Hanami and Dagon both assure Jogo that they can still place their faith in Mahito to carry on their will. BUT WAIT! Dagon is still in his curse womb form! He died in a different more articulate form so his soul should reflect that if it was really happening. Dagon looks like this because that is how he looked that last time Jogo saw him! This whole scene must have been entirely in Jogo's head!

The OP Cursed techniques are supposed to be genetic and specific to birth. So why does sukuna's techniques even work when he's the pilot when Yuji's body isn't his?
Like this either means Yuji is his long, long, long, long , distant descendant In the same way that Yuta is related to Gojo. Or the cat forgot he made Gojo go on about that at the start, or establishing how siblings in the same house don't have the same outcomes in cursed techniques anyways, he's prioritizing rule of cool over world building.
To be fair I'm also pretty tired of the "born special" trope in MC's and it'd annoy me if Yuji's sukuna's descendant too on top of being Kenny's customized Sukuna Jar. I'd rather Yuji win or loose by his own merit, not his birth circumstances or lineage that he has 0 control or say over.

That is what I was saying. I agree, it is proof that Yuji doesn't have a technique. However, the fact that Yuji doesn't have a C.T. doesn't affect the fact that Jogo did not speak to the real Dagon. Something strange must be happening.
Sukuna using his technique while using Yuji's body is not exactly a plot hole because that is how all Curse Objects work when ingested. It's just that they usually totally overwrite the vessel. The distinction here is that Yuji's body doesn't get overwritten. Except the tattoos do appear to indicate some change has happened to Yuji's body. That distinction is interesting to me. Hopefully Yuji is not a descendent of Sukuna

It's weird that the Clans are predisposed to certain Tech but Tech in general do not closely follow other genetic rules. I guess it's better not to think of it as genetics but simply as having a certain bloodline gives you a bit better chance of getting certain tech, low enough so e. g. Gojo Clan has been rolling this gacha for hundreds of years with little success but high enough for them to be sure they will succeed eventually. When Sukuna takes over control, Yuji's body morphs to resemble his more closely, same as the body morphing during usual incarnations, see the tattoos, extra eyes, and so on. Presumably, the circuitry within the body that corresponds to Sukuna's CT is also manifested at such times.
