days of heaven

There's a disproportionate amount of schlock in there

there is no 4K release for this.

Well that sucks, figured it would exist since 2001 got one.
Pretty movie.

Life of Pi looks amazing

You can own the 4k digitally

Interstellar

2001 looks best on Laserdisc. The subsequent releases all have serious issues. The 4K version’s color is completely fucked over.

You can’t own it. You can receive limited permission to play it as long as the studio likes you to, and when they don’t want you to have it they will revoke the permissions on your DRM.

You can own VHS, Laserdiscs, and DVDs. You can not own a digital download or a Blu-Ray.

Alita Battle Angel

>watching movies in 4K that were made before 4K existed

fucking brainlet

Even with 20/20 vision you can’t tell the difference between SD and 1080 unless you’re sitting closer than two screen diagonals from your TV. You can’t tell the difference between 1080 and 4K unless you sit closer than 2/3rds of a screen diagonal away.

This is all mathematically proved. Anybody who tells you otherwise is a bald faced liar, or retarded.

I know right? 2001, Birdman, the animated Ghost in the shell

Its a troll list.

Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049. Aquaman is my new reference disc now when I show it off to people.
