yes its a confy show

Jeeze SMG was pretty ugly. I never got the appeal.

would u fug alyson hannigan lads

It’s great. Some of the earlier episodes may look cheap and dated as hell by today’s standards but if you can look past that, it’s a a really good experience.

I did lots of cum to these two growing up

>Is it worth watching
Yes.
>in 2020?
Maybe not.

Buffy is a boring character, never even wanted to fuck her. Willow master race

>you will never un-lesbian un-zoophiliac Willow
Sadeth lyfe, why doth you tortureth meth.

Bet you liked Angel though.

no it's a stupid fantasy show for young adults

Seasons 1-3

One of the greatest TV shows ever made. Angel is also pretty awesome, modern shows are garbage by comparison

Attached: Buffy and Faith.jpg (640x480, 37K)

>Is it worth watching in 2020?
If this is the question you ask, no.

In my personal head canon that spell Willow used to stop herself from loving Xander made her a lesbian.

She's a cute girl next door type and she has nice feet. However she did not age well

Yes. It's inventive, the scripts are smart and funny, and there are hot chicks. What's not to love?

Of course it depends on the kind of TV you like. When I first got the season 1 I kept it on as background noise. It felt like power rangers but for adults, and I was the kind of teenager who woudl ocassionally marathon power rangers for the nostalgia.

It wasn't until episode 11 that I thought 'hey, this is going somewhere'. It was an episoe about nightmares and dealt with more serious issues of the characters. As soon as I finished season 1 I was curious about more, so I ran off and bought season 2. Season 2 is a million times better from the get go and immediately acknowledges that they are going to take the story in a much more emotional direction. Not sad per se, just that the crux of the series will be human journeys. Half way through it really kicks its over arching seasonal plot into high gear and from there its an amazing show. Not just for season 2, but season 3 and 4 and 5, a little dip in 6, and then it brings it back for season 7.

The show is seasonal. Details of course carry over from one season to the next, but every season has its own plot, its wrapped up, and in most seasons the series could end there and it would be considered okay.

The characters are funny, the 90s lingo is fun, but it fades away almost entirely by season 3, which is kind of the height of the show for most fans. If you appreciate the format of 'monster of the week', they do a lot of cool stuff with it, and if you like the more modern idea of over arching stories and continuity, it has that as well. It popularized the format of episodic plots building into the bigger story.

The finales are some of the best I've ever seen in TV. Cheap? sure, but unlike todays TV they don't use the finales, as a general rule, to set up the next season. They use them as an epic conclusion to both the physical plot and the emotional journey a character went on.

To me, it has been hard to find a show that ever compared in terms to how 'complete' this show feels while maintaining quality.

This, season 1 is a monster of the week show but it picks up in a big way.

The Xander episodes in S1 are pretty great, mostly the Horny teacher that eats virgins and demonic zoo hyena episodes. The rest are borderline skippable.

It's pretty good, but be careful I think the blu ray remaster was a cluster fuck that.

yes

Attached: qyhgjsf95bk41.jpg (1080x1350, 169K)

yeah half the episodes are just easy to skip 'intro to this character on a deeper level' episodes that can be ignored. It's the only season I actually skip episodes from on a rewatch. after that though its fuckig kino.

It realyl spoiled me. Maybe its because it was the first show I saw so I held it in higher regard but despite the low budget and cheesy atmosphere it was extremely well written in terms of overall structure. Not without issues but it felt like how TV should be, just really well planned and actually enjoyable. Most TV feels like a chore just to enjoy a couple bad seasons to see how it ends and ultimately be disappointed.

My nigga.

If buffy was better looking the show would have been way more kino

It's weird. I can't point to any unattractive feature but she somehow manages to be the sexual equivalent of cardboard anyway

I prefer Angel and Supernatural for this niche, but this is about right.

The hottest she ever looked on the show.

Attached: eMYItcd[1].gif (285x472, 2.33M)

I have spanked it to this show more than anything else including porn. Faith especially just does it for, with her mean angry white trash skank attitude

Attached: eliza-dushku-as-faith-in-buffy-the-vampire-slayer.jpg (468x600, 137K)

She was so underused in the show. One season and a couple guest spots for another four seasons. I guess she wanted a movie career but she should've stayed on the show much longer or joined Angel.

