Garfield is the depressed lesbian in the show. I'm sure there are 3-4 people that identify with it, but let's be honest. Suicide rates will just drop those numbers to 0 in a couple weeks.

dumb and drags on way to long

he got depression because
>he blame himself for Brion turning evil despite absolutely nothing he could have done nor had that much of a connection with
>the death of conner whom relationship was more a background thing now is being thrust as tho they're like blood brothers?
he didn't get depress when
>his mom died
>when 3/4 of the doom patrol died
>when he was forced to be a celebrity puppet by his abusive adopted father who let his adopted mother died
what make it worse is that he constanly getting help by people who have more of a reason to be depress then he is; Miss martian fiance blew the fuck up and his girlfriends is paranoid of the open war because of Brion bs

Beyond the fact it's dragged on too long and interrupts more interesting stuff going on it's just kinda awkward that he's going through this realistic depression while other people in the same show have been through the same or worse and don't seem to have any issues (beyond generic sadness).

I appreciate that it's going for authenticity in its storytelling and really attempting to communicate the emotion that Beast Boy is dealing with, but I really hope it's going somewhere.

Remember when they had the Lobo offshoot in the credit teases?

I don't know but I want it off my Youtube recommendeds.

Young Justice has failed its potienal. The writers are hacks and don't have any clue what they're doing. Season 1 was a flash in a pan.

>miss martian's fiance died
oh no, she is an alpha widow

I'm so sorry for the next guy

>>his mom died
>>when 3/4 of the doom patrol died
>>when he was forced to be a celebrity puppet by his abusive adopted father who let his adopted mother died

He was he just tried to hide it before

>Clone Orm finds out he's not a real person and his entire existence is a lie
>calms down and drops any beef with Arthur in 1 episode
>Garfield watches Kon die
>turns into miserable wreck for the whole season

Connor died? Welp, not watching that shit. Probably killed Wolf too, cunts.

>Connor died? Welp, not watching that shit. Probably killed Wolf too, cunts.
To the audience he's not dead just in the phantom zone somehow

so season 4 sounds like trash but did geo-force ever get the muslim thussy back?

I liked it. Showing how exhausting it can be to love someone through thick and thin is refreshing. Emphasizing that interventions don't work for everyone was a brave choice.

Maybe it was brave in 2003 when the Sopranos did it.

Watch it Beasty

Beast Boy never had the makings of a varsity hero

Phantom Girl of the LoSH saved him from an explosion but was knocked into a coma so the two of them are stuck in the Phantom Zone until she wakes up. He's been in there for...weeks I guess? Several episodes. All anybody else saw was an explosion and then he was gone, so they think he's dead.

Not yet in fact we really haven't seen Brion much. But the muslim girl decided their pronouns are they/them so safe to say he dodged a bullet there.

I think we need more focus on Gar’s depression.
And Islam too.

The part that's so bizarre about trying to make Halo the "muh pronouns" character is that the character is a girl and a Mother Box sharing a body, right? So if she was literally plural like Venom or Ermac, "they" would be the natural choice, right? But no. She wants to be a "they" because she's not sure about gender despite the fact that she's the combination of two FEMALE entities, not a female and a male or a female and a genderless AI. Mother Boxes are called Mother for a reason.

I hope he kills himself.

>Left Young Justice around the time Gar starts to implode because of Conner's death and M'gann starts dragging in everyone she can to yank him out of his funk
>Left Young Justice around the time Cheshire and Artemis became stupid enough to trust Ra's/Sensei to do the right thing and help them put their lives back together instead of literally any professional therapist
>Left Young Justice around the time Aqualad started to overwork himself
>Left America around the time Child spent a lot of time there while attacking the whole world
You know, Brion dodged a lot of bullets when you think about it.

He should learn from La'gaan on how to move on.

I think Perdita should be blacked in front of him

Cyborg ain't got shit to do, and Static Shock's still thirsty last I checked.

It's not my favorite subplot, but I'm glad there's an adaptation that doesn't treat Beast Boy as just a token comic relief like so many adaptations do. I hope he actually goes by Changeling at some point.

Clone Orm still looked miserable and has a lot to process. But after everything that happened, his grudge against Orin just seems like a lost cause. Maybe he'll find a home in Geranium City.

My boy dodged a full salvo. Considering the implied fucked state of the USA, and Atlantis, do you think Markovia will become the new superpower? Brion has a pretty liberal stance on metahumans, and he could use the immigrant ones as a stockpile of living WMD's.

He's not actually dead, everyone thinks he is but he's in the Phantom Zone kind of going crazy.

It's a weird case where something is done so realistically it wraps around and becomes annoying and painful to watch, at least when what you are going for is a Superhero show, even one that tends to lean on drama more as Young Justice does.

Essentially they did it TOO well and it feels at odds with everything else around it.

fuck mondays

Wolfman's attempts to try and make Slade sympathetic again after realizing how irredemable he came off after Judas Contract are just.. awkward to this day.

