I will say that the earlier Fight Night games are incredibly difficult though. Even playing them on Medium difficulty is fucking tough as shit As far as I know? No. I've been unable to get a Ps3 or 360 emulator to work decently enough to run a story mode on Fight Night Round 4 or Champions

Well, your stats and boxing style matters. Agility dictates how quickly you move around, lean, and block, and for boxing style, Fast, Smooth, and Slickster are good if you wanna dance around.
As far as throwing combos in FNR3, just don't throw haymakers. They nerfed them significantly in that game, you can throw them on counters if you're fast enough but I wouldn't try to throw them otherwise. Just do the normal punches. Do career mode on easy difficulty, it'll teach you how to throw combos through the speed training mini-game.
