Captain price is cool

Spyro

Uhhhh no. Left has more soul

No, left has nostalgia goggles.

>old = better, hurrrrrr

moron

>people still havent realized soul just means nostalgia factor

zoomers must hang

Seventh gen is literally the most soulless era of gaming. Everything was a massive push for realism without the technology to back it, and it looks like shit.

WE

That's exactly what I said, dumbass.

Well, COD4 aged poorly, that's why the Remaster looks better, it was already a generic shooty shooty FPS, with better graphics it naturally looks more atmospheric.

you said no first which implies theyre not the same thing

Not that left is any better but right looks soulless as shit

>original game is 8gb
>remaster is 87gb and has longer load times

>Everything was a massive push for realism without the technology to back it
You realize this was true for previous gens

there's a lot more emotion in the newer animations. If I can understand what the character is expressing emotionally then I think that's inherently soulful.

Old games who's art direction was simply Cutting Edge Realismâ„¢ do not apply to Soul/Souless memes. There's no creative soul to be lost when you're just trying to make a 1:1 copy of reality.

Oh shut the fuck up

Neither pics in the OP have soul because they're both done to please a think tank of studio executives that follow a checklist of trendy things to shove in a videogame instead of "What should we do? I guess a zombie game. Do your best folks" and current developers just comply like mindless drones because nothing that they produce comes from their soul, their ego, their acumen. We live in the age of McGames.

>Fujiwara said the game was originally targeted towards a core audience and he only expected it to sell around 200,000 copies, before the game went on to sell millions.[19] Mikami said he was "a little worried about how well a horror game would really sell." Anpo said that Capcom did not expect the game to be successful.[6]

This too.

Couldn't even keep his wrinkles consistent, very sloppy.

Yes? It's why old architecture is good.

>muh based jap games
lmao dude

The fact that the CoD games were played by the kids who bullied you in high school doesn't mean the games aren't masterpieces in narrative storytelling and amazing arena shooters. You're lying to yourself if you don't think that CoD4 was made for the sole purpose of having a fun shooter with a compelling narrative. It wasn't geared for success and didn't have a huge budget.
