is the best part of the game though.

That is the whole game.

Play SMT instead.

>peope don't like what I like
>this must be bait

>user buys a story based game
>complains about the story
This post also is a strawman cause you can engage the castle anytime you want or do social links

u wot, you visit the castle like four separate times before the game finally lets the training wheels off

I think the worst segment is the week or so before entering Futaba's palace where you can't do shit

It's a roughly 100 hour long game and about 45% of it is dialogue.

>noying hours of talking, pressing x and watching shitty animations.
The game is almost 70% of the game content is just you reading boring ass dialogue. Still don't get how the fuck that this piece of shit got rated so damn high.

>How long does it take for this game to become fun
It doesn't

They really casualized 5. Try persona 2 on the vita. They are all hackable now. Also ppsspp works good on android.

This and the 3 days that you waste just trying to get Kaneshiros name.

>not the segment where Futaba sleeps for 3 weeks straight
>followed by the beach trip
>followed by the Hawaii trip
>followed by Morgana's tantrum
>when you're allowed to actually play the game again it's the worst dungeon in the game

100 hours easily. Get comfy.

This. If you don't already see some parts of it you'll enjoy, just stop now. It's a standard Persona game for combat and gameplay. If you don't love the style, characters, and story so far, it's not going to be your cup of tea.

I beg to differ

My first persona game was P4G on Vita and I didn't liked anything about it. I started appreciating Persona games after I played gems like Strange Journeys and Devil Survivor 2. I began to understand the concept of Persona games and now I'm currently playing P3P. I would say give OP some time or let him play earlier Persona games after 5.

>followed by Morgana's tantrum
This was so fucking stupid.

Its a snoy game so expect movie shit. I got fooled by sniggers once when they were praising yakuza 0 like its botw 2, but it turned out to be movies+ braindead ps3 gameplay.

If you're not enjoying the ride so far, you aren't going to like it later. That's generally how it goes with games.

Having a lot of dialogue does not make the game a visual novel.

just dash attack and wait for arsene to pop up

Untrue. Many good games I hated in the beginning. Recent example= hollow knight.Hated being lost so quit it for a year. Now am at 110% completion.

>How long does it take for this game to become fun?

>Persona 5
>"game"

I hope you like 50 hours of cutscenes.

Even the combat is mostly spent waiting for loading screens and watching excruciatingly slow animations.

>time management isn’t gameplay
What, selecting activities from a menu and watching cutscenes? It's just a watered down version of what other RPGs do.

True, visual novels usually focus on the writing because it's good.

>Hated being lost so quit it for a year
Did yo hate it because you were lost or because you found something wrong with the game?

Because I hated the basic mechanic of being lost in metroidvanias.

bruh just turn your brain off and talk about the stylin' menus and lit asf music

Why would you buy and start playing this game if you're not into JRPGs and VN-like storytelling?

Are you that actual retarded not to research a tiny bit before buying a video game?
