I find a lot of the time, the people who focus on the "aesthetics" of classic anime tend not to watch a lot of classic anime and post the same good-looking things over and over again.

On a different note, the designs in this OVA are very cute, I like it a lot.

Because cel threads are made by and attract circlejerkers who don't actually have anything to discuss and have only watched 2 shows made before 2000, so they need to post their saved screenshots constantly so it doesn't die while hoping that someone else will generate a real discussion.

Yeah pretty much that. It's kind of like they are nostalgic for one game they played in the 00's or the 90's. But have zero appreciation for the industry as a whole. They only see the good and filter the bad in their heads.
