Which one out of the various GI Joe reboots is this? This seems less shitty than the ones I saw a few years back. I might actually try this out.

This is the Larry Hama-written one that continues from the one all the way started in Marvel aka the good/still best one.

Yeah, it's a shame that this series doesn't get more promotion than it does. The continuity of it and the head creative talent is something that deserves more recognition at the very least.

It's funny how the threads abut the new turtle from the IDW comic had people complaing about how they turned G.I. Joe into communist anti-american propaganda when the run they were refereing to got replaced by this pretty decent comic, but it's not like any of them actually read comics anyway

You know, if they learned from their mistakes then I guess that they wouldn't be the Cobra that we all know and love; but wasn't Mindbender messing around with Snake Eyes' mental signature and memory/brain altering tech the whole reason why the Joes got a girl-Snake Eyes not very long ago?

I'll agree with you that it could be a lot more eye-catching, but it actually strikes me that it really works with Joe history.
It's an old thing where Destro plays around with little figures of the characters on a chessboard when he's visualizing strategy (also kind of a self-aware gesture to the toy line).
So with him as a figure on the chessboard with the Robot Monster's hand manipulating it really works in how it turns the old image around, I think.

This ISN'T a reboot. This is a direct continuation of the original G.I. Joe comics from Marvel.

This wasn't a "replacement" for anything. This comic has been published for 10 YEARS. It's been around since LONG before the Hasbroverse faggotry.
