>It's another atheist isn't afraid of The Exorcist but would still cry if saw Pazuzu in their house

Wasn't that part added in the extended version later on?

it would be scary if ghoulies were real but they''re not

Yeah. One of the many additional subliminal shit they threw in, like Regan's face morphing just before she grabs the guy's junk.

THEY WERE VERY BADLY SCARED YOU SEE

SOULLLLLL ALRIGHT?

The Exorcist fucking sucks and aged like shit. Deal with it soiboys.

his brain is huge lol

But he sacrificed it

RIP

My mom still refuses to watch the film (or any satanic films) because she has weird superstitions that watching them can "let in" evil forces.

>Insidious and The Conjuring? Now those are horror films

>be around 1991 i guess
>hear about "silence of the lambs"
>omg! people throwing up in theater it fucking sick!
>see it at 15yo pre internet when out on tape.
>wtf, gay?
was i born hard gents?

based

Any time you hear "a person got sick! (or fainted, had a heart attack, died, etc) during a film. Its just producers and shit taking some old fart who was gonna croak anyway and bending the story to make it sound scary.

I didn't faint but I did shit myself

but i distantly remember my wine aunt saying she saw people do this irl

Has there been anything spooky enough in the past decade to make anyone faint?

Why was the Joker in The Exorcist III?

Attached: exorcist iii still 4.png (1024x576, 553K)

Yeah, just like the people who totally know Blaire Witch is real and know the kids that disappeared.

Hereditary

Why did Dahmer prefer this film when the first is superior? He also had a thing for Palpatine

>Blaire Witch
> knowing ill never relive seeing this opening week in full hype mode(seeing the "docs" about it before and everything)

kek is this real?

It's like times were different or something.

Big if true.

I don't get it either.
>when movie was just invented the people who lived through Wild West were still around.
>people fainted at train coming to the station

>people find the gore boring and fake

no lie, that spooks me to the marrow of my bones
I was just about to go to sleep too, dammit

that was me
totally fooled. the White Enamel documentary was a great set up

i even remember the news reporting on the movies release as a revelation of a crime or proof of the supernatural. shit was wild then. peek narrative control

Well average life wasnt the hellhole that we have today so it didnt take much to scare them.

It was pretty fun.

Those faux documentaries really added something before seeing the movie -- and it always irks me that people rarely bring them up as a suggestion to people who've never seen BWP before to watch them beforehand.

>"you mother sucks cocks in hell"

nice one Pazuzu. been around for centuries and still sound like an 8th grade incel

I remember watching this late one night channel surfing while eating cereal and felt fucking sick

This wasn't there in 1973. It was added on the DVD.

it's true you know

It can if you believe this sort of thing. The thing is, you open yourself to it. Staring into the abyss, yadda yadda. If you open yourself to the supernatural and evil by reading too much about it and looking into this kind of shit, you're opening yourself. That is if you believe in spirituality, of course.

No it didn’t, that shot was added for the rerelease

fun fact: that demon face is actually the same actor as the main-character ex-priest

When I was a kid I saw The Village and the scene where the blind girl is in the forest and the creature appears behind her made me start screaming loud as fuck and my family had to come to the room to see what was happening.

I didn't realize it was supposed to be the retard dressed as a creature. I thought that it turned out the creatures were real.

Another movie that made me incredibly uncomfortable, but already as an adult, was The Blair Witch Project. It was fucking everywhere when I was a kid but I only had the chance to watch it at 19. I loved it. My type of supernatural yet psychological horror.

wow what a fucking nothing of a post.
you could have stopped after the first sentence.

christians and muslim believers shit themselves when face with movies like the exorcist, the exorcism of emily rose or the rite.
had a very church going friend legit pull out his cross necklace and start crying and praying during the devil scenes in the exorcism of emily rose,i kicked him because he made shit more spooky than it had to be.
tl;dr don't watch religion based horror movies with religious persons

TRY CHRISTIANITY

there's something people tend to not notice, where did the demon possessed bitch eyebrow go ?
did they fall off ? did the demon shave them for her to make her more spooky ? what ?

Why is that so genuinely unsettling to me?

The movie was more creepy and tense than frightening....except for the part where she finds the fungated corpse in the bathtub and then the lights go out. That was genuinely horrifying.

Honestly,I think most plebs don't even realize how intense that scene is because it cuts to dark before their brain processes what they just saw. I'm astounded by how many people never even realized it was a body, but Clarice sure as fuck knew.

Imagine being her for a second. You just unexpectedly found the guy who kidnaps, kills and skins people. You're wandering around his house and you don't know where he is or if he has a weapon, and then you stumble across pic related and right when you realize what it is THE FUCKING LIGHTS GO OUT. Now you're trapped in the dark in a room with the world's grossest corpse and you know Mr. hump skinner is coming because he's the one who turned off the lights. I would have pissed myself desu.

yup

I liked the slow burn

>Imagine
h-hey, lets not go crazy. this is Yea Forums

That shit really did happen, though.

It's true lot of audience reaction stories are bullshit marketing ploys but there really are some people out there who just can't deal with even a whiff of gore or horror. This was the biggest movie in the country by a huge margin so a lot of people who probably wouldn't normally go to see this sort of thing probably wound up seeing it just out of herd mentality.

So out of the tens of millions of people who went out to see this thing one or two milquetoast normies who really had no tolerance got caught up in the hysteria and freaked out a bit. And then the media ran with it. It's not hard to believe.
