I enjoyed this.
It was definitely a ATHF plot in a movie length, which if you like them you'll love it.
What the fuck even happens in this movie?
I’ve tried so hard and can’t even find a clip or a picture. What does it even look like?
It looks like an episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, but with a movie's worth of frames.
In ATHF fashion there can be plenty of random and noteworthy moments.
It was everything I could have asked for from an ATHF movie.
Objectively speaking, it's a terrible movie in the sense that I would never recommend it to anyone who didn't like the show.
But that comes with the understanding that being a "good" movie would make it a poor ATHF movie.
Long and short of it, ATHF is on a mission to thwart an evil excercise machine, with a mystery that segues into their origin story.
Did anyone catch it in cinema at the time of release? I didn't discover the show til much later (and it wouldn't have screened here anyway), I just envy anyone who got to watch it on the big screen in a public space
I LIKE TO BOOGIE BUT I'M NOT GAY
>NOT GAY
it's amazing. up there with south park and beavis and butthead as a perfect tv to movie transition.
Or does it?
I did! I was the only one in the theater.
Bruce Campbell plays the fourth Aqua Teen.
there is a canonical fourth aqua teen.
and tina fey is their mother.
they had a premiere in new york.
afterwards, you could go to a burger joint that had a speakeasy club in the back and for five minutes sit with dana snyder in a booth watching porn.
Please tell me you were there to experience this
I did and I was honestly surprised we got it. My dad took me to see it since we both loved ATHF.
I watched the whole thing, it was fun. But i didn't quite get it.
The moonites, the other aliens and the robot chicken were trying to recover a time machine or piece of that and turned out that professor weird was the creator of the ATHF and a chicken, i guess, lost track kinda quickly.
Booty, not boogie.
Yeah - the only people in the theater were my group of friends and a couple who were clearly there to fool around in the back.
We took the foreign exchange student to see it and he had never heard of ATHF, so all he had to work off of was the poster. He was apparently expecting Lord of the Rings. His constant "what ZE FOOK is this" is something I will cherish forever.
I thought Frylocke made Dr. Weird.
It did? it got pretty convoluted at the end.
In fact i watched a few weeks ago and that's the conclusion i made, basically because basically the plot has no sense and it's kinda unimportant, but i guess the general idea is there, like an origin story.
who knows what it's like to sit next to dana snyder and have the silence be broken with "that's a huge bush huh carl" said as master shake
If you want it to be good, you are watching for the wrong reasons.
The Aqua Teens, Dr. Weird, and the Insan-o-Flex were all created by Walter Melon with the singular purpose of buying up housing and destroying each other, so that he (Walter) could inherit the land, and build the Insan-o-Gym on it
This all falls apart when it's revealed that all his creations rent their housing instead of own it (also the fact that he can't build a business in a residential neighborhood)
How much simpler could they make it?
not really. the best things about it were the boris vallejo poster and the intro with mastodon.
A waifu thread died for this shit
just an hour long episode
Anyone here remember when adult swim aired the entire movie, but it was in a tiny box in the lower right hand corner of the screen? Cause that was the first time i saw it , that is until my friend ordered it on pay per view and i got to watch it for real
Good.
