The Apu video highlighted what's wrong with his video and how he handles monetization; he drags out an opinion that can be well explained in ten minutes to almost an hour. This makes him pad it out with awkward pauses and beats and information like in OP that make the whole thing look worse.

The writers fucking "soft retired" Apu three years before the documentary and hadn't been using him. They didn't like Apu either and the creator of the documentary said he's over it, but the film served as a retrospective about the importance of representation.
