Every time a character in this show got randomly murdered it was unusually amusing. Like, there are some kills in this show that are flat-out funny.
7th season is still soiled.
Remember when Savage Opress brutally killed a Jedi by impaling him and then killed the Jedi's child Padawan by force pushing him into a wall really hard?
And he was a good friend.
Bad Batch too. Replacing Delta Force with Task Force 99 was such a mistake
>Introduce Savage as a brutal beast who can murder Jedi without a lightsaber
>Next episode has him immediately start jobbing and go rogue
This shows pacing is wild
>Sharkman gets blown up
>His head just floats in front of the camera
Laughed hard
>have Maul unite the mandalorians and all the underworld groups into some third faction to join the clone wars and hype it up a lot
>all his allies immediately abandon him the moment they get bombed
well at least the outcome was realistic
I’m not gonna kill a thread so I might as well put this here: is it just me or does the Bad Batch just feel like some Sonic-tier fanfic? Maybe I’m just not the target the audience but man it just feels kinda lame. Maybe I’m just too old and cynical to appreciate the direction SW is heading.
Nah, I feel much the same.
They ever shoe-horned in a super special OC chick.
It's straight up fanfic-tier.
Filoni is basically making fanfic for his favorite characters and OCs
Huh? He still controlled the underworld long after the war ended.
Bad Batch are Lucas characters.
2D one was infinitely better.
>"alright here's the master stratagem, we'll surrender and then capture the enemy general when he comes to accept it"
the Jedi had it coming honestly
>3D Clone Wars
Mehhhhh.
They still need to cover that period because we see him in control in Solo but then in Rebels his looking for sith artifacts while avoiding inquisitors
Genndy wars is just zomglightsabersexplosionsdragonballz. TCW had actual character development and input from Lucas.
B-BUT HIS ARMS!
HE HAS EIGHT ARMS WITH A LIGHTSABER IN EACH HAND THAT ARE ALL DIFFERENT COLORS AND HE KNOWS ALL THE FORMS AND STOMPS JEDI AND IS THE BESTEST FIGHTER EVER
HE'S SO FUCKING COOL HOLY SHIT
Grievous had character development in TCW? Like running faster?
>TCW had actual character development
Not half as much development as Gendy's, and Genndy's actually ties in with the how the films portray the characters and complements their development whereas 3D outright contradicts the films.
>seven fucking seasons
>even people that like it admit there's about ten good episodes
What the fuck is wrong with star wars fans that they line up to eat, and defend eating, shit?
This but unironically.
Anakin had exactly 0 (zero) character development in TCW. TCW was little more than "Ahsoka: The Show" even though there appears to be another one with that very same title on the horizon from yidsney
Compare
>2003

I also really love the scene after the vision where we see Anakin becoming extreme and violent against the Techno Union. youtu.be
It's completely understandable, and justifiable given how Anakin is at his limit, has seen the horrors the Union have inflicted on the planets inhabitants, and has gone through immense physical and psychological pain as well. Yet it perfectly shows that these extremes are horrifying in their own right, and will lead to his fall to the dark side.
>falling for Republic propaganda.
The CIS was right, and did nothing wrong.
Palpy killed his brother and left him the moment Maul was starting doing good.
Maul literally became a schizo afterwards
The general EU timeline is a lot more cohesive and respectable than the Disneyverse. The EU version of the clone wars, maybe minus CW 2003 itself, feels a lot more in-line with what is shown in the movies. Anakin being a padawan for the majority of it and slowly growing up into Episode 3 Anakin is also way better than him magically becoming so over the course of the like, month, in between AotC and TCW.
until like season 2 or 3, Filoni and Lucas considered 03 Clone Wars canon to 07 TCW
I like it. Shit be wild like that.
>hey guys luke is still technically the last jedi because ashoka was on sabbatical
>it totally doesn't cheapen the originals guys
>meeeeeheeehmmmmm meeeem heeheeem guys
>Obi Wan and Asajj unite against Maul and Savage and lose
>Obi Wan with 2 sabers wins against both, cuts off Savage's hand and forces them both to flee
i have no idea what they're doing at all now
even filoni's fanfic is weird and aimless
and no one gives a shit who last jedi is or the concept
>Anakin totally had a padawan who somehow survived both the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil war, and is a totally awesome non-Jedi force user
Fuck Ahsohka, she is every bit as Mary Sue as Rey.
yes?
you do realize people can improve and fights can sometimes go any way, right?