>We never got a spinoff where Faith, Wesley and Illyria team up
Fuck this timeline

>Joss kept asking for it
>Eliza dushku said no
>UPN would have picked it up immediately
>even FX was pretty much guaranteed to try it since they signed a contract for her
>instead we got dollhouse
not that I don't love it but damn, faith as a series woudla been great.

I'm not sure about her being underused though. I think her returning to buffy in season 7 could have been more climactic, but after season 3 seeing more of her just didn't feel right.

So now that Joss has admitted to sleeping with women when he became a big TV producer (buffy) who do you think actually went to bed wit him?

I want to say Alyson Hanigan, but they are almost TOO close for the affair to work. Almost definitely slept with the girl who played Harmony right. She even made it onto the main credits in the last half of the last season, she clearly had some dirt on him to keep coming back when shes such an uggo

She did that Fox show Tru Calling instead. Could you imagine Faith on FX airing with The Shield? They really could've gone dark with the show. Would've been kino. Dumb bitch.

Attached: 1463785757043.webm (1280x720, 911K)

Tru Calling was garbage, as was the few movies she made around that time. Only memorable thing she's done since Buffy is her nude scene in Banshee on Cinemax.

Yes, first season will feel dated but after that it’s timeless.

It has its moments but 9/11 really killed comfy television for a generation. S1-5 are great, the rest... less so

Attached: I ordered one and they gave me two.jpg (419x450, 38K)

Most of season 1 is pretty dull but I love the Hyena episode and the one where Willow's internet boyfriend is a demon who turns into a computer monster.

Which season is it where Buffy straight up murders her mother's boyfriend in cold blood because she doesn't like not being the centre of attention but luckily he turns out to have been a robot all along?

those are legit the two episodes I skip every time.

Nah.
Honestly it wasn't that good back then, 2bh

Season 6 has grown on me, S7 is trash tho

Attached: 1464996678310.webm (1920x1078, 2.95M)

Season 2 I think, Ted. It wasn't about being the center of attention though, it was about the uncomfortable invasion of a newcomer into your home who was trying to parent you.

Season 2. Episode called Ted.

S2, the episode is Ted featuring John Ritter

It was another episode where Buffy knew something was wrong and nobody believed her.

I watched the first three episodes before dropping it. 90s monster of the week trash.

Now I just watch the compilation where Alyson Hannigan talks about spanking when I fap.

Attached: buffy.gif (500x205, 1000K)

The only lasting memory of that show that I have is Buffy bouncing on Spike's dick.

Somebody is a shitty stepparent.

There is nothing wrong with motw

Why do you act like you are informed when you clearly are not? Why bother commenting on things you are ignorant of? Is your need to be heard really that overwhelming?

I don't know, the main villains being normies using magic for rape and murder was a little too real for the setting. It makes the previously fun episodes with the robot Buffy or Jonathan's hijinks come across as being in extremely poor taste.
Consider the difference between campus rape analogy episode Hush and the one where the Trio hypnotises that girl to be their sex slave and then murder her. Heavy handed and artistically bankrupt but also just deeply unnerving. Especially given what we now know about Joss's casting couch.

>SMG was pretty ugly. I never got the appeal

Attached: neckbeard.png (237x322, 162K)

The Trio and the extremely depressing tone really bring down all of S6. S7 has the fucking annoying potentials for about half the season. Would rather watch S7. Johnathan was okay by himself but with those two other faggots it was unbearable.

Season 7 just threw way too many useless new characters into the mix. I would still consider it better than season 4 though. Everything about that season from boring ass Riley to the underwhelming main villain just feels like a huge misstep.

>Riley the Slayer Layer
>Anything other than based
Yeah, no

It makes me sad to think of what teenagers have to watch nowadays instead.

they think that shit like doctor who is good

college is a much better setting and way to introduce new ideas than everyone working at a witch shop though.

The "main plot" might have been weaker ( I don't think so) but the episodic episodes and allegory episodes were much better. One of Buffy's great strengths is turning normal highschool situations into monsters and they were able to continue that in college e.g. the episode with Buffy's paranoia towards her room-mate who turned out to be a demon after all. the later setting doesn't lend itself to interesting stories or idea quite as readily.

She was incredible at 18 then she went through that weird second puberty Jews go through.

Attached: sarah_michelle_gellar_22.jpg (1696x2400, 284K)

alyson > sarah

Faggot... (she a dog now tho)

yes

its a comfy show with hot chicks and lots of sexual tension, i would say its worth it for the most part.

>who do you think actually went to bed wit him?

