Why are these types of stories dead nowadays? Not only is drawn animation dead but these animal centered or 'animals in a human world' types of movies were damn common back then and I loved them, regardless if it was grimdark stuff like Plagued Dogs, Felidae or movies like Pelle and the better known american ones. These atricious dreamwerk shits are something completely different from what I mean and they have 0 serious content either.
