I'm no psychologist, but I think it had something to do with his fucking wife dying.
>goes through a fuckton of bullshit to help save the town from a burning forest
>just learns the love of his life died
the fuck is your problem?
>Losing your wife and expecting to just walk it off
Stupid faggot
are you fucking retarded?
ITT: Autistic OP trying to comprehend human emotion, while anons try to help him.
>Yea Forums is suddenly an expert in psychology
cringily written posts
>help him.
That's not what we're doing here
Summer is coming early this year.
>I have good new and bad news, which do you want to hear first?
Is the absolute worst way that guy could have brought him this information. Like dear god, what an oblivious asshole.
I still remember the first time I experienced this scene, it was very tragical indeed
He was just awkwardly told that his wife gotten eaten.
That's the point. The people of Tazmily have never encountered a tragedy like this, so the guy had absolutely no idea how he was supposed to deliver the bad news, leading to the awkward line.
>cringe
Imagine being surrounded by a buncha fuckin' idiots and having a gay ass twink of a son
I'd try to end that shit when my puss is dead
Ever since his wife died he hasn't been the same
I have to grind every single rare drop present in these games whenever I play them. It doesn't take too long, but shit man.
How does this game fare compared to earthbound?
This, my car was once towed and reacted even worse
Yeah, that's fair. I mean I'd assume they still have a basic understanding of death, but I guess they were the same people who built a sheriff station with a sign out front saying they don't really need it because things are so hunky dory.
So I forget that the whole point is that its a cartoonishly idealistic town come under fire.
Mother 3 has character development and an emotional story.
Earthbound has the best PSI visuals in battle and a toasty atmosphere
fucking bronson
Just started this game the other day. My only regret is that the emulator I'm using doesn't let me time rhythm attacks worth a damn, so I guess I'm just grinding my way through everything to have a chance at later bosses.
They do have a concept of death, since they have their graveyard and a gravekeeper, with zombies that recognize Duster. They just have no concept of sorrow or tragedy associated with death.
In a way, the Tazmily villagers are like stereotypical playful forest spirits, unconcerned with serious matters, children that never grew up. And this was by their own design to prevent the same calamity that destroyed the rest of the world from ever happening again. In the beginning, Leder was the only true adult in the game. And maybe Alec too.
Imagine living in a town where literally nothing happens
Nothing that the towns folk can ever deal with
Now imagine something actually fucking happens and your wife dies and everybody just fucking stands there because they never had this type of disaster before
It's more restrictive, and the theming is more explicit, but it's also more focused and the story is great. Well-tuned difficulty as well. Dialogue is right in line with Earthbound. Clever and interesting down to the smallest NPC. The game opens up a lot more in the later chapters. I prefer Earthbound, but they're both wonderful.
What about the soundtrack?
Same, fuckin Star Pendants in EarthBound are the worst.
It's not actually that important unless you're using the Hard Mode feature Tomato added. Damage dropoff is intense after the first couple hits, so you're only missing out on extra change. You shouldn't need to grind at all.
It's terrific, but because it's GBA, it's heavily compressed. I don't recommend spoiling yourself on it since the tracks fit the scenes so well, but after you've played, check out the cleaned-up versions of the music on Youtube.
he can't have PSI sex anymore
What the fuck was Projered's problem when he cheated on his wife and got his nudes leaked
could you repost that hang rope image since brought him up?
didnt get to save it
Good to know.
Best soundtrack on the GBA.
>something really bad happens to someone you love
>people around keep saying "calm down" or generally trying to stop you from reacting
I hate this shit. Gladly I never had many moments like this, but if I ever do and theres people like that around me I might just take out my rage on them.
>whoever the fuck wrote Earthbound and Mother 3 actually stopped and never made another entry in the series again
I dont understand this shit. Why the best people seem to release one or two wonders and them never touch the media again?
I would understand if they made another one, it turns to be shit and them they never do it again, but I dont get why they release a game like that and dont keep going.
You mean Shigesati Itoi? The main reason why he stopped working on the Mother series is because he didn't want to make it into a franchise like Final Fantasy where he felt compelled to make more and more entries and lose his passion for creating the Mother series in the first place. He felt like Mother 3 was a fitting conclusion to the series, and he left it at that. I think he also stopped because his daughter grew up, and most of his writing centered around his daughter or something, I dunno.
He didn't want it to become his job, and he didn't have anything else to say. If he had to make a fourth entry, it would have been shit guaranteed. Pretty respectable that he knew when to quit in my opinion.
He is ISTP. This personality type has a harder time processing emotions (Fe) as it is their inferior function. ISTP's generally rely on Ti to problem solve and when having to use their lesser developed Fe as a demon function or Anima, it comes out in the explosive form bouts of anger and emotional withdrawl. ENTJ's also may display this behavior, as Se and Fi are their demon cognitive functions.
While I respect that he might just have been done with the series, I still think its a massive waste of talent. Did he seriously not even create another series? When someone is that good at it I doubt he only came up with a single game in his mind.
But well I guess its better than having someone else continue the Mother series and fuck it up.
He created a bass fishing game with Nintendo in 98 but that's really it.
I wish his other works were translated in English
How come dads are always ISTPs?
He does tons of random shit.
I think he's the president of a monopoly club, and has an app for pictures of pets.
Why anyone thinks this game has a good story is beyond me.
I always wonder whether the cancelled N64 version would have had this much soul.
Bronson just made a fucking joke about his ded wife that's what.
I thought he stopped because the development cycle of Mother 3 was infamously long and bad.
