I agree that he peaked with Fire Punch, but his other works have come close on several occasions. Look Back and Goodbye Eri have both been the closest as they are more cohesive than Chainsaw Man. CSM also has individual arcs or moments that are up there, but it lacks something as a package to rival Fire Punch.

If you look at GOT, it was one of the most discussed series of all time until the end. Just like SNK, which reached a very high level that no manga had reached before, even non-manga readers watched the series. You can say that a work is of quality when it is so popular.

Isayama has a very low self-esteem I think, he calls himself a loser in interviews. He made a GOT in the end and it's unfortunate.