Attached: 1526180797271.gif (500x200, 997K)

Dushku is basically confirmed but I'd put a significant amount of money of Charisma Carpenter based on the way he treated her in Angel, presumably when she cut him off. You can extrapolate how he writes his characters to eliminate a few possibilities like Hanigan or Acker but beyond that it's anyone's guess. I wonder about SMG though. I hope to god Trachtenberg and Glau were too young for him but I'm unsure there

Giv buffy gf now

Attached: 1553722752659.webm (1920x1080, 1.29M)

its not very good. some eps are interesting but the overall story is meh. it was perfect for its time and for the age group it was going for but unless you fall for the characters it has nothing for you

I was actually disappointed there were not enough pics of her from that time.

It's a Faith episode

Attached: 1580073474835.png (693x601, 259K)

>ywn have Faith
Cruel world

>Its a Faith episode

Attached: 1580073474835.png (693x601, 259K)

S6's existence means Willow and Tara share the spot of absolutely worst girl.
It's not even a contest

watched it years ago

i think it goes to shit at like season 5 when it started taking itself more seriously got pretty melodramatic

look at alyson hannigan again and you tell me

No. A lot of bearded nu males will insist it's GENIUS but they literally liked it because it was quippy, it practically invented that insufferable quippy style that Gen Xers have put into so many movies of the last couple decades.

just a shame, she whent overboard with the training in the later seasons, and lost her tits and ass

>SMG was pretty ugly
Do you prefer LMGs?

>OH NO YOU CAN'T MAKE QUIPS YOU HAVE TO BE SERIOUS AND DARK

Imagine being Joss Whedon, raping and raping and raping, and getting away with it.

Given Hannigan married Wesley's actor, I'd doubt it's her. He'd be at least aware of rumours on set.
Dushku seems the most likely given how often Whedon went to her

If you can handle it's somewhat dated experience now then yeah. It's very much a product of it's time, but that doesn't make it any less good. It just means you have to shrug some things off when Buffy says or does something that seems wildly out of character for women leads now.

and the lesson was to be the kid that throws a tantrum, so they can out themselves as evil and your mom can stay unhappy forever?

No one cares. Season 6 actually making you uncomfortable is fantastic. It's well written and I don't give a shit what rich actors, directors, writers and other fuckheads are doing. Just give me good shows. I don't care how many massive gangbangs took place behind the scenes.

I'd lick her asshole today

More specifically the uh "interest" he took in her career outside Buffy. Look up the Wrong Turn story, guy went off the deep end when he found out she was doing her own thing.
Also, watching Dollhouse is pretty interesting once you know the premise was her idea and Joss just ran with it, really explains a lot of the thematic inconsistencies.

If it were actually good I'd be with you, but it's not. The writing was god awful and ham fisted "rape bad" stories are bad enough by themselves but it's a lot worse coming from a guy who'd go on the get blacklisted for metooing

Hamfisted maybe, but somehow season 6 I just find really entertaining and more rewatchable than any other season. It's definitely not as good as the earlier seasons, so it's hard to explain.

for me, it's Cordelia

Attached: Buffy 02x11 - Ted.mkv_snapshot_29.37_[2016.12.16_00.22.56].jpg (704x480, 60K)

6 probably has the best individual episodes combined with the most underwhelming arcs. Similar to 4, really.

Liked her on Buffy but she was pointless and obnoxious on Angel

I guess you're entitled to your wrong opinion

How many times have you blown it to SMG lads?
Me? At least 200.

600+, and that's being conservative. I have several fantasies that I've fapping on the reg for many years. Most of them involve Faith and Buffy domming and humiliating me

I have watched it for the first time in 2014 and it was great, I have really enjoyed it, many cute girls too, though this show doesn't find it's footing until like middle of season 2, early Buffy was really bad and you gotta watch like 20 shit episodes before it gets any good

>Angel and Supernatural
Good taste. Buffy and those two make my top 3 genre shows. Hell, shows in general.

It'll turn you into a Plebbitor.

zero times but i've dumped a thousand buckets of cum to alyson hannigan

TBF he did attack her first.

How many episodes of Buffy are there? I figure each one is about 45 minutes so that's 9 times per episode. I'd do the math myself but I'm too busy cooming

>when Buffy says or does something that seems wildly out of character for women leads now

Attached: slut buffy.webm (842x480, 187K)

Why are the dumb bully girls always the best characters

Name one (1) good Buffy character who was first introduced after season 3

Protip: you can't

Attached: 5836335-8a47234ac4abf114ffae186be300b89a.jpg (495x750, 151K)

Has there ever been any other good show with worse first season than Buffy?

