It isn't
Also 2009 was the best year for Stop Motion Animation
Love this movie. Thank you for reminding me about it
Love lakia
I found it meh
it genuinely bothered me for some reason, more than any other horror movie could.
peak comfy viewing. I watch it once a year
I love how it says "director of nightmare before christmas" hoping to make you forget Burton didn't direct that. In retrospect, burton was a hack tho.
unironically one of my favorite movies of all time, and I really regret not seeing it in 3D while it was in theaters. I later got it on DVD/Blu-Ray and it came with those red/blue 3D glasses but i doubt it was close to how great it looked in cinemas. still was a fun ride though
it came out the same year as Fantastic Mr Fox, which had animation almost as good but had dialog that was way funnier.
Coraline is very impressive to watch once. FMF is rewarding to watch over and over again.
Fantastic mr fox is pretentious and most kids would not enjoy it
>which had animation almost as good
not even fucking close. Coraline is a stop motion masterpiece.
It isn't. It's one of my favourite movies.
yeah the animation was really good. you watch it once and you got it. there was not stimulating dialog to entice further watching

Absolute kino scene.
youtube.com
Kinoline is one of the greatest stop motion films ever produced
Could've done without That One Scene though
Its not you basement autist. My 10yr old sister and all her friends watched this on Netflix.
I love this movie. It's one that I can watch at least once a year and not get tired of it. Kind of like Mean Girls.
your sister has better taste than you
post pics of sis sleeping, please.
What scene?
I like the fact that she ended up with the African American boy
>he doesn't know
I would have stayed with the beldam and let her sew buttons in my eyes
I preferred her second form
I love her first transformation, when it first grows, so fashionable, would pay to stay.
Go to church.
indeed
This is the best movie ever to come out in 3D because they cared more about depth than shit coming at you.
Come the fuck at me bros bout it
peak Beldam, imagine what she could do to you with her long thin fingers.
Fuck off pedos
all i said was your sister has better taste than you and that remains true.
I showed this to my 3 year old niece. Never saw her eyes so glued to a television before.
Fuck my sister for putting Moana and Frozen on repeat.
Because it wasnt made by a mouse company who shits out capeshit.
best movie laika has made. it is not forgotten.
It's not that good
cringe
Loved the aesthetic and music.

It’s like a Tim Burton movie that doesn’t try so hard to be edgy and scary for no reason.
Because the studio that made it keep pushing these stinkers, like Trollbox and Paranorman. Last one they did, Kubo, was mildly interesting, but they never made another Coraline. I wish they just started adapting good fantasy books instead of trying to write their own scripts.
>In media studies class in school
>We usually have a movie playing in the background
As I walk into class coraline is ending
>friend walks into class and she says "oh are we gonna watch Coraline today
>Teacher says "no it just ended"
>"oh thank god, Coraline sucks."
mfw
So?
Yah when I was watching it, all I could think is that it has to have a very niche audience.
What scene? :(
I haven’t seen it but I really like the other mom.
So to all the Laika fans, is missing link worth watching? I’m of the opinion every Laika movie has gone down in quality from its predecessor. Loved coraline though.
I wish I could have seen it. Shit was only in theaters for like two weeks and it had the worst opening for a Laika film. I can't imagine it's that bad though; probably on the same level as Boxtrolls. It's the same writer and director as ParaNorman and was his pet project so it's probably a good adventure movie.
because Neil Gaiman is a hack who hasn't written anything good in 20 years
Coraline was alright. I really liked The Boxtrolls though. Feel like it's incredibly underrated. I never seen the other 2.
It isn't, it's frequently regarded as either the first or second greatest stop motion movie ever made, only nightmare before christmas rivals it.
buttons for nipples
Do they have button assholes?
