Whoever wins....we win, because these are actually two decent directors for once

Good.

Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch are more popular than Yea Forums gives them credit. Also, everyone knows the X-Men are in this due to Multiverse shenanigans, and the movie is way shorter than The Batman so there are more screenings per day.

Normies gonna norm

/thread

Of course.
I didn’t watch WandaVision and No Way Home for nothing.

>OMG OMG MUH SALES MUH SALES
As the consumer, why should anyone fucking care about the sales numbers. They're already successful enough that more of these types of movies will be made.

Sirs… not like this

>directed by Sam Raimi
Okay, how is Raimi going to do it this time? What line will shock us and make us disbelieve that he actually got away with it again?

>India

Yeah I often call batjeets subnormal.

They only count pre-sales in America

They should count only india for DC movies

Wong - CONFIRMED
America Chavez - CONFIRMED
Loki - CONFIRMED
Gordon Bombay - CONFIRMED
Ghost Rider - RUMOUR
Bruce Campbell - RUMOUR
Scarlet Witch - RUMOUR
Bubsy Bobcat - RUMOUR
Tobey Maguire - RUMOUR

Loki and Wanda should be switched no?

the end credits scene should just be tony sopranos breathing heavy

why should we care about which one makes the bigger numbers ? none of us are getting any money from these

The Batman was subversive kino. MoM is a popcorn flick for the masses. Obviously McDonald’s sells more burgers than a Michelin Star restaurant.

The Batman was a standard roller coaster movie

Well, MoM is made by Sam FUCKING Raimy.. Of curse it will outsold anything.

pre-mcu maybe but there's nothing standard about it nowadays, in the marvel and dceu era it's a refreshing film that offers something we're not used to anymore

>Obviously McDonald’s sells more burgers than a Michelin Star restaurant.
Bad analogy because McDonalds is way cheaper and convenient. The two movies on the otherhand will have similar prices and runtimes. You could even argue that The Batman is more accessible because its a clean slate whilst Multiverse of Madness continues from things established in previous movies that not everyone has seen.

The Batman is not that accessible, it's three hours long so that runtime already alienates a lot of the more casual audience.
A lot of people show up to a marvel movie for the spectacle rather than the story, how many viewer do you think will have watched Loki or What if.. ? not the majority. They don't care, the plot is not what sells an MCU movie now. It's all about the spectacle just like the Jurassic World films

>Multiverse of Madness continues from things established in previous movies that not everyone has seen.
Nah. That's exactly it. None of the later MCU movies have to lift any weight in introductions because everyone has watched them all, or know enough of what it will be about.

Batman always had the risk of being the same stories and characters told in a different way, which is more taxing on a viewer, who sort of knows who is who and how it ends, than an MCU movie, where you already know everyone and how it ends, and just enjoy the VFX and the setups for future stuff.

That said, both are the fast-food of movies, just that one is MacDonald's and the other is Burger King. And that's alright, as long as you eat more stuff than just that.

Bro just talk normal.

holy cope, batcuck.

Dr. Strange has thing I recognize from my childhood = instant success

DC is still in a bit of a doghouse with fans. It has to earn it's box office back. Slowly over the course of a few years.

NOOOO WHAT ARE YOU DOING???
YOU HAVE TO TAKE PART IN POINTLESS COMPANY WARS!!
YOU CANT JUST ENJOY 2 FILMS FROM 2 DIFFERENT COMPANIES!!!!

Batman is outdated and irrelevant.

And Batman didn't?

>The first three hours
How many hours is this fucking movie? Jesus

White Privileged Assholes

Batman already made more than Man of Steel during its whole run.

Batman sold less tickets though

Based take

DC is far less likely to be good. A lot of people are likely going to wait until its on streaming sites. DCEU is in fucking shambles, imo they should fuck off for a few years and try again with the notes they took from marvel releases. They have proven themselves unworthy of the IPs and need to get their shit together.

seethe

Joker The Batman and Peacemaker have been doing good tho

Deadpool beat Superman, Doctor Strange beat Batman. What a strange world we now live in.

One of these is not like the other

>Gordon Bombay

He will Save the Multi-verse with the power of Hockey. Yea ForumsMRADES Execute FLYING "V".

The Batman is a reboot of the franchise and the DCEU being a mess doesn’t help it’s cause. Meanwhile Multiverse of Madness is basically a sequel they turned into mini Avengers movie with more nostalgia pandering of movies they didn’t make and we all saw NWH was a giant turd carried by nostalgia.

Holy cope

There is no cope. People talk more about X-Men, Deadpool, Tom Cruise, etc. in this movie than they do the actual main cast. Nobody cares about Doctor Strenge in this movie. Homecoming couldn’t even break a billion pre-Covid but throw in Garfield and Tobey and it does almost 2 billion. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

Yeah I'm thinking cope

noooooooo you have to like one and hate the other stop it!!!!!!!!!!

Nobody says this. Everyone likes Marvel and Batman, it's the rest of DC we hate

The Batman wouldve gotten to the 1 billion mark if it shoehorned in Bale and Affleck, but it doesn’t rely on cheap fan service.
Suck a fat one.

It would have sold even less somehow

I really like him on the reboot series. I hope for more Mighty Ducks seasons.

Disney buys tickets to their own movies.

Brand power is more important than quality to the box office. Word of mouth on The Batman has been good because the film was good. Word of mouth on Strange 2 will be good because of all the cameos it has, but no one will be rewatching it or talking about it in a year.

But no one is talking about The Batman now.....

And the cope keeps coming

Oh sure. Warner Bros would never do that.

This. NWH is aging like milk already. Its another throwaway movie for the MCU brand.

It's one of the top 250 narrative films of all time
