They pretty much followed the UC timeline of robot development. Robots got smaller and more sleek as they marched down their development line, so they think Leon's robot is some old hunk of trash when it's a broken-ass cash shop robot.

In the original otome game, she was the villainess that stands in the way of the MC and Julian. She's the prince's fiance, who couldn't handle the Prince dating someone else, freaked out, and got herself exiled. I'm assuming the poor treatment comes from that. Even with Oliva booted out of the picture, Marie fills the MC role, and Angelica is still getting in the way. Thing is, at least what I've seen from the manga and anime, she wasn't all that villainous. People like Clara and the earl's daughter treated Olivia much worse, and Angelica herself doesn't ever do anything as bad as pre-head bump Katarina in Hamefura. Maybe Leon's and Marie's interference changed things before Angelica actually did anything bad, but yeah, it seems excessive for little cause.

Only we see that Angelica is just being a loyal fiance that distrusts some nameless hick girl who shows up and finesses the prince Angelica had spent her entire life preparing to marry and serve.