It's one tiny European country. It's never gonna be a superpower for the same reason Latveria never will be in Marvel despite being objectively less fucked than Earth-616's US what with the Hulk-related projects and the mutie lynchings (conducted both against and by the muties) and Carol beating civilians into bloody pulps.

DC's attempts to just ignore what was done to Terra while simultaneously acknowledging their existence in upcoming material like the Dark Multiverse crap are even more awkward.

Judas Contract is like this weird thing that's so iconic it can never be retconned much but also so dated in some ways it can feel awkward and weird when they do fully bring it up.

did dakari kiing mykan get a writing job on this show?

I was thinking he might go the way of Yugoslavia, kind of. Several small countries federated under a single regime, only now it would be a glorious monarchy, rather than a socialist dictatorship. Not that it would be much different necessarily, he would still need a sort of Wakandan White Wolf/Udba style secret police, and have to rule with a semi-iron fist. But he'd have the ability to groom his own successor, and do everything he can to make sure his legacy doesn't fall apart after he dies.

All he needs to do is find some way of arranging a marriage with Perdita, and make up a good excuse to invade Bialya. And maybe keep Qurac as a satellite nation dependent on him economically.

Flashpoint and Amazons Attack! are the same way, come to think of it. They're both awful, both pointlessly monstrous for shock value reasons and both make out Wonder Woman to be a horrible person. But at the same time, DC doesn't want to let go of that B R A N D recognition.

It comes from a different time, and was made by writers with a different mentality. We can bitch all we want, but that is how it is and the story will never stop existing no matter how much people bitch.

>Yugoslavia
>superpower
And good luck with that legacy when shit has hit the fan so badly with Young Justice that he decided to let Dr. Jace back in the fold. Literally on the level of Malekith forgiving Morathi in Warhammer Fantasy except Jace isn't even a veteran dark sorceress and technically a war hero.

>Qurac
Qurac has been annexed by Bialya. He'd have to go to war with Queen Bee and we all know what happens when heroes in Young Justice who aren't the main characters, working together, pulling out all the stops go up against the Light.

Excuse you. I resserve the right to bitch about bad stories. Or do you seriously think you shouldn't be allowed to complain about Dark Nights Metal, Year of the Villain, Dark Nights Death Metal and Dark Crisis?

Slade as a whole is just a mess. No one can seem to agree on how evil he's supposed to be so one day he will be hunting people worse than him and basically be an anti villain then the next he'll be nuking Bludhaven just to spite Nightwing because he's a dick.

>what do you think of it?
Wish they went with Green Arrows side kick, the real one, being a junkie
Let Arsenal shoot people with hir laser arm gun and shoot up dope on the side

And right now his literal, stated motivation is to be "king of the supervillains" like an actual goddamn child. Keeps getting away with everything too.

I blame him getting a daughter. When supervillains have children and aren't, like, Darkseid or Black Manta levels of evil from the get-go everyone wants to humanise them whether or not it makes sense.

>let Dr. Jace back in the fold
Zviad's fault, not Brion's.

>Qurac has been annexed by Bialya
If he liberated them from the Bialyan occupation, he would have access to their military, and intelligence networks. Stepping into an alliance with them would hypothetically let him wage war on two fronts.

>we all know what happens when heroes in Young Justice who aren't the main characters, working together, pulling out all the stops go up against the Light.
Good point.

>Or do you seriously think you shouldn't be allowed to complain about Dark Nights Metal, Year of the Villain, Dark Nights Death Metal and Dark Crisis?
God forbid. I never said anyone should not be allowed to shit talk things they don't like, or things that are objectively bad like what you mentioned. My point is, no matter how much i bitch about, say, Williamson or Ridley, they will still get work and still have their character assassinating drivel published. I can't do anything about that, save seethe.

Why didn't they use Speedy's crack addiction instead?
Did Beast Boy need to join the pill popping awareness brigade too?

They sort of did in season two with Will's addiction to finding Roy and how that put a strain in his mind and body. Roy himself treats his PTSD by owning a shit-ton of guns.

>I blame him getting a daughter. When supervillains have children and aren't, like, Darkseid or Black Manta levels of evil from the get-go everyone wants to humanise them whether or not it makes sense.
I blame Williamson, and every other incompetent hack "writer" that butchered the character since Priest left. Read some of his pre-Flashpoint stories, especially 2003 Teen Titans. He's truly insanely evil in that one period, and Rose is just as fun.

>by writers with a different mentality
nah I'm sure they still have pedo writers at DC

Kek
Considering the amount of fagshit, yeah.

Dark Crisis is going to be KINO

>said user, desperately swallowing another dose of copium as he tried to justify the Empty Hand being a literal fucking hand

because it's being written by someone who's never actually been depressed

to put it one way: when it was done initially it was like seeing Tony Soprano's depression and it was genuinely interesting
but when it ran its course it was like watching AJ's depression where it became very one note and annoying

>when it was done initially it was like seeing Tony Soprano's depression and it was genuinely interesting
It was boring from the start.
