Why is "we live in a society" so popular in cartoon in comics?

Social commentary has been popular for a while, and tends to gain even more popularity when there's a period of social unrest.

>Social commentary has been popular for a while
Well you ain't wrong

its babies first social commentary for pseudo intellectuals, and those are the only people being hired to make cartoons and comics.

This again?

It grabs attention kinda like this thread

The problem is these characters attacks innocents instead of those who wronged them. A tragic villain is still a villain. Being understandable is not the same as being justified.

>A tragic villain is still a villain.
You're missing the point of this very simple comic you retarded autist

the bad guy is kinda cute ngl

But would you dick him down?

maybe

Attached: f50.jpg (680x678, 33.25K)

The point is that the villain was stopped. He may have had understandable motives and a sad history, or he may have been set on this path by forces outside his control, or he may have just been an asshole. None of that excuses his various misdeeds or makes the decision to stop him from continuing to hurt innocent people the morally wrong choice.

>If I just say the same shit I said in my last post but use more words I win.
My god how dumb are you, the comic isn't trying to excuse the villains actions you retarded autist it's saying the source of the problem is ignored and there will just be another villain.

There’s nothing there faggot. It’s just a black blob. Stop jerking off to porn so much

But thats the problem user. Even if they say that the source of the problem needs to be fixed they never do. They're hypocrites.

>they never do
Yes that's what the comic is complaining about what's your point?

That they shouldn't complain if they're not gonna fix it.

>That they shouldn't complain
wait whose they in this case are you fucking complaining that the author of this comic doesn't fix fictional worlds?

>A tragic villain is still a villain. Being understandable is not the same as being justified.

Hitler is good example

You're just trying to start shit aren't you

>the initial problem which caused this issue is never adressed
Because the villain didn't do anything to try and fix the problem, just went straight to powering up and trying to get revenge. Not the Hero's problem if you don't want to try to fix your problems as their current problem is you doing bad things.

If you were bullied, you deserve it for being weak. The weak exist to be bullied by the strong, and if you dare to try rising above your station, you should be bullied harder. Your place in society is to be picked on by the real people, and the sooner you accept that, the better. Might makes right, bitch.

What if the victim was stronger and the bullies just had a numerical advantage

Then the victim was weak for not seeing the strength in numbers. Easy.

The comic is still retarded because the problem that made the bad guy evil IS adressed in most cases; Its a strawman.

The bullies are always in the right. Don't upset the status quo. Don't defend yourself. Know your place. You exist to be hurt. You don't matter. You are worthless. Nobody cares about you, and nobody should care about you. You are less than human. You are a walking punching bag. Your only value is the pain you can feel.

Retarded comic

Because most modern people carry with them the guilt of having done bad shit or being selfish, irate and vain with them, and rather than expunge their misdeeds with good deeds or at least confesion, they make excuses. Excuses turn into justifications, and feeling justified for doing wrong things is just encouraging yourself to do more of them and soon enough you build an entire ideology about how you are a gigantic fuckup because society and you need to plant bombs and burn down the system so you can finally be happy.

Tragic bad guys are just a depiction of the perfect strawman this mindset creates. Just utter separation of the individual and their actions, because SOCIETY. Its no coincidence they kill innocents by the droves with zero consequences either, after all, individuals who aren't them don't matter.

>Because most modern people carry with them the guilt of having done bad shit or being selfish, irate and vain with them, and rather than expunge their misdeeds with good deeds or at least confesion, they make excuses
The irony of this post you're the one getting mad at stories simply expecting you to feel a little empathy for your fellow man.

You are defying your place in society. That is an unforgivable crime. Don't fight back. You exist to be hurt. You exist to suffer. Me strong. Me good. Me like hurt people. Make me feel better about me self.

>modern people
ah yes I forgot what saints the romans

Please leave.

Kys

Try and stop me bitch.

>i was bullied
>then i got superpowers
>then i tried to shoot up the school
>it's not fair that i got beaten up
why not do literally anything other than give people an actual reason to kick your ass

Thank, so right-wings deserve being bullied

the lesson is not to be a bitter asshole for the rest of your life just because you had a shitty childhood, get over it

People like this poster are often two faced about this belief believe it or not. On Twitter, they say the exact of opposite, but this post is their true self. I know this because some are dumb enough to sperg this out in the open on Twitter when the get tilted enough. See so called journalists advocating bullying.

Fuck you guys. I was stronger than my bullies and they only picked on me because of how mad it made me and that they could just run away. Every time I snuck up and twisted their arm they'd always eventually be replaced by some other little shits.

Hey, that's Alex Law's artstyle. Haven't heard of her in a while. What's she's up to these days?

>The problem is these characters attacks innocents instead of those who wronged them
This. I was literally rooting for The Riddler until he had to blow up the sea wall for no real reason.

you wouldn't say that to my face you pussy

>I was bullied by assholes so that gives me the right to bully others
No. It's not the heroes' job to helicopter parent all of society and micromanage every negative interaction you have in life

>innocents
Systemic oppression...

>The problem is these characters attacks innocents instead of those who wronged them. A tragic villain is still a villain. Being understandable is not the same as being justified.

Hitler wasn't oppressed or bullied even once in his entire life.

Right winger are the bullies lmao.

>The bullies are always in the right. Don't upset the status quo. Don't defend yourself. Know your place. You exist to be hurt. You don't matter. You are worthless. Don't be a stupid faggot. No one is saying bullies are entitled to be dickheads. We're saying most victims don't turn into absolutely crybaby tyrants the first time they get a taste of power. Lots of people have shit childhoods, but if your first instinct upon achieving some sort of superpower, magical spellbook or other enchanted artifact is to start destroying the world, there was something fucked up about you to begin with regardless of your life experiences.
"You better be nice to me otherwise I'm gonna make you all suffer!" is how immature narcissists go through life. It's no different from some road rager who whips out a gun and shoots another motorist because they're mad they got cut off in traffic. Injustice gathering is textbook psychopathic behavior, and I don't feel sorry for any "misunderstood" villain because you're supposed to take negative experiences in life and learn from them to be a better person and not become a bitter, spiteful terrorist.

All these responses are blithering retards talking about how it's morally right to bully people. They're so busy justifying their sadistic schadenfreude, that they don't recognize the real criticism.

A story has a problem, in this case a villain. The villain is a villain because of grievance. The answer the plot gives the reader is not a serious solution to the problem, but in fact encourages people to do something completely irrelevent to the problem or possibly to do something which incites that problem. This story then, which usually purports to have themes and a moral, in fact does not, and wears the pretense of not being a total waste of time, when it is. Stories justify themselves with their lessons and morals, otherwise they are just escapist hedonism. Without addressing the initial problem, the comic actually has no value besides being a masturbation aid.

Everyone has a cross to bear, user. Just don’t let it make you someone bad.

Is that why they cry about libGODs excluding them from things 24/7?

>not making friends with other misfit supervillains who also have tragic backstories
What was he thinking?

>we live in a society
Eleutheromaniacs can't fathom the reality that government isn't going away. If they do, it's while taking their own weight in copium.

Men experience the world through objectivity and thus the visual medium appeals to them more. Most critical successful male authors wrote before the invention of film.

Women take an inside-out approach where they prefer literature because they can only see the world through a emphatic filter. Hence why women prefer to read porn for instance.

Thus comics as a combination represent feminine men. All comic books contain a world view of trying to make the objective subjective in order to spare the loser other with the pain of adapting to an objective portrayal of reality. Hence there capacity for fantasy and superheroes.
