There was a recent story arc where Maria plays as a fortune teller and basically tells Maricela to stop being such a stick in the mud and enjoy being a kid instead of thinking she has to be so smart all the time, so I think the comic is making her become more of a childish kid prodigy who is also a big foodie. It has made me become more fond of her.

At least it's missing an S on "Apreciada", since it's first plural and then singular and "Propinas" is the direct object, but the normal would be "Se aprecian Propinas" regardless. "Aprecian" is used rather than "Se Aprecia" o "Se aprecias" in that instance for the plural form in the verbal conjugation.
So, either. "Se aprecian propinas", "Se aprecian las propinas", at worst "Propinas apreciadas", but it's not a normal sentence.