Honestly, even Star Trek: The Next Generation didn't start as awkwardly

Overrated villian, though I agree that she's not as annoying as Riley, Tara, Dawn, Adam or any of S7 Slayers

orry but TNG's first season was worse, and at least Buffy season 1 is mercifully short.

We'll have to disagree on that, thought she was the best villain the show had except maybe for Angelus. She's like Cordelia if Cordelia was thousands of years old and had super strength, great shit

Attached: 940a423f145cf4645202281ae90bf3d5--buffy-the-vampire-slayer-los-angeles.jpg (485x739, 92K)

Charisma was lined up to play Buffy but then that role went to SMG. I'd guess SMG hopped on his dick first, then Charisma hopped on later to catch up.

Tranny lol

Attached: source.gif (500x217, 592K)

What do you mean wildly out of a character for a female lead? Wouldn't that depend on the character? I admit Joss was often a try hard in proving his grrrl power cred, but this was also an action comedy and the character was supposed to have moments of vulnerability.

Never heard of second Jewish puberty. SMG looks just like one of my cousins at 18. She's part Italian. Maybe it's a med thing?

Season 4 is underrated, it's hated because it was the troubled season that came after the show's best season and yeah it had many problems like college being a less interesting setting than high school, main plot feeling like afterthought, weakest main villian yet, some of the S1-3 cast members leaving and being replaced by dull Riley and Tara, but S4 also had many very strong individual episodes, also it was by far the funniest season, it's honestly my favourite one after S3

He probably means that current year female action heroines aren't permitted to have moments of vulnerability, they have to be perfectly in control at all times

I love the one where Jonathan becomes the greatest and most famous man on Earth

Like when her life turns to shit and she just starts fucking the pain away. FUCK DA PAIN AWAY>SUCKING ON DEZ TITTIES

It's so sad Disney bought Fox. They might of done a proper HD master of the show down the road. Disney probably wont do one.

The title card changing confused me so much the first time I saw it, I'd honestly forgotten who Jonathan was so I thought I'd accidentally tuned into a cringe fan film or something

>I love the one where Jonathan becomes the greatest and most famous man on Earth
For some reason normies hate that episode, on imdb it's 7th lowest rated Buffy episode out of 145

ratingraph.com/tv_shows/buffy_the_vampire_slayer-63983/

Yes, but skip Season 6.

They have a character and get characterization, while the main girl is always some blurry self-insert without real character.

yes

Season 6 had the best Buffy's episode though

The musical is not that great. None of them can sing besides Giles and the lyrics are retarded.

You're right, but the rest of the season isn't good.

If I had enjoyed it then I'd never tell

Yes, show is kino and first 3 seasons are pretty damn comfy
Also recommend its spinoff Angel.

Xander leaving Anya at the alter was god awful though

When it comes to Buffy and Faith, you well...you just /know/

Qt feet!

>What do you mean wildly out of a character for a female lead?
Sometimes she is clearly in the wrong and the show presents it that way

We'll see what he the other user says. But if you're right that's not the kind of female lead I want to see. Or male. It's not interesting. Remember when Whedon's Wonder Woman script was supposed to be awful because she had vulnerable moments and their was some humor about her naivete? Remember how all that ended up in the movie and it was great? Yeah.

Her house looks comfy as fuck. And she know she cooks in the kitchen all the time too. Need mommy Gellar.

Attached: smj-home8[1].jpg (573x430, 77K)

It's great. It's more than just a show about a cute girl fighting a monster of the week (although it's also that). It's got a great main cast, some good, thought-provoking episodes, it's got several strong female characters who aren't overtly woke, and most of the show is actually really good (only the last two seasons are generally not appreciated by most people).

I really miss this kind of show. Today everything wants to be super serious and grimdark but 95% of the time they just try too hard (like for example Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, what a shitshow). Buffy knows what it is and makes optimal use of that.

Caleb. Calls women whores and gets away with it (until he gets cut in half I guess). Based Nathan Fillion.

Na, that was one of Nathan Fillion's worst roles

(checked and patrioticpilled )
Even death doesn't stop his shitposting

Attached: Wine Tasting.webm (640x360, 2.26M)

Sounds like the character hit too close to home.

