I just mean in that Rebecca doesn't usually pack lethal weaponry, while the others do. I can reasonably understand how Weisz and Homura could beat their opponent Dark Stars, and Shiki already demonstrated how to wipe out Wizard.

Read any of Mashima's interviews, afterwords etc. The bloke was having an absolute blast with it, and it was what lead to it being such a huge success. EZ newfags trying to rewrite history kek.

The characters of EZ are it's biggest downfall, especially when you pit then against the FT counterparts. It's easily my biggest complaint of the series.

Of course him having a blast was what led him to cruise beyond the initial 10-volume length estimation before realizing it. But don't pretend that there wasn't burnout just because he loved it.
