opfor was shit and gearbox have always sucked ass
he's in stasis or something?
he's the G-Man's nuclear option after he discards Gordon in Epistle Three
While the gearbox part is true, OpFor is better than HL1
No it’s not
Yes it is
Conveyed somewhere where he can do no possible harm and no harm can come to him
What side is he on serious question.
What the fuck is wrong with you retards?
Opposing force is a great game but Half Life has better overall quality because Xen.
If you feel the need to shit on either of these games you must be some kind of manchild butthurt or a newfag, get your shit together.
Hating on Half Life has become cool in recent years, not too sure why.
No it’s not
Im not shitting on half life but i do think OpFor is better. Its just my taste.
Because hating on things that are acclaimed make other people feel "unique".
Yes it is
it actually is
>Okay, Goose 7. Proceed to sector 112 LZ and rendezvous with Alpha Bravo Tango. Over.
Based retards
Easy way to spot casuals and disregard their opinions. No problem.
>tfw prospekt is canon
no, HL1 definitely has better level design and is an all-around tighter game.
OpFor better than Half Life
lol no at retards who say this. OpFor is a great expansion but the difference in level design quality is VERY noticeable
Xen was the worst part of Half-Life.
Has anyone here ever played the Opposing Force multiplayer? One part about it, the barnacle grapple, is really cool and way ahead of the time. Check out some maps where the barnacle was used as a main focus; it has these cool levels based around swinging and all kinds of maneuverability. I really should make a webm to demonstrate this for the zoomers.
opforce is fucking thrash all the way through. there are no good parts
His brother deserved the spotlight more.
His objective was to help catch Freeman, but since the mission becomes FUBAR (being injured, failing to evacuate, being attacked by special operatives and new aliens, Freeman escaping) he is basically fighting for himself and the rest of the humans left behind to contain to base.
FYI, the aliens in Opposing Force are unique to that game and never appear in the rest of the Half-Life canon.
>The aliens of Race X have no relation to those of Xen, and as such did not cooperate with them during the Black Mesa Incident. The Resonance Cascade probably affected portals linked to their world, allowing them to teleport into the Black Mesa facility in great numbers; Some apparently teleported into Xen as well. They might also have used the Gene Worm portal, which may have been the original portal to the Race X homeworld in Black Mesa.

So, essentially he DID stop a (different) alien invasion from entering Earth.
Xen was the best part of Half-Life.
"Hating" on the muh cinematic/immersive/whatever experience was from day one. And it did popularize that shit with unfortunate consequences we can readily observe in 90+% FPS (and other genres, even) today.
Otherwise it was always a very enjoyable shooter. Deathmatch was top tier back in the day as well.