Buffy herself is pretty much your average thot with superpowers. Goes for the brooding tall dark handsome dude who is clearly not good for her. Big break up drama. Has a fast one nighter with a pua. Then goes for the next tall handsome guy. Turns out he is too nice and she doesnt love him. Goes straight back to the next bad boy with the most possible drama. He changes for her, she dumps him. Goes partymode in italy, dates a rich guy. Tries out /u/, yolo. Remembers her first bad boy, jumps his bone again (in space). Doesnt work, again. tbc

I see some of the Supernatural lads are posting here.

Males are allowed to be vulnerable. You see social justice fags want women to act like men and men to act like women.

He treated Charisma very well on Angel until she got pregnant and derailed his plans for her arc. She's on record not hating him for it and even expressing affection. Wanting to work with him again. Joss is a bit of an autist and an asshole but you really have to be to run a show. It's not unreasonable to be upset about an actor making a last minute life choice that fucks up all your shit. Totally her choice, but understandably upsetting.

THIS!!!
I was already when the show was airing convinced that SMG will age badly. She always had this kinda hidden "old_lady_characteristics" in her face.
I saw it from her young age already.
Allthough she looked cute despite that.

We're always around

Attached: cheerslad.jpg (1024x683, 35K)

SJWs want something to complain about online. Nobody actually wants a character without flaws and vulnerable moments once they get that finished product. It's fucking boring.

Fuck, pour a drink for Anya.

Oh that explains a lot. Cordy was like annoying in Buffy to all time great in Angel and I always wondered why she just disappeared in such a meaningless way.

Couldn't enjoy s4 at all because of it. S5 is good tv but I still missed Cordy bad.

Pretty much. Most everything post resurrection is shitty. The musical episode is insanely overrated and doesn't excuse the overall obvious decline in quality. Even 5 is a bit worse, 4 being the last I'd consider great because the change in setting was fresh.

Damn, I thought Spike and Buffy were cute...

>It's fucking boring
You just described 99.9% of films and shows from the past 5 years

Liked the show overall, allthough some episodes were worky to watch.
Dawn was a cute loli back then.

Attached: Michelle Trachtenberg As Dawn Summers.jpg (1200x1280, 374K)

Her character was annoying at first yet oddly became the best character in season 7. Unfortunately that was the worst season so it didn't count for much, and most of the main cast including SMG was phoning it in by that point

It's almost as if social media hasn't made Yea Forums media better like we were promised it would.

But honestly, what had she to do otherwise than being annoying.
Cute little loli sisters tend to be just that irl also.
And since Dawn didn't even know (as the rest of the bunch) what her purpose is and that she just popped up from nowhere, she didn't either have an important role to play.
I never understood the hate she received for her role desu.

I was too busy fapping to her to hate her

HMG for me

Attached: NINTCHDBPICT000519704932-e1567982640666.jpg (2302x2090, 351K)

Checked digits. Her character mostly seemed like a trap door for a spin-off to me.

fpbp
confy = corny+comfy

She was really cute early on when she still had some baby fat on her. Got too sticc later on.

Attached: D11AF351-DAD0-4375-B5E7-38564E3F6A56.jpg (1447x2048, 284K)

I find her most attractive in season 6 for some reason, tight jeans and ponytail do it for me for some reason. Also I love sticcs

Yes, she was a 10/10 fapping material.

> I don't care how many massive gangbangs took place behind the scenes.
AYO, say what?

Season six wasn't the best but it was fine. And what's this about getting blacklisted? The worst thing I've heard about him is his ex wife hates him. Which is, ya know, pretty common with ex wives. The rest has been "fans" wanting to take him down a notch with gossip.

Good. Same here. Just dont want to keep making threads that die right away during hiatus

Attached: baby ketch.webm (960x540, 2.7M)

Yes, also watch Angel in order of the two series airing.

Season 5 is by far the best season after 2 and 3, though. The show doesn't decline in quality until its final season, IMO. Seasons 1 and 4 are a bit rocky and hit-and-miss, but they're good overall. Season 6 I could see an argument for, but I think if you understand depression that season is actually not as bad as people think it is. 7 is really the only 'bad' season, because of the awful potential slayers storyline and the far too vague villain, "The First". But even that season is watchable and has some great moments and it ended well, unlike a lot of other tv shows. I've seen several shows fall into a quality-decline far worse than Buffy ever did.

