At first I just really liked her look and the fact that she was introduced as Dredd's equal, another street judge without any special abilities or powers like Anderson but still a trusted, dependable judge.
But the difference is that, unlike Dredd, Hershey had a career. One that we can track across the entire series, from Street Judge to veteran to Council of Five to Deputy Chief and finally to Chief Judge... twice. We can see her stepping up when nobody else would and immediately getting to work, even if a part of her would rather stay in the streets. She doesn't have a selfish bone in her body and stays loyal to justice and the city, even when the city is not loyal to her.
I'm still not 100% ready for her to go, guys. I'm just not.

For me it’s Raven, specifically the animated version. I did end up picking up some Teen Titans comics after watching the show and I really enjoyed them but I like Ravens cartoon design way more than the comic version. As for what drew me to her I guess it’s just the gothic look and dark powers. I think the effect they used for her powers in the show and the way it’s animated was really cool. I’m was actually more of a Marvel guy as a kid and only really read Spider-Man and X-Men comics but Raven got me into DC stuff as well.

That is what I loved in Nyx and the New X-Men series, how she just attaches herself to these groups of more-or-less normal kids, none of which understand her or why she is there. She was different to me. I hated (and still harbour a resentment towards) Disney princesses. But Merida, she's different and I have nothing but love for her because of that. Everything about her hit all the rights notes for me, as I've said so many times before. Over time, I'd say I've focused more on the romantic side of things. Thinking about how day-to-day life would be with her, mostly how I'd maintain that spark between us (assuming there would be). I've also started channeling those feelings into creative things, like writing and the occasional art piece or edit (the former is my strong suit, though).

She's from the cartoon with the best writing, where every character is so rounded they're almost real. For female characters especially this means their personalities are so perfectly written it's unheard of in Western animation.
As the leader of the main group, she gets more focus than any other character. But unlike 99% of MC protagonists who tend to be much less interesting than their friends (to say nothing of the villains) this show's unbelievable level of writing allows it to avert that issue completely.
All the main girls are very fine-tuned mixes of sweet/innocent yet clever/sarcastic rarely seen in any media, but Will stands out in that even compared to the others. Plus she has the most appealing design of them all, and her VA is so incredibly talented and has such a unique voice that it's a pleasure to listen to (especially compared to many other female VAs).

She used to be in 2nd place for me, behind Elyon - who takes sweetness and innocence to another level. But Elyon isn't one of the main group which means she doesn't get nearly as much screentime in the show, and on top of that Will's sheer intelligence and just-enough sarcastic attitude (there's a very fine line here) made me appreciate her more and more with every rewatch.

When we did have them, then we'd definitely do our best to raise them right.
