There's a new Blade Runner comic out.
It's written by the same guy that did the Blade Runner 2049 movie.
This week the 2nd issue came out.
So let's read it.

BUMP IF YOU'RE READING
Yet another variant cover.
bump
And that's that.
Download links are in the Win-O' Thread.
>coloring a Blade Runner comic in exclusively warm pastels
wtf?
Yeah I dunno how anyone can come away from watching either of the two films and think this is even remotely appropriate. Total tonal dissonance
NICE cover!
This is the weakest of the 3 covers.
It looks like they were trying to make it look like a comic book instead of trying to make it look like Blade Runner.
Probably cos it's an original Syd Mead painting and wasn't intended to be cropped as a cover
This cover's actually pretty nice.
Its pretty good. Missed getting issue 2 but i wanna go back for it
The writing was exceptional by today's standards. The art didn't seem on par though, like some other anons have mentioned.
bumping to read
Do you have the full painting?

Are you sure?
RIP Rutger Hauer
that dude is the worst sniper ever
That's great. Thanks.
Art is not bad. The problem is that it doesn't look like Blade Runner.
I think that cover is based on the cut zhora snake dance that deckard was supposed to watch in the club
How many issues is this supposed to be?
Twelve. There's no Blade Runner 2019 solicit for this November which raises a suspicion of a skip month.
Did you know GIRLS CAN BE BLADERUNNERS too? Now you do, shitlord!!!!
>Twelve
Wow. So is this gonna be 1 LONG story, or will it have smaller arcs, or... what exactly? Or do we just not know yet?
>>It's written by the same guy that did the Blade Runner 2049 movie.
>not Hampton Francher but the other guy
>the writer of Green Lantern and Alien Covenant
Oh no
Dropped
The story is fine. Try actually reading it.
bumping for others
bomp
So what's the consensus on this? Yay or nay?
I'm enjoying it a lot, but I can see the flaws.
>strong wyman protagonist
no thanks. the story is probably full of the typical sjw propaganda how all white men need to be killed, race mixing etc.
Thanks for the storytime! Comfy read
Bump. Thanks for letting me know this exists. Will it follow up on the events of the anime short?
How bout you read it, champ? Step outside your /pol/echo chamber just once
I didn't even know there was an anime.
No problem.
I'm surprised there aren't even more cyberpunk comics given that cyberpunk seems to be the new "flavor of the month" genre in sci-fi.
The aesthetics of cyberpunk are popular not the themes.
This comic takes place at about the same time as the first movie, so it's not connected to the anime which is set 3 years later.
why should I waste my time reading men hating proganda written by some self hating cuck?
Oh look another issue of this garbage.
Should have just made it about Joe or Deckard. But nope, for some reason they went with some random broad.
The thing that sucks is they'll use this shitting the bed as proof that the idea of a blade runner comic is bad. When in reality if it had been about a male blade runner I would have bought it. Two times now I've walked by it on the rack. A lot of creators have reminded me that not every comic/movie/show has to be for me. This clearly isn't, it's very clearly for valid young women and good-boys who like the idea of blade runner and like the idea of comics. And that's okay. But it would have sold better if people like me were buying it.

Why?
When has gender ever been important to Blade Runners though? Or implied there aren't female ones? You're welcome to your opinion, just wondering where the line of thought came from.
Thanks.
A female blade runner just doesn't make any sense thematically. A woman just can't experience the kind of social isolation, disconnect, and disillusionment that a man can. It's like making the protagonist of merchant mariner a female. Hard pass.
Explain why a woman can't.
thanks op
Where can I read the first part?
I didn't say it was important to being a blade runner. Both pro tags are dudes and the comic is about a woman. It isn't for me.
It would have sold better if it were for me.
I completely agree with this but the writers and the single incessant faggot/cunt in this thread will just use that as some write-off that only pigheaded people dislike this. It's not good and it's not entertaining. But overall it's also (and that quality is bad beside this) not for me.
And these people that want to make media that isn't for straight white dudes need to stop wondering why we don't want to support shit that isn't for us.
Bump
Because women aren't men.
Hard nay.
Yay. Want to see where it goes.
bump
Probably in the archives?

parody tier post
Just let him rot.
>s o y r u n n er
NO THANKS
Bump
?
Is it not?
What does that have to do with anything? That doesn't disprove the post you replied to at all.
Did anyone actually like Blade Runner 2049?
>le contrarian meme
Here's your (You)
This thread is so full of samefagging and falseflagging.
To the creator/employee ITT; it's real simple, if this were about a dude it would have sold well, despite the fact that it's terrible. It's about some random chick nobody gives a fuck about and for some reason placed in 2019. Nobody who enjoys Blade Runner wants either of that. Gender roles are VERY clearly defined in this universe, deciding to switch it up "because women like things too" is not sufficient handwaving.
>samefagging and falseflagging
nigga you don't even know what those terms mean
The original movie was set in 2019, and there's a lot of room to speculate about what gender roles for humans in the Blade Runner universe are like, because all of the female characters in the original movie were replicants.
This is very clearly not the same 2019. It thinks it is which is the problem.
Samefagging - "stealthily" replying to oneself in order to seem like more than one user.
Falseflagging - "stealthily" saying absurd things from the point of view of someone you want to discredit.
You're just doing this to bump the thread. The poster count hasn't gone up from 32. I assume you're that creator/employee.
All the female characters in real life are as well.
Bumping for OP to show us comics we wouldn’t believe
In 2049 there are human wamen
that isn't the original movie now is it?
I like it; it's very 70's