Obi got lucky and cut off one of savage's arms then used that opportunity to put the pressure on maul just as the pirates got put under their captain's command
shit happens
eh
name one actual legit accomplishment beyond just being around
Didn't another jedi die causing him to flip his shit? I always thought it was a dark side amp. Kind of how Luke managed to beat a conflicted Vader by giving in to the darkside.
Savage HORNED that one black jedi master, yeah. I think the close space he fought them in really worked to his advantage, being agile and slim in comparison.
>Sliced Vader's mask open, which means she probably could've killed him right there if she wanted
>Inherited the soul of the light side goddess
>Made the entire Jedi Council look like fools and got their apologies, was offered knighthood at 17
>Survived a Grievous encounter at 14 (reminder that he was indeed supposed to be a Jedi killer)
>Survived arguably the worst possible order 66 scenario possible, even untranced a clone
>First SW character with a white lightsaber in live action
>Duel-wielded lightsabers starting at age 16
Is the only character in Star Wars to both be divinely ressurected and time travel
>Has more chemistry with Anakin than his wife
Oh yeah, and she beat Darth Maul in a no-nonsense duel at 17 while being at least 6 months out of practice
>>Sliced Vader's mask open, which means she probably could've killed him right there if she wanted
nope
>Inherited the soul of the light side goddess
they're still not addressing anything related to that or clarifying what the bird means
also, at best, the mortis gods are extreme manifestations of the force or ascended force users of some sort
>Made the entire Jedi Council look like fools and got their apologies, was offered knighthood at 17
That was Barris' fault. Ahsoka's been in the order since she was a child. In comparison, Anakin got promoted way sooner.
>Survived a Grievous encounter at 14 (reminder that he was indeed supposed to be a Jedi killer)
Valid complaint.
>Survived arguably the worst possible order 66 scenario possible, even untranced a clone
debatable
an open battlefield like mundi's would be an absolute shitfest
>First SW character with a white lightsaber in live action
I suppose windu's purple was mary sue ish
>Duel-wielded lightsabers starting at age 16
Eh? This is more an issue of dual-wielding never being used outside of EU shit.
>Is the only character in Star Wars to both be divinely ressurected and time travel
Mortis was still a vision but the time travel thing is valid.
>Has more chemistry with Anakin than his wife
woah there, pedo
youtube.com
that is literally all horrible garbage
This is the single biggest valid one, but that fight was fire, and Maul was outright waiting to die.
>Not in my eye master
Somebody reads JonK Pe-ta.
Didn't Maul win and try to convince her to join him only for her to take advantage of it?
>Maul was outright waiting to die.
He was not, or else he wouldn’t have done any of the shit he did in that arc. Maul is a lot of things, but he doesn’t just accept a shitty outcome without a fight.
I think that happened.
>"Let me go. Let me die! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING! WE ARE ALL GOING TO BURN! WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!"
do you think this man was in his right mind?
The whole point of him being on Mandalore was to try and prevent Palpatine’s rise. He only got suicidal when he lost that fight because he thought that meant he was fucked anyway. As soon as he had a fighting chance again, he was on top of things.
>Eh? This is more an issue of dual-wielding never being used outside of EU shit.
I was always under the impression that duel-wielding is supposed to be a lot harder/more dangerous than just one since none of the masters ever use it and Anakin immediately got his hand chopped off the one time he tried it.
>>Inherited the soul of the light side goddess
Why do I never see anyone bring up the narrative weight of making Anakin literally bring Ahsoka back to life, when the main conflict of Episode III hinges on his fear of seeing Padme die?
Even if he got mind wipped right at the end, the fact we saw a main character get ressurected on-screen throws the entire thematic significance of Anakin's arc into the bin.
Not really. An extra blade means more ways to maneuver and attack but limits the power you have. Great for deflecting blaster fire and killing mooks but opens you up to being overpowered. Vader throws her around like a doll and Maul outright knocks a saber out of her hand.
because that actually didn't happen.
Last time I checked we are supposed to take the Mortis Arc at 100% face value.
it's supposed to be ambiguous
>gone for a literal second by everyone else's eyes
>ship is undamaged
>retain memories
bruh
Says who
literally anyone with a brain
This nuisance of a show aged like shit because Disney took it as a templay for their retarded canon. All the infantilization of the new Star Wars material can be traced back to it. Not to mention it shoved all of Filloni's horrible self-insert characters into OT era, making TCW seem even more insufferable.
He also kept kicking Savage's shin till it broke so he used that opening to win
good catch
