Who's the best car on television and why is it KITT?
Who's the best car on television and why is it KITT?
I liked viper.
For me, it's General Lee
Based
gorgeous car. a dream car to own.
Apple Watch still can’t open door locks like KITT could. Fact!
*blocks your path*
The problem with KITT is they never updated the car. They produced the show just about at the lowest point in American automotive performance: the late 70s-early 80's. They went with a really futuristic styled car, and it was an improvement, but it was still a dog that ran like shit.
They improved the styling of the 80's foxbody cars (firebird, camaro, mustang) even more starting in 1985 and the performance went through the roof in 1987 with port fuel injection but during the years Knight Rider was in production, those cars sucked. They should have updated the style for the 1986 season since by then the 1985 trans am had been around for awhile and was more muscular and KITT looked wimpy as fuck. Still does with those skinny ass tires and weak rear spoiler
That would be Knight Industries Two Thousand as a crime-solving, sarcastic, suped up '82 Trans Ams is quite easily the most aesthetically pleasing and personable car that a television show has ever produced.
full digital dashes in cars were cancer. The early 80's were a horrible, horrible time culturally. Don't fall for the memes, kids.
KARR was better
not so fast
I just have a boner for William Daniels' voice so yeah KITT is best boy
Bullshit, the 80s were the best decade to be a kid in, I know, I was one.
>kids driving cars in the 80s
>kids posting about the 80's on image boards
You're not making any sense and are clearly too senile to post here, gramps.
This. I was also a kid in the 80s.
Remember when KITT had to take on Goliath?
Driving straight at him was a pretty good trick.
he didn't literally mean "children", you senior citizen retards.
look out! most kino film car crashing your tv car thread!
it's called spooning
I could never rev match in a digital dash car, that's why I hate this fucking shit
i love off-roading in my automobile!
wew! suck it tv fags we film heroes now!
...
I CAN FEEL IT COOOOMING IN THE AIR TONIIIIIGHT
OH LOORD
The thing about the Miami Vice Ferrari is that it's not an extremely "80's" styled car. It's got a very 70's vibe to it
>BA Baracus Rape Powered Van
>superior TransAm coming through
post the Formula and we can talk. KITT is technically a "Trans Am" but it's really a Formula, considering the early 80's models lacked bottom spoilers, which is not very T/A-like.
>get to a hill
RIP
get teh fuck off my highway, man.
KITT's wheel/tire combo always drove me nuts. V6 automatic secretary model.
lol
It was shit, but it was all you could get until '85 and the norm until like 1988. The styling of American sports cars was garbage for most of the 80's and was really only peak autokino for 4 years '88-92.
Amazing how the aesthetics still hold up...doesn't look horrible 70s cocaine vision custom at all...
Get on my level.
fun fact: the '89 Batmobile was based on this era of Corvette.
>That scene where the General Lee went through a Civil rights protest and brutally ran over dozens of people
Jesus fucking Christ.
KITT is such a timeless design. 40 years later it's still cool.
I'll see your trans am kammback and raise you an era-appropriate k-type for this thread.
step aside carlets
It was in production between 68 and 73, it would be weird if it had any 80s vibe. Also the car in the show was a replica not a real Ferrari, which actually pissed of Ferrari by season 3 and they donated two white Testarossas to the team to use in the show.
Beep beep motherfuckers!
Listen up, faggots. Mom wants a word.
I FOUND OUT LONG AGO (WOAH OH OH OH)
IT'S A LONG WAY DOWN
A HOLIDAY ROAD (WOOAAH AAH OHOHOH)
>faux wood paneling on the hood.
That's what puts it over for me
h-hey guys. Can i post in this thread?
