Imagine being in O'Sullivans head right now. One of your idols as your turned professional, Stephen Hendry wins 7 worlds before you've had one, though people say for years you have the capacity to win it. Eventually you win a worlds, then another. You're successful, but nothing close to consistent. The years go by, and 30 years after turning professional, you have the chance to match Hendry's count. People are already saying that the time it took you to get here smears your achievement, and that Hendry's dominance will never be matched. But still, you have to try. You do well, start fluffing shots and then curse. Ref comes over and gives you a warning, standard behaviour. Something Ronnie's experienced a bit before. So he fights back. Was it the time or place? No. Was it justified? Probably not. Can I understand it? Yeah, but I don't condone it. I think after the latest tantrum from the O'Sullivan countable braincell circus, The Judd parade may have gained a few more members.