Season one she was hot, but the kike genes kicked in

Caleb was pretty cool, the sadistic woman hating priest. They should have scrapped the potentials idea and brought him in earlier

Attached: Buffy_7x19_002.jpg (546x424, 34K)

She is what was considered hot in the 90s.

Glory and a few weirdo vampires like Sunday and the 7th season neurotic one who was so happy about it. Anya's troll boyfriend. Not Tara or Dawn. Graham was kinda based and even pops up after the Initiative arc ends. Basically the bad guys i guess.

Oh you.

Attached: 7Gfth.jpg (1100x1375, 127K)

gib glaubot gf

Tara. Fuck you

TITUS. GET THE CROSS

Good post, cheers user

Get in line bro. It's gonna continue to be a long ass wait.

Yes, it's good overall.

the only seasons worth watching are season 2 and season 6.

Its holds up ok

tbqh i feel like season 3 is incredibly overrated, and just as bland as season 4.

Season 4 is incredibly underrated tho, and as for season 3, hnnnng Faith

no. her husband is quite dashing though.

yeah, she was cute, but not the sort of girl you would sexualise. sisterzoned.

because Angel was comic relief, not "sex symbol"
youtube.com/watch?v=Blu2DZclU1g

>Only ever see Alyson Hannigan in American Pie
>She seems like she would be pretty cool irl
>See her on Penn and Teller
>She's a completely unlikable cunt

Is this just an American female trait?

Tara and Anya were the best girls on the show.
I guess Dawn as well if you're just talking about physical appearance.

Anya was great and redpilled as fuck, but Tara was a boring waste of space, great DSLs tho

>Goes partymode in italy, dates a rich guy. Tries out /u/, yolo. Remembers her first bad boy, jumps his bone again (in space). Doesnt work, again. tbc
why are you bringing up bad fanfiction?

Big nope. It hasn’t aged well and I am a big fan

>hasn't aged well
Yeah because TV shows have improved so much over the years. Oh wait...

She was like my main waifu before she got old.

Worst nose in all of television.

I remember them not airing an episode in season 3 because it had a very similar plot to the columbine shooting like a week after it happened.

I wish I was Oz I'd love to be an older guy in a band taking Willow's cute redhead virginity

That was John Ritter in an early ep. was it called bad eggs?

Early seasons are comfoy as fuck, mad 90s nostalgia and as a TV show it does in fact hold up pretty well especially seasons 2-5. Shits on all modern shows.

It’s one of the most rewatchable formats.

How on Earth was she a cunt on Penn & Teller? What did you see?

Season 1 of angel Cordelia looked hot af. She kind of got weird once she cut her hair.

I’m probably up with you. That opening scene in Harvard man was my go too yo

How come angel never gets as much praise despite being superior in every way?

That doesn't make sense.

Episodic with season arcs and series arcs is the new black. Just wait and see. People are burning out on serialized soap opera shit.

That’s the main problem. X-files is good too but fuck some seasons had like 30 episodes.

It's not though. It didn't start getting really good until like season 3 and then ended 2 seasons later. Cordelia was annoying and Angel with his emo redemption shit was never as interesting as Buffy.

Oh you don’t like Riley now?

Don't watch the blurays, they made a 4:3 show 16:9 by uncropping scenes, even if it meant leaving in the camera crew. Plus screwing up the color and brightness.

What has this bitch been up to? I’ve never seen her after that that season. She definitely kissed the cock ring.

Not sure if it was better overall but the stretch where they're working at Wolfram & Hart was kino. Very nice world building.

cheers lad

Forgot my pic like a dumb idiot

Attached: 5420716828[1].png (851x480, 426K)

That was great. Reminded me of fantasies I have in my head like how I’m the greatest at everything

Come on. That's not really on the Blu Ray. Come on now.

No idea what she did after but she appeared in Bring It On alongside Eliza Dushku. No doubt Joss was a fan of that movie and wanted to fuck both of them, probably tried to get Kirsten Dunst on his weewee but couldn't

Just her general demeanor. Acting like it's beneath her, like she's such hot shit. She's far too false for a show like that, you need someone like Jonathan Woss.

