OH FUCK, IS HE GOING FOR CANISTER DAMASCUS?!

>also times when nigga's failed hard on Forged in Fire thread

>____ just quenched

>that dude that failed the last round because he didn't make it to specification
LOL RETARD

>the token black guy who they push as a contender only to fail the first test

>that fucking mad lad Hawaiian who forged a knife out of canister Damascus with 45 left on the clock and it made it through
>lost to some smug trust fund kid faking an “awkward” persona in the final round

>so I really want to impress the judges so instead of making a knife with what I know I’m going to try some bullshit I’ve never done before and fuck it up and get eliminated round 1

>Oh no he is going for a water quench!
I can't watch this

ONE MINUTE LEFT TILL WE CUT TO COMMERCIALS

>contestant's knife warped in the quench
>he grabs a hammer

I DONT CARE WHAT YOUR BLADE DOES TO MY ASS
I CARE WHAT MY ASS DOES TO YOUR BLADE

>your forging skills would make Hephaestus himself shed a tear
>but your handle was a millimeter too thick for my hand so you're out

I watch this show with my dad

>contestant's knife warped in the quench
>He grabs a torch and bend it on a vise
>He just says "I'll fix it in the next round" and lose
>HE FUCKING TEMPERS IT AGAIN 8 TIMES

>that guy who failed round 1 because he was too fat

>guy makes it to the final round
>turns in this mess

>catastrophic failure

There's a decent amount of times where a contestants turns in a shitty looking final weapon.

>Not making your hilt out of low quality hamburger meat from a school cafeteria

>BOTH weapons break in the final round

>Doug hits something with the side of the blade and blames it on the sharpness

This show is fun, it's like watching Nascar but the probability of witnessing a crash is really damn high because blacksmithing at high speed is fickle like that.

Nice.

>guy wastes half the round trying to forgeweld steel bits by wrapping them in steel wire instead of welding them together because he's a old time smithing "purist"
>has no issue using power tools like grinders or Big Blue

only the first season was dangerous because no contestant knew what to expect and the air conditioning in the warehouse was busted.

>it's a contestant can't start his coal forge episode