Watch Doublemeat Palace tho

I can't find a clip of it, so here's a bunch of them
youtu.be/F28XcxHxH6k

iirc, according to the authorized and awful fan fiction, the 'buffy' in rome was a decoy

and Once More With Feeling, and Dead Things, and Life Serial... actually just watch all of Season 6 except for Hell's Bells

hells bells is the only time we see xanders family and finally get to see why he hates them so much, since s1 its been mentioned that xander use to go hideout at willows house all the time and we never knew why

Yeah but I love Anya so much that it kills me to watch that episode, I literally can't watch more than halfway without turning it off and autistically fuming about it for an hour

lol must keep that tism under control lad

absolutely yes unless you are a cynical twat

I'm pretty easily triggered by bitch behavior and I didn't get that vibe at all. If anything she seems subservient and perfunctory. Like an assistant. But you're entitled to your feels.

mercilessly
ughfhds

>caring about a show about Jews

Smg a Jew
Alyson Hannigan a Jew
Eliza Dushku a Jew
Michelle Tractenberg a Jew

We know who is in charge of this show

Itd not the blu Ray it's the HD digital remaster. Passion of the nerd did a good breakdown of all the stuff on his other channel Sunnydale archives. I assume that's the video the other user got the picture from

Season 1-3 would be a perfect little programme if they ended it there. Everything felt so forced season 4 onwards, gave up half way through 5. Some of the best sci fi and SMG kino is in season 1 so don't pass it up

5 was way better than 3. What do people even like about seano 3 anyways?

Dont you dare insult my 90s waifu

>What do people even like about season 3
hmmm I wonder

your assumption that a characters actions at the beginning of the episode are what is regarded as the moral is weird. Arcs close at the end of the episode.

Season 3 has always been the 'party' season. These days we focus on really dark and intense plotlines in TV and movies, even kids shows do their own version of them. But back in the day you wanted to have fun while watching TV, and season 3 did that well. It still had a cool over arching story, drama, intensity, but it was premised on fun ideas.

Season 5 was amazing, but its almost entirely about the bigger arc whereas season 3 you could put on any random episode and love it as a standalone.

use this to watch it along with angel, since they often crossovers with their characters due to same creators and close broadcast time

oops, heres the link:
liztellsfrank.com/2019/12/03/buffy-the-vampire-slayer-angel-the-unified-skip-it-watch-it-guide/

12days

why would you need a link? if doing a complete re-watch or I suppose first watch, just start watching 1 ep then 1 buffy from s4 of buffy onward, just like how it aired

Imagine looking at this pic and the feet is what attracts your attention

Then what our threads die again once the show ends?

we'll be done and their will be peace? idk lad for now we carry on

Fucking yeeted that bitch. I forgot about that character, he was based

Honestly yes. It might not have the production values we are used to now but the show has some of the best character arcs of television. Heck, Buffy and Angel would be worth it for Weasley´s character development alone but there is so much more to these shows aside from memorable moments. The characters actually grow and the shows do a really good job at using the supernatural to adress real life issues. Most of the time the writting is good enough and knows how to keep the "morals" of the story in the subtext instead of the explicit text.

> INB4 beer bad

I said MOST of the time. Also, i won´t lie to you, it will have it´s quota of girl power because "duh" but for the most part i think the shows are balanced and adresses just life shit in general. From teenage romance to coming out, getting a job, losing someone or getting utterly depressed.
Also the plots themselves where mostly enjoyable. Ups and downs like on every show but neither of the shows ever do that thing where they start great and then become utter shit that makes you want to quit. Cinematography wise after season 1 both shows are pretty cool. Sure, the effects have aged but the narrative style still holds.

I miss Hamilton, him and Caleb should've gone on a psychopath road trip together

It wasn't only Xander, she had a relationship with Oz. She was bi, but Joss didn't like that other tv shows would have characters lez out for an episode, so he "made her gay". Even though it didn't really make the most sense.
It's not like the kept "magic use" as a consistent metaphor though. First it wasn't a metaphor at all, just mostly a weapon, then adult consequences with Ripper, then it's the solution to their problems, then self-discovery of lesbianism, then drug use, then redemption.
Willow's character is still great, but a lot of the time, she was an emotional punching bag.

Yeah OP it's pretty much what this guy said: Just be warned that the first season is pretty rough. It's one of the best tv shows ever made but it takes about a season and a half until it gets there. A lot of people start watching it expecting greatness from the beginning and end up dropping the show when they quickly realize that it's an incredibly dated, 90s, monster of the week type show with incredibly dated vfx that's primarily made for teenage girls. Which it is, but the show becomes so much more than that as it goes on.

My recommendation, get to the end of season 2 and if you don't like it by then it isn't for you. Just know that the cheesy, so-bad-they're-good episodes largely go away after season 2 and there's only a handful of them scattered throughout the rest of the show. Also the show manages to get even better after season 2 but it does have some rough patches. Also the show starts to get an actual budget starting season 3 and the production values and special effects go from being terrible to being passable from that point on, by about season 4 they even manage to pull off some borderline good effects.... ocassionally.

Also avoid the HD remaster, it's just one of the worst HD conversions of anything and it's honestly a detriment to the show if you watch it that way. It honestly makes the show seem even more dated and clunky than it originally was. Although be warned that the first 2 seasons look like they were filmed on treacle when watched on a big HD tv these days.

Also, if you want to know when it starts getting really good it's the two-part episode Surprise and Innocence. After that the show goes from strength to strength.

Faith's story is spread across Buffy and Angel, in a way that you can't really enjoy her character without knowing both. There's no way that a viewer of only Buffy, would trust Faith in s7.
And if you just watch Angel without seeing s7 of Buffy, then you don't see her reacceptance, and only see her breaking out of jail.

you'd also have no idea why buffy is showing up ready to kill faith in s1 of angel and visa versa why angel is randomly showing up in buffy

Without a condom. Raw.

season 3 is the 'real' natural planned conclusion to the series, the mayor woking in the background had been setup since s1 all major plot threads from the frist 3 season are tied up also the Mayor is the best villain buffy ever had, just as a bonus, but then they got renewed if they hadn't been I'm sure their would've been a lot more deaths

Make her take plan b after. Why abortion even exists?

>Is it worth watching in 2020?
Depends. Are you a girl who dreams of dark, hunky emo guys

Attached: 1475306295712j.jpg (2070x923, 516K)

That's better than the crop or stretch.
They could have just blurred them out or CGIed it if they had the money.

Awww fuck. I just realized I might be that emo asshole. I hate those guys. All my GFs love those annoying jerks. One even called me Beast. Fuckin' up all my existential shit right now. Better go back to therapy so I can have a functional relationship someday. Maybe.

>Is it worth watching
Yeah, it's fun. Don't skip the movie, it's not great but it's an origin story. Even if there are big continuity problems it still provides a context.
>in 2020?
What? I don't get what you mean by this but I have to assume that you're being a bloody poofter. Stop being a bloody poofter.

>It felt like power rangers but for adults,
For slightly bigger kids, you mean.
But yes, it came into its own in season 2. Season 2 episode 3, to be precise.

> when it started taking itself more seriously
That was never. The S5 episode where Buffy's mum dies is the only episode in the franchise that's not at least 50% comedy. It's as much a comedy show as it is anything else.

man of the comics before the show ended were good basically scripts that were just a bit too expensive, one good one is the buffy movie reworked just a bit to fit properly into continuity, just read that online and then watch s1 imo

Meh. The Spike/Drusila stuff is definitely stronger than anything in season 1 but it's still pretty teenage schlock. It really doesn't start getting amazing until Surprise/Innocence. After that the show starts to become legit good.

Please dont talk about this as if its all real, you are just making it worse for poor Buffy. She just wants to be healthy again and go home with her parents.

shut up, I mean you're not even warren or johnathon, lol literally can't remember his name

Tucker's brother

andrew, lol finally remembered

The only hot girl in the original shit was constantina or whatever the fuck her name was.
That bitchy one.

Miss calendar

They tried so hard to make Buffy look hotter than Willow when Alyson Hannigan was a fucking knockout

Attached: damn willow looks like that.jfif.jpg (183x275, 8K)

Hotter than Jennifer Aniston

cordelia?

>that pic

are you fucking with us

You mean the bimbo with the fake tits who looked like she was 35? lmao

And thank god it got renewed because season 5 was awesome

>worth watching
Yes
>in 2020
Not until they redo and fix the HD releases.

youtube.com/watch?v=oZWNGq70Oyo

Or just buy a CRT television and watch the DVDs

The dialogue ruins it. It's embarrassing baby talk written by a midwit who is convinced hes at least three times as clever as he actually is.

the best character in the show.

Attached: buffy-warren.jpg (240x200, 6K)

He was great, a scumbag but one you could sympathize with. Although I didn't understand why he was obsessed with his cunt of an ex who left him because built a robot. Any woman with a brain would see they're on the gravy train

the aryan chad joss whedon raped all of them.
